Video Star

I woke up early, like 7 something so I only got three hours of sleep but regardless I got up, brewed my coffee, had my smoke then when in and made my coffee. I opened up my laptop and uploaded yesterday’s video which took maybe an hour so I just watched cartoons. Once it finished uploading I started doing a lot of research on moving out to CA, I really didn’t want a big house because I didn’t have a lot of stuff and I really didn’t wanna buy any extra furniture if I didn’t have to ‘let’s go with one story’ I said to myself then started looking, they were a lot cheaper than I had expected,

I mean they were expensive but not what I thought and after hours and a few breaks I finally found the perfect one so I texted Matt to see if he was up ‘yeah I'm up, what's up?’ ‘I found the perfect house :)’ ‘No way really?’ ‘Mhm, I just have to come look at it’ ‘sweet did you set up an appointment?’ ‘Not yet I wanted to send you the link so you could look at it’ ‘oh ok well here’s my email’ he texted so I emailed him the link then waited ‘that’s cute, why one story though?’ ‘I don’t have a lot of stuff and I don’t wanna have to buy a lot of stuff’ ‘oh ok, well I like it and think you should make an appointment to go see it’ ‘ok, you think the end of the week is good?’ ‘See what they have available and don’t let your bf catch on’ he texted and I nodded a little then told him I was going to call and would text him when I got off the phone.

So I called the realtor and she picked up after a few rings ‘hello this is Jamie, how can I help you?’ ‘Hi Jamie, my names Echo and I was looking at a house that’s for sale online in Huntington Beach, CA and I was wondering if I could set up an appointment to look at it’ ‘oh sure sure, what's the address?’ she asked and I gave it to her then I heard her typing so I'm guessing she was looking it up ‘oh ok, this one’s cute, when would you like to look at it?’ ‘Well, I live on the east coast so I'm going to have to fly out to come see it; do you think we could do Thursday of this week?’ I asked then I heard her flip some papers ‘oh yes that’s perfect, what time would you like?’ ‘Um, something early, maybe 9 or 10, should I call you Thursday morning and we’ll see what's going on?’ ‘Yeah that would probably be best’ ‘great thank you so much I'm really looking forward to seeing the house’ ‘I'm looking forward to showing it to you’ she said and I laughed a little, we said bye and I texted Matt giving him all the info then I called the airline and got a ticket for Wednesday morning.

When all that was finished I had breakfast then I went through my closet and started to put something’s together that I wanted to take, I’d be leaving Friday morning so I really only need like two days’ worth of clothes. I was thinking I’d wear sweats on the plane, stay in those all day and night, then dress in something nice to see the house and then just redress in the same sweats because I’d be going home early the next morning anyway so it didn’t really matter. I packed a messenger bag and changed my purse over to a clutch so I could take my messenger bag as my carry on, I made sure I had everything I needed then I booked a hotel for Wednesday and Thursday night. After that I didn’t really do anything, it was only Monday and I had already upload the video I had to so I just kinda sat around and did nothing. It was like that all of Tuesday also but Wednesday morning I was up and ready to go. I showered then dressed in a bra and thong, I pulled on gray sweats and my black and white DC’s, I grabbed my bag and went downstairs.

I made sure I had everything including my phone and keys then I made sure everything was off and I left for the airport. I parked in the extended parking then walked into the airport and over to the ticket thing. I made sure I had out my ID and conformation email by the time I got up there ‘good morning, what’s the name?’ ‘Echo James’ I said and he looked at me a little funny so I handed over my ID and printed email ‘ok’ he said then looked me up, found me and handed everything back then told me where to go to get my bag checked.

I did all that fun stuff then headed onto the plane and took my seat and I hate flying by the way so I was extremely nervous. Once we were in the air I turned on my iPod and made sure I didn’t look out the window until we landed seven and a half hours later but I guess technically it was eight because we had to refuel but it didn’t take long. So anyway, we landed around 4 pm and I got a cab to take me to the hotel, he was very polite which was a relief; we made it there in like five minutes.

I paid him then got out and went into the hotel, I went up to the desk and pulled out my ID again and my other conformations email from them ‘can I help you?’ ‘Uh yeah, I have a room booked for two nights, here’s my email’ I said as I handed the paper over to the lady, she looked me up then asked for my ID so I gave it to her and she smiled then handed everything back including my room key and told me to have a good stay. I smiled, nodded then went over to the elevator and up to the first floor which I thought was a little weird but I'm guessing the actual first floor was the lobby and food and things like that so I just followed her directions and was at my room in no time.

I slipped the card in and walked in to see the little room and I was happy with it. Bed, tv, some kitchen things, bathroom with towels already there and a closet that I wasn’t going to use. I set my bag on the bed then called Jamie and told her I had arrived and we decided on meeting at the house around 10 so when I hung up I set the alarm for 6:30 just in case something decided to go wrong I’d still have some time. But anyway, I didn’t really do anything the rest of the day, I grabbed some food in the lobby then I went back up and went to bed after a few more hours.

When I woke up the next morning I checked my phone, watched tv, had some coffee then went down and grabbed some breakfast then went back up to my room to eat. I showered, did my hair and makeup then dressed, pulled my shoes on and grabbed my clutch out of my messenger bag. I made sure I had everything as I put the keycard in my bag then I headed out and I asked them to call me a cab, they did and the guy had me there at 9:45 ‘good luck’ ‘thanks’ I smiled then got out just as Jamie was pulling up ‘you must be Echo’ she smiled, I nodded and we shook hands ‘I love your name’ ‘thanks, the guy at the airport thought I was joking until I gave him my ID’ I laughed and so did she ‘shall we go in?’ she asked and I nodded then we walked over to the garage and she punched in the code thing to get the key out. We went in and I instantly smiled. ‘You seem happy’ ‘I am, the pictures don’t do it justice’ I said and she nodded a little. The garage was huge and it had a few steps you walk up to get to the door that goes into the house.

When you open that door there’s another door to the left and that goes into the basement so that’s where we went first since we were right there, ‘wow this is huge’ ‘yeah it runs the length of the house and it’s already finished with a full bath and down here is the only carpet other than the bedrooms upstairs, everything else is hard wood’ she said as I looked around ‘this is great’ I said and she nodded then we went back upstairs and actually walked into the house. There was a little nook counter thing to the left that I could probably use as a walking out of the house place, somewhere to put shoes and keys, things like that. Then a few inches up there was an actual laundry room ‘oh sweet! I've always wanted a laundry room’ I smiled as I looked around. There was already a washer and dryer, there was one of those bucket sinks to and some cabinets above the sink and washer. ‘This is actually pretty big’ Jamie said as she looked around also, I nodded and we walked out and into the little hallway/entry thing.

The first door in the hall was the master bedroom so we went in and I smiled so big I probably looked crazy ‘wow’ she said and I nodded ‘you haven’t been here before?’ I asked and she shook her head no as she looked up at the high ceilings. There was a very good sized closet and it had an attached bathroom, the potty was in its own little room which I always thought was so cool and it had a shower, garden tub and another closet that was only slightly bigger then that one in the bedroom but that’s ok. The sink was a double vanity and it had some more storage right next to the closet ‘ok this bathroom is awesome’ I said and she laughed a little then we decided to leave the bedroom. Directly across from the door to the master was a hall closet that was attached to a little study room and it had a built in desk ‘oh that’s cool, I could film in here’ I said and Jamie just kinda looked at me ‘oh, I make YouTube videos with my music and I actually just got signed to a record label’ ‘oh that’s so cool’ ‘yeah so this would be perfect for either filming or editing’ I said and she nodded then we walked out back into the hall that lead into the rest of the house.

We went into the great room/family room first and it was pretty big, tall ceilings and it had a door leading out to a covered porch ‘now this is actually the front of the house so you can come in this door or through the garage’ she explained and I nodded then we went back inside. The great room also had a gas fire place and cabinets on both sides ‘I don’t really like fire places’ I said as I looked it over ‘why not?’ ‘I don’t know, I just don’t really like them. How much would it be to take it out?’ ‘I have no idea, you’d have to call a contractor’ she said and I nodded then we walked into the kitchen which had an island with a bar ‘thank god, I love islands with bars, it’s so much easier to place the food out’ ‘yeah I like them to and this is a great size’ ‘oh yeah this is really nice’ ‘well here’s where you’d eat and these doors lead to another covered porch but I feel like this should be closed off and turned into a sun room’

‘Yeah I think that would be best, I mean there can be some steps to go out into the back yard but I’d like a sun room, I can also plant some trees or something’ I said and she nodded then we walked back in, she shut and locked the doors and we looked at the eating area more, I could get a nice sized table in here with no problem ‘now over here there’s another little hall with two bedrooms on the ends and another full bath in the middle’ she said as we walked over there, we walked into the bathroom first and it was a regular size with a tub/shower. There were two closets outside each bedroom but we went in the one on the left first ‘oh this is nice, I could film in here to’ ‘yeah that’s what I was thinking and with the study you could keep all your instruments and filming equipment in there’ ‘oh that’s a good idea’ I said and she smiled and thanked me. I looked in the closet, decent size and then we went to the other room and it was exactly the same. Same size, closet, and window but this one looked out to the front of the house and the other looked out the back.

‘This house really is amazing’ ‘shall we talk about numbers?’ she asked and I nodded then we walked back into the kitchen, there wasn’t any furniture so we just leaned against the counter. She told me the price and said we could probably get it a little lower, I agreed then told her I wanted it immediately so she walked away a bit and called the owners. I don’t know how long she was gone for but she came back with a big smile on her face ‘they agreed!’ ‘YAY!!’ I yelled and jumped up and down ‘and I told them that you had to fly out here so they’re going to come over here and were going to get everything signed’ ‘oh my god no way!’ ‘Mhm, after today we could have you moved in within a week or two’ ‘that’s amazing’ I smiled, she smiled back and we just talked more as we waited for the old owners to come over and it didn’t take them long. They were very nice and we all signed the papers and talked some more then we all headed out. Jamie actually gave me a ride back to the hotel because her office was that way anyway. I called Matt and told him the very exciting news then we talked about it until he had to leave for sound check.
