Into the Unknown

Chapter 3

Kory's P.O.V.

I almost died of relief when the bell rang. I quickly gathered my things and rushed to Mel's side. "man, that guy's intense." I whispered as I watched him pick up his things and make his way, in no hurry, out of the room.
"No kidding, I thought he was gunna rip you apart." Mel laughed, putting her pencil in her bag.
"Seriously." I sighed, "Come on, let's go to The Cafe. Screw those guys."
On the way to the cafe I told Mel about Jimmy in History. She stared at me wide eyed, "Nu-huh." Was all she could manage when I finished.
"Yes, he totally told that guy off. It was kind of scary, the anger in his voice." I exclaimed, "And then Matt asked me if I was scared of him. He didn't believe me when I told him I wasn't."
Mel rolled her eyes, "I saw you, you looked like you were going to keel over and die." She poked me in the ribs and ran across the parking lot to the entrance of The Cafe.
The Cafe was a place Mel and I have been going to since we got into high school, it had good coffee and sweets and it was close enough to walk to, so it didn't waste any gas. The Cafe was a homey place, it always smelled like cinnamon and, of course, coffee. We have made friends with the manager and the employees so we often got free coffees, we never asked for anything free they just did it.
Mel and I sat in the booth we always sat in and began to talk about stupid things.
"I like unicorns," I was saying when the bell on the door chimed. We both looked to the entrance and groaned.
"Why are they here?" Mel complained, quietly to me as the guys made their way to a booth across the room from us.
""Mm...I'm guessing to get a coffee?" I guessed, sarcastically.
Mel rolled her eyes at me.
We booth discreetly watched as the guys had an intense conversation with each other.
"I wonder what they're talking about. "
I shrugged and took a sip of my coffee and grimaced. Mel gave me a sympathetic look.
"This is yours." I managed nearly coughing up my lungs. I guess my coughing caught their attention because when I was finished dying, I looked up to see them all looking at me. I quickly looked back down at the table, my cheeks bright red, I squeezed in my shoulders to make myself look smaller and not important, "Shit." I muttered under my breath as Jimmy made his way over to our booth.
"Hey girls, what's up?" He asked, scooting into the booth next to me, his body pushing mine to the window.
"Not much, just drinking some coffee." Mel answered, taking a sip of her black coffee. I grimaced. Yuck.
"You guys always come here?" He asked, placing his chin in his hands. He looked over at me.
I nodded, mutely, not daring to say a word.
Jimmy nodded, "Cool, is the coffee good here?"
Mel nodded this time, busying herself with her cup.
I looked over at the table he was sitting at and saw the guys watching.
Jimmy nudged me with his elbow, "What do you recommend."
I looked at the table top, "The regular cappuccino is good." I said, beginning to become myself again. Why should I be scared of this guy? Or any of them for that matter.
I straightened up and looked up at him. Even though he was sitting, he was still tall.
Jimmy gave me a dazzling smile before getting up and winking at Mel, "Cool, thanks."
I nodded at him as if to say, 'No problem' and went back to my drink.

Jimmy's P.O.V.

"She has no idea." I confirmed as I slid into the booth next to Zacky.
"Good, it needs to stay like that for a little while longer. Until the next full moon." Matt said, wringing his hands in front of him.
'Nervous?" I asked, smirking, knowing the answer.
He scoffed and smirked back me, "Please, why would I be nervous?"
I shrugged, "Just wondering."
He rolled his eyes and sipped at the cappuccino I ordered him. I took a quick glance back at Kory and her friend who were back into their conversation. AS if they were totally oblivious of us sitting here. I could tell what kind of effect Matt had on her. It should have an effect on her. They belong together.
She was a good looking girl, her long black hair slid down to the small of her back. Her blue eyes sparkled with enjoyment as she sat with her friend.
Her friend must have said something funny because Kory then let out a small laugh and she took another sip of her cappuccino. She was definitely the one I saw in my visions. She was the exact same girl.
Matt already adored her and he obviously wanted to take control of her. It doesn't see, like it would be too hard. Either way, Matt always liked a little fight.
I looked over at Matt who was watching me. I smiled and nodded as if to assure him she was the one. And she had no idea what was going to happen.
