Chapter 12
Erin’s P.O.V
For three days I waited to see if Zack was gonna come back… I was unsure what his deal was or what Jimmy had said but honestly… there was a huge hole in my heart. I slept in our bed every single night and ended up crying and waking up from nightmares. Everything in my world was off and I just wish that he wouldn’t have ran. I was just getting through the fourth night when I shot up out of bed sweaty and crying and just out of breath.
“Fuck..” I said and just bawled my eyes out. I picked up the phone and called Izzy cause I knew that she was a night owl and that she was just nearing the end of her pregnancy.
“Hey girl are you okay?” She asked when she answered.
“I just had another nightmare… just hate that Zack left.. you wanna come over and share some cookie dough?” I asked and I heard her make a hunger noise.
“Yeah I will be right over. Jim Jam is dead asleep and snoring anyways” She said and I just laughed and I heard her come into the house and go into the kitchen. She came through my door and smiled and plopped down on the bed.
“So you wanna talk about it some more E?” She asked and I just sighed and wiped the tears from my face.
“Ugh I just don’t understand Iz… I get that he was pissed and fed up and worried but I just don’t understand why he hasn’t called… messaged or come back period. He is everything to me and I just miss him so so much” I said looking down at my rings.
“I gotta say that he isn’t my favorite person right now because of when you were bringing Colby into the world but I am pissed that he left… you don’t deserve this and I know there is more to the story but he really could have stayed. But E can I tell you something between the two of us?” She asked and I nodded.
“Jimmy gave the orders for you to be sent to your sister… and he also knows the truth… the truth that your father lied to you when he sent you back… you had moved up on the death list nearly right after you got back and you dad knew it was gonna happen… And Jimmy told me when it happened..” She said and I was in shock… I started crying again and I was mad that Jimmy didn’t tell me although deep down I knew he couldn’t and he was just protecting me.
“I guess I should have seen it coming” I said and she just sat there not knowing what to say.
“I mean it is clear that I am marked for death… happened so many times I have lost count… I can’t be mad at you two.. thanks for telling me Iz” I said and she hugged me. I cried a little bit more just getting it out and we sat there eating the cookie dough and just laughing about old times. We really were the same two people we used to be. After an hour I walked her back to the other house and put her to bed cause she was tired and her feet were probably killing her. I walked back to Zack’s and sat down on the couch and fell asleep once again. I was awoken in the morning by Izzy walking in and then yelling in pain right as she walked in the door.
“Fucking god Erin… I don’t suppose you know where my fucking husband is do you?” She asked holding her stomach. I ran over to her and sat her down on the couch so she was as comfortable as possible.
“IZ BREATHE! I will find him… I am sure that he just over at Matt’s” I said and called over to Matt’s. Brian answered the phone sounding incredibly worried.
“Brian is Jimmy over there?” I asked.
“Yeah because Val went into labor this morning so Ellie gathered everyone” He said and I just threw my head back in frustration.
“Well you fucking tell Jimmy that his wife is over here in labor as well” I said and I heard Jimmy gasp like he had heard me yell it. After a moment Jimmy was in the house and comforting Izzy. I had no idea what to do but it sounded like Ellie was completely tied up with Val at the moment.
“Oh val why the hell did you have to have the kid now? Alright Jim I need you to help her onto the kitchen table so I can see how far along the process is!” I said getting a little frantic. Luckily Ellie always left medical supplies over here. I put on some gloves and Izzy just looked at me horrified.
“E do you think that you should be doing this?” She asked and I just sighed.
“Listen.. you are in labor… so is Val.. Ellie is busy and Jimmy has no idea how to do this so will you please just take down your pants and your thong and just work with me?” I said reasoning with her. She cried and Jimmy helped her strip down. I put one of those cover things over her legs and I immediately saw the dirty blonde head of hair. I smiled and I looked at Iz and Jimmy peeked down and when he saw the baby’s head he was just so happy.
“Iz I need you to take a huge breath in and then push really hard and squeeze Jimmy’s hand for about ten seconds. The baby’s head is right there and you don’t have far to go” I said and she was in immense pain I could understand… even if she was an angel it still was a painful experience. She grabbed Jimmy’s hand and he sat her up a little with his other hand on her back and she pushed as hard as she possibly could. I held the baby’s head as it came to the shoulders and she stopped gasping for air.
“You are doing so good bestfriend.. so great.. just another couple of pushes and you will be done” I said and she nodded and braced herself again as another huge contraction hit her like a train. She yelled and I could see Jimmy nearly dying in pain from her grip.
“The shoulders are out just one more Iz” And before I could even finish that statement she pushed again and the little baby slid out the rest of the way… It was a girl and I was so proud of Iz. I grabbed a towel and cleaned the little girl off and put the baby in Izzy’s arms. Izzy wiped some stray tears from her eyes and just smiled at the little girl she welcomed into the world. Jimmy and Izzy sat there as the little girl cooed in joy of seeing her mom and dad. I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked at Izzy.
“What is this marvelous little girls name?” I asked her and Jimmy. Jimmy just shrugged but Iz already knew. She smiled and turned her head to the baby.
“Raven Elizabeth Sullivan… my angel… my princess and one of the best things to ever happen to me” She said and rubbed the little girls hair.
“So beautiful Iz; I am going to give you two a moment alone and go check on Val okay? I will see if Ellie can come and check on Raven after” I said and they just continued giving all their love to Raven. I walked over to Matt’s and when I walked in Matt was joyfully crying and I walked over and saw Val holding this handsome little boy with the same eyes as Matt. Matt saw me and hugged me tightly. I came close to Val and rubbed her hair and I cried.
“Oh my goodness who is this?” I asked and she smiled and was still trying to gain composure.
“This is River Sanders” She said and I was just in complete awe. I looked down at the little boy and he was just sooo cute. Today was a huge day for everyone….. and still… Zack wasn’t here. I pulled myself back and walked over to Ellie.
“Elle I had to deliver Izzy’s little girl. Could you go and check and make sure everything is okay?” And just then the who room shut up.
“Izzy had her baby?” Brian asked along with Johnny in unison.
“Yes not but 10 minutes ago Izzy and Jimmy brought a beautiful baby girl by the name of Raven Elizabeth Sullivan into the world” I said and everyone smiled in happiness.
Now… we have a Raven… and a River J
