Fire Inside

I was informed that the guys were having a show tonight and that I’d be standing next to the stage, I was so excited, I've never gotten to see them in concert before so I was definitely going to get all decked out. I put on my black fake leather pants, a black tank top and my black combat boots. I did my makeup which was black eyeliner all around my eyes with mascara, I left my hair down and parted on the right then made sure I had my phone and everything I might need. I walked back to the front and saw that the guys were back from sound check and getting some food before the show.

I was too excited to eat so I just drank some water and waited with them ‘alright guys, time to go’ John said and I just about ran out of the bus but my dad stopped me for a minute ‘now I want you to stay close to me, fans can get a little crazy when they see us walk off the bus’ he said and I nodded then grabbed his arm when he offered it to me, we walked off the bus and all I heard were screaming fans, the guys were nice and waved to them but we still walked a little faster to go in the back entrance so the guys could get ready and the fans could come in and get to their spots.

I was watching excitedly from the side of the stage as the guys preformed songs from The Sickness and Believe albums ‘alright guys, for our last song I'm bringing out someone you all need to meet’ I heard dad say and I got confused ‘my baby girl, Devin’ he said then looked at me, I rolled my eyes then went out on stage and stood next to him. I got cheers, cat calls and whistles ‘hey now, that’s my daughter’ he said and I just laughed a little ‘sing with me?’ he asked after putting the mic down to his side, I nodded and he smiled then went to get me a mic ‘what are we doing?’ ‘meaning of life’ ‘oh joy’ I giggled and he just smirked at me as the music started and he started singing first, he sang the chorus and first verse then I joined him for the rest of the song.

We would walk back and forth on stage then sing to each other, then repeat. When the song ended everyone was cheering and fist pumping, I smiled and looked over at dad to find him clapping for me ‘thank you guys, good night!’ he said into the mic, we all waved then walked off stage and I jumped on dad’s back ‘oof, hey now’ he chuckled as he hooked my legs and stood up straight ‘that was amazing!’ ‘I'm glad you liked it, would you like to sing a song with me every night?’ ‘Oh my god yes!’ ‘Alright then, now get off’ he said and I jumped off his back then started running around the halls to try and get my energy out.

‘Devin! We have to go!’ I heard after 10 minutes of my getting all my energy out, I nodded and walked with them out to the bus. They signed some things for a few people then we all piled back on the bus and left. ‘Ok not our next show but the one after is when we’re meeting up with Avenged right?’ John asked and my dad nodded, ‘I'm going to go lay down in the back room’ I said after a few minutes ‘You ok?’ ‘Yeah just tired’ ‘alright’ dad said and I smiled then hugged everyone and walked to the back to change and get my sketch book and pencils, I walked into the back room and pulled out my phone. I looked up a picture of M. Shadows then started to draw it which I got caught up in immediately and didn’t notice someone watching me while I drew.
