Long May They Reign

People were arriving and the corridors were full of people.
"Please welcome Princess Amelia Taisia Barlborin and the young Princess Anastasiya Nikolette Barbolin!" The two walked out hand in hand, waving to the people as they cheered. The princesses were adored due to their beauty and kindness although Amelia was a lot tougher than her sister. They made a short speech as they do at every ball and parted ways. Amelia tends to great the people and look for potential suitors while Ana only makes a short appearance and disappears to who knows where.
"My, aren't you lovely." Brian says as he bows then kisses her hand.
"Why thank you kind sir. Do you by chance know where Ana has ran off to?"
"I'm sorry Amelia. I haven't seen her, but there are some suitors i would like you to meet."
"Oh, i liked the sound of that." Her cousin took her hand and led her over to 4 men, all of which are friends. All of the men greeted her properly and kissed her hand, it was also very fortunate that they were attractive as she walk walking away after their greeting, one touched her shoulder.
"Milady, would you do me the blessing of dancing with me?" She looked to the man bowing before her, twas Prince Zachary Baker. Amelia may not have known him well, but she did hear of him. Apparently both of his former wives were convicted of adultery and were executed. He was heartbroken when his first wife died.
"Yes, you may." He grabbed her hand and led her out to the dance floor. He pulled her tight which surprised her for a stranger. They made small talk, but neither talked about their past, only their ambitions for the kingdom. He would make a great King, but his reputation was holding her back.
"I believe people call you the Prince of Vengeance. Would you care to explain? I find it quite interesting." Amelia surprised Zachary by her sudden straightforward confrontation, but he should have known, that is what she is known for. Her trickery and intelligence.
"I would tell you, but the name says it all. If someone betrays me there is no mercy and vengeance shall me made. It's something i always succeed at, being truthfully honest."
"I'm not surprise, but that is a good quality to have for ruling a kingdom. Reminds me of my father, he was a tough ruler and it kept his reputation strong and enemies at bay, but with his family he was much kinder."
"You know people call you the King in a Queen's disguise?"
"I've heard something like that. Do you wish to know why?"
"Intrigue me." He suddenly pulled her closer that their bodies were touching and she could feel his breathe on her neck.
"Let's just say that my ruling tactics are that of a King. I could be similar to you...ruthless." She responded in his ear. When the song ended she departed with a goodbye and vanished from his view. Zachary has never met one like that before, and he wasn't going to let her get away either.
