Elliot’s phone buzzed and she groaned and reached for it.

Today you start your job, otherwise Hannah will be in for a treat.

Elliot looked at her phone and sighed. She shook her head and got dressed. It was her first week back into school whereas it was everyone’s second week back. With what happened with Danny she had to take a week off.

Elliot walked downstairs after doing her make up and looked at Jimmy confused.

“I thought you were living back with your Mom and Dad,” Elliot said as she made her lunch.

“I am, they only kicked me out a few years ago for six months. I’m here to go to the studio with Matt.” Jimmy said as he looked over at Elliot.

Elliot nodded her head and put her lunch in her bag. She quickly said goodbye to everyone in the house and made her way out to her car. Elliot drove to school thinking on how she could start the job that her blackmailer wanted her to do.

How the fuck do I “accidentally” tell Addie that I’ve slept with Jimmy again?

Elliot pulled into the students car lot and sat in her car for a few more moments. She put a fake smile on her face and got out of her car. Instantly she saw Arin and Addie with London and her friends. Elliot rolled her eyes and walked past them.

“Bitch,” she heard London cough.

“Slut,” Elliot said back.

Elliot laughed to herself, London was plying childish games and she was seventeen. Elliot met Hannah near her locker and started to take out her books for the day.

“How was your week?” she asked Hannah.

“Uneventful, you?”

“Other than my Mom and Matt smothering me, it was alright.”

Hannah laughed and told Elliot all of the uneventful things that happened in the past week. Elliot listened and felt her phone buzz a few times.

Brian
Matt said dress nicely tonight because we’re going out, he can’t text you because he’s recording.

Elliot sent a quick okay and looked at her other texts.

You have until Lunch time to text Addison.

Elliot looked up and noticed that Hannah as still talking fast. Elliot put her phone into her pocket and thought of ways on how to text her former best friend. The bell went off and both girls went to their Homerooms.

Elliot sat in her seat and looked for Mr Tander. He wasn’t in the room so Elliot pulled out her phone. She scrolled through her contacts and phone Addie’s name. She sighed and looked up once again. More people were filling the room and Elliot didn’t want to do this later.

I forgot to tell you, Jimmy and I had sex the other week! I mean he has Leana but he came on to me! I think I actually love him!

Elliot sent the message and waited. She saw Mr Tander come in and she looked at her phone every thirty seconds. Her phone buzzed and her breath quickened as she thought of all the possibilities that would happen.

Addie
Check your contacts. And does Leana know?

Elliot sighed, it wasn’t as bad as she thought.

Shit sorry! I thought you was Hannah. And no…she doesn’t please don’t say anything!

Elliot placed her phone back into her pocket. No that job was done she just waited for London and Leana to hear the news.

Later On

Elliot made her way out of school as quickly as she could. Mascara ran down her face. She got into her car and drove as fast as she could home. A red light came on and Elliot couldn’t stop her car in time. Elliot was still driving into the traffic and couldn’t stop.

A truck knocked over her car a few seconds later and Elliot blacked out.

Paramedics rushed to the scene along with the Cops and cut the road off. The ambulances rushed Elliot and the truck driver in to hospital. Matt was called in as Kim and Gary Sanders were out of the state. Brian, Val, Jimmy and Johnny were in the waiting room waiting for a Doctor to tell them the results from Elliot.

Zacky came rushing in with Hannah.

“What happened?” Hannah asked.

“She didn’t stop on a red light.” Matt said while looking at Elliot’s door.

“But she’s gonna be alright, right?” Hannah asked looking as white as a sheet.

“That’s what were waiting for.” Jimmy said while looking at his phone with a frown on his face. “If you just excuse me for a moment.”

Jimmy put his phone to his ear and talked around the corner. Hannah took his seat and was placed next to Val and Brian. Val placed an arm around Hannah and kept a tight grip on Matt’s hand. Brian and Zacky kept on looking in the direction Jimmy went in as they heard his voice boom along the corridor. Johnny went on a coffee run and stopped to look at Elliot’s door.

“Leana, listen I didn’t come on to her, she came on to me! I love you, not a seventeen year old. At the hospital…because Matt needs me…I’ll be back soon and I’ll make it up to you. Love you too, bye.”

Jimmy came around from the corner and saw Zacky and Brian looking at him. Jimmy ignored them and sat on his own. He put his head in his hands and sighed.

“Problems with love?” Brian hissed at Jimmy as him and Zacky moved over to sit next to the tall man.

“What’s it got to do with you?” Jimmy asked.

“Well, it is our best friends seventeen year old sister, and you are playing with her heart.” Zacky said while looking over at Matt.

“Zacky, Brian, I don’t need you telling me al of this! I know, okay?Do you not think that I feel bad for cheating on my girlfriend with a seventeen year old?”

Johnny came back and Brian, Zacky and Jimmy stooped talking. They grabbed their drink and sat in silence for another moment.

“Why did you have sex with her then if you have Leana?” Brian asked quietly.

“That doesn’t matter, does it? Our relationship is ending because of Elliot!”

“Jimmy, Elliot is in hospital again and we don’t know why! How can you blame all of this on her?” Zacky said frantically.

“Because if I didn’t have sex with her I would be on track with Leana and-”

“Are you all here for Elliot Sanders?” a Doctor interrupted Jimmy.

“Yes, we are.” Matt said while standing, holding his hand out. The Dr took it and shook hands with Matt.

“And you must be her brother?”

“Yes, yes I am.”

“For now I only want three people aloud in at a time, due to the condition your sister is in. If I could have a private word?” Matt followed the Dr.

Hannah timidly got up.

“Ca-can we see her now?” Hannah whispered.

“Yes Sweetie, tell Matt that Hannah and I have gone in, alright?” Val told the guys. They all nodded and Hannah walked into the room with Val.

Johnny stood up and sat next to Brian.

“Her car’s pretty fucked,”

“Well she did get hit by a truck, Johnny.” Zacky stated as he took a sip of his coffee.

“I know that, it’s just really fucked.” Johnny said as he saw Matt walk back with tears in his eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Brian asked.

“She’s really hurt. Three people are aloud in because she’s in a coma and they don’t know when she’s getting up. Apparently before they cleaned her up she had mascara down her face. She’s obviously had a bad day.” Matt said as he put his head in his hands.

“Val and Hannah are in there, do you want to go in there?” Johnny asked.

Matt nodded his head and breathed in heavily. He stood up and walked towards the door. He opened the door and saw Hannah crying holding Elliot’s left hand with Val sitting next to
Hannah. Elliot was pale. She had a bandage over her head, with some blood seeping through. Her body as limp and full of machines.

Matt walked over to the right hand side of her and sat on the plastic chair. He gently held
Elliot’s other hand and felt how cold she was.

“What did the Doc say?” Val asked over the beeping of machines.

“She’s in a coma, not sure why she drove through a red light but she had a bad day. Mascara down her checks.”

Val nodded and held Hannah’s other hand. Matt stood up and kissed his sisters check. He then kissed Val’s head and patted Hannah’s shoulder. He got up and out of the room and saw the other four in a heated conversation. He walked up to Brian and they all stopped.

“Can I have a cig? I left mine at home.”

“I thought you quit?” Brian said while handing him his pack.

“Nope, should do but not yet.” Matt said.

Brian nodded and watched Matt walk down the corridor.

“I’m going in seeing Elliot,” Jimmy said.

“Then what? You’re going to go home and fuck Leana? How can you do that Jimmy?” Brian said as he looked over at Jimmy.

“Easy, she’s not my girlfriend.”

Brian scoffed and ignored the rest while looking at the door, hoping that Elliot would be okay soon.
