The next morning I think I was the last one awake because Alice wasn’t in bed and I could hear everyone talking downstairs so I got up, used the bathroom then pulled my hood up and walked down into the kitchen ‘morning sunshine!’ ‘fuck off’ ‘awww’ ‘don’t worry Johnny she just hasn’t had her coffee yet’ I heard Alice say as I walked over to the coffee and got myself a big cup with creamer and some Splenda,

I leaned against the counter and started sipping it slowly because it was boiling. Someone tried to talk to me but Alice stopped them ‘she has to have half her coffee and her morning smoke before anyone tries talking to her’ ‘oh’ Matt nodded and she nodded back then I walked out onto the porch for my smoke. When I came back in I finished up my coffee then cleaned my cup ‘mom and dad decided to go away for the weekend and they left Matt in charge’ Alice said and I nodded a little ‘breakfast?’ I asked and they nodded so I made us all bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches

‘Where did they go?’ I asked as I handed Alice her plate, she shrugged ‘I don’t know, they just said that they would be back Sunday night’ ‘Alright then’ I nodded and she nodded back then started eating with the rest of the guys. When we all finished they helped me with dishes then we just decided to hang around all day. We had all went to bed fairly early actually, like 10ish but I couldn’t sleep so I was downstairs playing the piano and of course I was playing Davey Jones because it was my favorite but I've been messing up

‘damn it’ I whispered when I messed up again so I just sighed and turned around to see Zack smiling at me while he leaned on the doorframe, I blushed and cleared my throat a little ‘I didn’t wake you did I?’ ‘No I needed some water, why are you up?’ ‘Couldn’t sleep’ I said softly, he nodded then walked into the kitchen to grab a drink, I sighed a little and walked over to sit on the couch after I grabbed the remote.

I turned on the tv and started flipping through the channels as Zack came back with a glass of water and sat next to me ‘So how long have you played the piano?’ Zack asked me softly and I looked over at him in the light of the tv ‘my mom put me in classes when I was five but I didn’t really start liking it until I was seven’ I said and he nodded a bit ‘how long have you been playing guitar?’ ‘Oh god, ever since I can remember really’ ‘that’s good, the only other thing I can play is drums’ ‘that’s cool, Matt can play drums’ ‘what about you?’

‘Nah, I can play guitar and piano’ ‘I feel like all you guys can play every instrument’ I said with a smile, he laughed a little and nodded a bit ‘but it’s good to be able to play different things, makes someone more interesting’ I said softly, and he looked over at me, I bit my lip and looked down then shifted in my seat so I could face him. I pulled my knees up to my chest and laid my arms on them as he stayed facing forward.

‘So, how old are you?’ he asked as he took another sip of water ’17, I’ll be 18 December 11th, what about you?’ ‘I'm 27 and my birthday is also December 11th’ ‘I know’ I giggled and he laughed then looked over at me ‘have any tattoos?’ ‘Not yet, my mom won’t sign for me so I’ll just have to wait’ I said and he nodded a bit ‘of course I can't ask you the same question’ ‘no I suppose not’ ‘well then, how about a smoke?’

‘Sure’ he nodded and we stood up then went outside, I just gave him one of mine because his were upstairs and I knew when I didn’t sleep I’d come out and smoke so I just put mine in my pocket. ‘Are you going to go to college?’ ‘I haven’t decided yet, even if I do go I wouldn’t know what to go for’ ‘what about music?’ he asked and I shrugged a bit ‘I honestly just want to get away from here, not far, but far enough’ I said as I looked back at him, he nodded then we finished up and went back inside and sat on the couch the same way as before.

‘Do you have a boyfriend?’ ‘Never’ I whispered and he looked over at me with shock on his face ‘you’ve never had a boyfriend?’ ‘No, I'm sure you haven’t either’ I smirked; he smiled but nodded a little ‘I've had a girlfriend though’ ‘oh?’ ‘Yeah, it’s not the same and it only lasted a few weeks and in that relationship I had to the boyfriend and I think I’d rather be the girl friend you know?’ ‘Yeah, kinda’ he said and I just smiled a little

‘what about you?’ ‘Oh, I had one but I don’t now’ ‘weren’t you guys together for a long time?’ ‘Yeah’ ‘what happened?’ ‘She, she cheated’ he whispered then started biting on his lip a little so I moved and wrapped my arms around his shoulders and brought his head to my chest, he wrapped his arms around my waist as I heard him sniffle a little so I rubbed his bare back slowly to calm him down ‘I don’t understand why, what did I do?’ he whispered, I pulled him away and put my hands on his face softly

‘Don’t ever, ever think that this was your fault because it wasn’t, I know I don’t know you but I already know you're sweet, kind, very handsome and any woman would be lucky to be with such a great guy’ I whispered as I wiped a few of his tears away, he nodded a little and I smiled then leaned up and kissed his forehead softly ‘now, how about I make us some hot chocolate?’ I asked and he nodded, I nodded back then stood up and stretched a little and walked into the kitchen with him following.

I grabbed everything I needed, put it all together then stuck the cups in the microwave and turned to see Zack leaning against the counter with his arms crossed ‘Now now Mr. Baker, cheer up, you're getting hot chocolate’ I smiled as I walked over and stood in front of him, he smiled a little and nodded ‘are there marshmallows?’ ‘There can be’ I nodded and he smiled big, I laughed a little then walked into Alice’s pantry to find that the gooey goodness was up high and I couldn’t reach it

‘Zacky’ I called and he walked in a few seconds later and I pointed to the top shelve ‘oh’ he said and I nodded ‘you have to get them’ ‘I can't get those’ ‘ugh, well left me up then’ I said and he nodded then came over and lifted me up onto his shoulder, I reached up for them and finally got them ‘ok’ I said and he nodded then set me back on my feet ‘thanks’ I blushed and he nodded a little and looked down at me, I bit my lip a little and was about to say something but the microwave beeped so I walked back into the kitchen and grabbed the drinks, put in the goodness then handed him his cup and we walked back over to the couch.

‘So, do you have any piercings?’ he asked and I nodded ‘I do actually, I have my belly button and I did it myself’ ‘no way’ ‘mhm, wanna see?’ I asked and he nodded so I set my cup down then laid back a little and lifted my tank up, I just had a plain black barbell in but since it was dark, because we only had the tv on for light, he had to lean down to see it ‘cool, when did you do this?’

‘Few years ago’ ‘sweet and it’s centered’ ‘I know I was mostly excited about that’ I said and he looked up at me and smiled, I smiled back then laid all the way back once he started moving up to hover over me ‘You’re so beautiful, I can't believe you’ve never had a boyfriend’ he whispered very softly, I bit my lip and looked into his amazing green eyes. I lifted my hands up and set them on his face as I ran my nails slowly over the little beard he had going

‘don’t say anything you're going to regret just because you're upset’ I said softly and he nodded a bit ‘I don’t regret calling you beautiful, it’s the truth, even if you don’t want to believe it’ he whispered again, I just looked down at the very small space between us then felt as he lifted my chin up so I could look at him again ‘can I kiss you?’ I barely whispered as I stared back into his eyes, he smiled a little and nodded then leaned down as I leaned up and I just barely kissed him

‘I won’t bite’ he whispered with a little amusement in his voice when he noticed I was scared to push more into the kiss ‘what if I want you to?’ I whispered back and he didn’t say anything, just kissed me again a little hard and I pushed into it more as I wrapped my arms around his neck a little. I felt his hand go to my hip but he didn’t move it from there which I was great-full for because I had just met him, when we pulled away we stared into each other’s eyes and smiled a little

‘thanks for the first kiss’ I whispered then bit my lip a little, he smiled and nodded ‘no problem, but we’ll keep this between us yes?’ he asked and I nodded, I knew we were 10 years apart and that would be a problem till I was 18 so we weren’t going to say anything and I really didn’t want Alice to know, I don’t know how she’ll take it. Zack yawned a little and I smiled ‘you should go back to bed’ ‘I don’t wanna leave you here’ ‘ok, why don’t I grab a blanket and we’ll sleep here?’ I asked and he nodded then got off of me and let me up,

I grabbed a blanket out of the closet and walked back over to the couch. We cuddled up, finished our drinks then watched tv until we both passed out. When I woke up I was still lying on Zack’s chest, I knew he was awake because he was talking to someone, well, someone’s ‘Shut up’ I whispered and I heard laughing ‘awww poor Remy’ I heard Alice say, I opened my eyes and glared at her

‘I made you coffee’ she said then held out a cup to me. I sat up, not realizing I was sitting on Zack’s waist and took it sipping it slowly ‘how’d you sleep?’ she asked and I looked down at Zack, he smiled at me, I smiled back then looked over at Alice ‘it was good, I couldn’t sleep when we first went to bed though so I came down here and fucked with the piano’ I said and she nodded. I moved off Zack’s waist and stood up; I stretched a little then grabbed my smokes from the coffee table and walked outside into the crisp air. I set my cup on the rail then lit up right as arms slipped around my waist;

I looked down and smiled ‘did you sleep well?’ I asked as I handed over my pack and fire, he nodded then lit up but kept his arm around my waist ‘don’t get us in trouble’ I whispered with a little smile, he chuckled and nodded then let go and stood next to me ‘I have to go home today’ I said and he pouted a little ‘really?’ ‘Mhm’ ‘Will I get to see you again?’ he asked a little sadly, I smiled and nodded ‘you're only a 30 minute drive my dear’ I said and he smiled big then we finished our smokes and headed back inside

‘Remy?’ ‘Hmm?’ ‘Will you make breakfast?’ ‘No’ I said as I looked down at Alice, she nodded a little and I walked upstairs to pull on my pants from yesterday, put my bra and sweater back on then I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs to pull on my shoes ‘I didn’t say I wouldn’t buy McDonald’s!’ I yelled as I walked out the door and she came running out after me with a list of food in her hand, I shook my head and got in the car and drove.

We ordered through the drive threw and luckily the guys gave her money for their food so I just added to it. When we finally got our three bags of food and two drink trays we headed home. ‘Food!’ I called as I walked in carrying the drinks; We all got the same thing to drink so I set them on the table then sat next to Zack as Alice handed out the food. I got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel with a hash brown, my favorite from there and I got it every time I went which wasn’t that often. ‘Alright, I have to go’ I said as it turned 10:30

‘oh I forgot it was Sunday’ Alice said and I nodded then hugged her and the rest of the guys ‘can I walk you to your car?’ Zack asked and I nodded, waved bye one more time then we headed out the door ‘why do you have to leave so early?’ ‘Oh I turn into Cinderella on Sunday’s’ I said and he looked confused ‘I have to clean the house, do everyone’s laundry, make everyone’s lunch for the week and make dinner for the week then try to get enough sleep to go to school the next day’ I explained,

He just raised an eyebrow ‘that’s not cool’ ‘I know but it’s only like 9 more months then I can leave’ I said and he nodded a little then hugged me, I hugged back and kissed his cheek ‘If you want my number you can get it from Alice, if not, see you when I see you’ I said, he nodded then stood back up on the driveway as I got in my car and pulled out. When I got home I went up to my room, took my shoes off, put my trophy away then started bringing all the dirty clothes down,

I started a load then started making the food for the week and it took me the whole day to do everything I told Zack about. When I finally got to go to bed I took off my bra and laid down, I checked my phone and saw that I had a message from Zack so I texted back and told him sorry because I was cleaning all day and that I was also going to bed and would text him tomorrow. He said it was ok and wished me sweet dreams; I smiled, plugged in my phone then passed out.
