Brian scoffed and ignored the rest while looking at the door, hoping that Elliot would be okay soon.

Now

It was a week later and no news came from the hospital about Elliot. The school had to be informed and that was a nightmare for Matt telling them, telling them that his sister was in a coma and that she could never wake up again. Kim and Gary Sanders had to come home early, wanting to be with Elliot and Amy came home with Dan, wanting to be with her family.

Jimmy, Brian and Zacky were still having the same arguments they had while they were at hospital. Brian didn't see why Jimmy still went and visited Elliot if she was just seventeen year old girl. Zacky tried to stay out of everything but he somehow always got involved.

“Hey, I'm going seeing El, you coming?” Matt asked Brian and Zacky as they talked in house.

“Sure, why not. Let's see how sleeping beauty is.” Zacky said, using her childhood nickname.

Brian and Mat chuckled but followed Zacky out of the door. They all got into Matt's car and the drive was tense. Matt gripped the steering wheel a little too tight and made his knuckles white, Brian was messing with the hem of his V-neck and Zacky kept on shifting in his seat in the back.

The three men walked along the corridors of the hospital and they stopped outside Elliot's room.

“Did Hannah say she was coming to day?” Matt asked as he stared at the door.

“After school,” Brian answered while looking at him.

Matt nodded his head and checked the time.

"We have two more hours,”

Zacky and Brian nodded as Matt opened the door.

Elliot just lay there, her body still limp as the day she came in. Machines still hooked on to her. Matt sat on the left hand side where as Brian and Zacky sat on the right.
“We got a song done today, it's called 'Second Heartbeat'. I'd think you'd like it.” Matt told his sister who wasn't corresponding .

Matt stared at her, hoping for a response from her. Matt sighed and looked at the other two. Brian was looking at all the machines while Zacky looked at Elliot's pale face.

“Why do things always end up this way?” Matt asked quietly.

“What do you mean?” Brian asked while looking over at Matt.

“With Elliot always hurt? She's just hurt all of the time.”

“Matt don't think about it that way,” Zacky said.

“It's just so hard not to, you know? It's just that El has been in the hospital a few times now. One that was an accident and she nearly went in hospital when she got
attacked.” Matt sighed as he looked over at Zacky and Brian.

“Matt, just remember that there is a chance that Elliot will wake up.” Brian said as he looked over at Matt.

“But what if she doesn't?”

“Matt, just stop.” Zacky said as he heard a knock at the door.

Matt got up and looked over at the guys. He opened the door and saw Hannah.

“Hannah, I thought you were at school,” Matt said as he looked over the brown haired girl.

“School has just finished,” Hannah said as she looked inside the room.

“Really? We must have lost track of time.” Matt said as he got his jacket and kissed Elliot on the head.

“Hospitals can do that,” Hannah said as she stepped into the hospital room.

“Well just call us if you need anything,” Matt said as he hugged Hannah.

“I will do,” Hannah said as she sat down where Matt was and started to whisper to
Elliot.

“We need to get wasted,” Brian said as he got into Matt's car.

“Hell yeah,” Zacky said while climbing into the back.

Matt just nodded his head and dove to his house. Val and Michelle were in the house when Matt, Brian and Zacky walked in.

“How is she?” Val asked.

“The same,” Matt said as he hugged his long time girlfriend.

“I guess it is her own fault.” Michelle said as Brian kissed her forehead.

“Michelle, don't start this again.” Val warned.

“Again?” Matt asked.

“Yes again, Matthew. I think she should have been looking where she was driving.”

“Honey, I think its best if you go home,” Brian said as his jaw tightened.

“Fine,” Michelle huffed. She grabbed her car keys and slammed the door shut.

“Matt, she's just being a bitch, ignore her.” Val said as she kissed his check.

Matt nodded his head and got out the beers. Brian and Zacky called Jimmy and
Johnny around. Twenty minutes later Jimmy and Johnny came in with Lacey and Leana.

“Let's just forget tonight and get shit-faced!” Matt exclaimed as everyone got a can of beer.
