So it’s been a few months since Abby’s been here and I love having her around, she’s so amazing and she’s actually talking a lot more. I've put her in school and she says she likes it but some days she’ll just go up to her room and not come down for a while, I'm guessing those days were her bad ones. I've been teaching her how to drive and she’s really good at it, hasn’t freaked out or anything yet so she’s also taking drivers ed after school, she has that for about a month then she has to drive three times with her teacher then she can go for her license, she got her permit last month so I don’t have to worry about that.

Right now I was waiting for Abby outside of the school, I was leaning against the car with my arms crossed and my sunglasses on. I heard the bell ring then I saw her a few minutes later, she had her backpack on and was hugging her book of the week she was reading to her chest, she loves reading, she’s already gone through about 5 books within the month.

She walked out the doors and looked around for me, when she saw me her face lit up and she smiled at me, I smiled back and she walked over to me ‘you wanna drive home?’ I asked and she nodded then set her stuff in the back seat, I handed her the keys and we got in. ‘ok, go ahead’ I said and she nodded, turned on the car and took off. We arrived home safely and I smiled over at her ‘I love you’ I whispered and she looked over at me with a smile ‘I love you to daddy’ ‘you better’ I laughed and she giggled as we got out of the car, she grabbed her stuff from the back then locked the car and handed me the keys, I unlocked the house and we went into the living room.

‘do you have homework?’ ‘a little but I already did it’ ‘really?’ ‘yeah at lunch’ ‘did you eat your lunch?’ ‘well….’ ‘baby, you need to remember to eat lunch’ ‘I know I know’ she said and sat next to me on the couch, she cuddled into me and I wrapped my arm around her. ‘your birthday’s coming up’ I said and she nodded ‘I know’ she whispered and I looked down at her ‘what's wrong?’ ‘nothing, I just never had a proper birthday I guess’ she said as she sat up to look at me, I looked over at her and set my hand on her knee ‘well, you’ll have a great birthday this year’ I said and she nodded then leaned back on me.

‘what would you like for your birthday?’ ‘I dunno, I don’t really need anything’ she said and I nodded and pulled her closer to me. ‘so, do you wanna go to school tomorrow or do you wanna come with me to the studio?’ I asked and she sighed softly and looked up at me ‘I have a test tomorrow’ she pouted and I laughed a little, she didn’t like missing things at school like tests or presentations.

She hasn’t been absent at all yet and she hasn’t asked me to pick her up early or anything ‘ok then, how about we go out to dinner tomorrow night, just us’ I said and she nodded happily, I smiled and kissed her forehead softly ‘I love you daddy’ she whispered and I looked down at her ‘I love you to baby girl’ ‘you wanna watch a movie with me?’ ‘of course’ I smiled and she nodded then went to go pick one out. I ordered us some pizza then walked upstairs to see what was keeping Abby

‘Abby?’ I called out and she called back from the movie room ‘I can’t decide’ she whined and I chuckled and walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders from behind ‘what about Atlantis?’ ‘oh yeah!’ she said happily and I laughed again then reached up to get it for her, we walked back down the steps and right as we walked in the doorbell rang and I went to go pay for the pizza and the drinks. I walked back into the living room and set everything on the coffee table

‘I need to start cooking for you’ she laughed and I rose an eyebrow at her ‘this is the fourth time this month we’ve gotten pizza’ she said and I walked over to her and sat next to her ‘what’s wrong with pizza?’ ‘nothing, but I think would should spend money on actual food that I can cook and not pizza or eating out every other day’ she said and I looked over at her ‘what?’ ‘nothing, you're just smarter than your years’ I said and she blushed a little ‘sorry’ ‘no baby don’t be sorry, you're right, I need to listen to you more’ I said and she smiled then started the movie and started eating her pizza.

::Abby’s POV::

“I know you can fucking hear me bitch, I'm gonna fuck you just like your brother then I'm gonna kill you and put where you can’t be found! Come out, come out wherever you are” he yelled but I kept running, I was weaving in and out of the trees so he couldn’t catch up to me. When I heard him getting a little closer I ran faster and faster even when my legs started to hurt “come here!” he screamed and I wasn’t paying attention as I ran right into the middle of the road. Horns honked and tired squealed but that’s all I remember.

I sat up straight in bed as sweat rolled down my forehead and my breathing was heavy and loud, I looked around but found that I was just in my bedroom and it was just a nightmare. I slowed my breathing then went to my bathroom and splashed some water on my face, when I looked in the mirror I sighed and touched my face a little, my eyes were really tired and I had some bags under them. I sighed again and walked out of my bathroom and room and walked over to my daddy’s room, I pressed my ear to the door and I could still here the tv on in the background so I knocked softly ‘come in’ he said and I opened the door slowly and looked over at him ‘baby, why aren't you asleep?’

‘I had another nightmare’ I whispered and he nodded then moved over in bed so I could come lay with him. I crawled in and cuddled into his chest, he wrapped his arms around me and held me tight after shutting the tv off ‘it’s ok baby girl, I’ll never let anything happen to you’ he whispered and I nodded then cuddled closer into him, taking in his scent that I loved ‘I love you daddy’ ‘I love you to baby girl, now try going back to sleep ok?’ ‘alright’ I yawned and he laughed a little then pulled the blanket over the both of us more and wrapped his arm around my waist as I moved to lay on my side. I fell asleep after a few minutes and I heard him whisper something to me right before I passed out but I couldn’t make it out.

When I woke up the next morning I looked over at the clock and saw that it was 7:00 and school started at 8:00 and it took a good 25-30 minutes to get there without traffic ‘fuck!’ I yelled and hopped outta bed and ran over to my room. I pulled on black pants and a black tank throwing a black zip up over it, I skipped the makeup and pulled my hair up into a messy bun then I pulled on my shoes and ran back over to my dad’s room ‘daddy! Wake up!’ I yelled as I shook him, he groaned and rolled over ‘daddy! I'm gonna be late! I have a test!’ I yelled again shaking him more ‘ok ok I'm up’ he said and I pulled on his arm ‘it’s already 7:15’ I whined and he stood up and pulled on his jeans and shoes that were on the floor, grabbed his keys, wallet and phone and we both ran down the steps where I grabbed my bag off the floor and then we ran out of the house and to the car.

‘do you have your phone?’ ‘damn it!’ I said loudly and he chuckled at me a little ‘don’t laugh at me, this test counts for half my grade’ I said and he stopped laughing and looked over at me ‘are you serious?’ ‘yes, now please get me to school’ I begged and he nodded and sped the rest of the way there, when we got there it was about 7:55 so I kissed his cheek and then ran inside and right to my classroom, I sat in my seat right as the bell rang. ‘thank god’ I whispered as I caught my breath, my teacher walked in a few minutes later and shut the door ‘ok, you guys know that this test counts for basically half your grade so do well and don’t panic’ he said and we all laughed a little as he passed out the tests. I was last so I took a deep breath and wrote my name down then started working. The test was about three pages front and back but thank god it was all multiple choice, I took my time because I knew this was really important so I worked up until five minutes before the bell rang.

‘ok, times up. Please pass your tests forward’ Mr. James said, I passed mine to the girl in front of me then grabbed my bag and threw my pencil in there and waited, the bell rang and we all stood up and started to file out ‘Ms. Haner, wait a minute’ he said so I waited until the rest of the class was out of the room, he didn’t have a class after this so I didn’t have to worry about anyone overhearing whatever he was going to say, I'm hoping it’s good news though.

‘Ms. Haner, do you know how you're doing in my class?’ he asked as he stood up and sat on the end of his desk to look at me, I just kind of stood there for a bit ‘well, I hope I'm doing good’ I said softly and he sighed then stood up and walked over to me, I stayed still and waited ‘you're doing a little below a C and you need a B to pass my class’ ‘why am I below a C?’ ‘some of your tests were bad and you don’t like to work in groups’ he said as he set his hand on my shoulder,

I shifted a little uncomfortably and he took his hand back then sat back on his desk ‘well, how am I supposed to make it up? I need this class’ I said softly again and he smiled at me ‘well, I have a few suggestions’ he said again as he stood and walked back over to me. He put his hand on my face and I backed away ‘I don’t think so’ I said and he just smirked then pinned me against the wall ‘don’t you wanna pass this class?’ he asked as he ran his hand up and under my hoddie and tank top

‘get the fuck off me’ I said and he chuckled then slammed me back into the wall ‘I'm gonna rape you and you can’t do anything about it’ he whispered darkly, I whimpered then kicked him in the balls and ran out of the room and to the nurses office. ‘can I use your phone please?’ I asked and she nodded and slid it over to me, I picked it up and dialed my dad’s number.

‘hello?’ ‘daddy?’ I sniffled and I heard him shifting around a little ‘baby, what's wrong?’ ‘can you come get me?’ ‘I'm at the studio baby, what happened?’ ‘please come get me’ I whispered as I started to cry harder ‘ok baby calm down, I’ll be there in like 20 minutes ok?’ ‘ok daddy’ I whispered and then hung up and looked at the nurse ‘you can go sit out front there if you’d like’ she said gently and I nodded then walked to the front room and sat at the little table she had.

I don’t know how long I was waiting but I heard my dad’s voice as he walked into the school so I picked up my bag right as he walked in and he rushed over to me and hugged me ‘what happened baby? Are you ok?’ he whispered and I shook my head, I noticed he had my uncles with him and they all looked worried ‘tell me what happened’ he whispered in my ear, I nodded and leaned up to whisper in his ear what happened

‘Johnny, take Abby to the office, sign her out and go wait in the car’ he said and uncle Johnny nodded and wrapped his arm around my shoulders then took me to the office and signed me out. We walked over to uncle Matt’s big black suburban and got into the back ‘what happened?’ uncle Johnny whispered as I leaned against him ‘my teacher touched me and said he was gonna rape me’ I whispered through my heavy tears ‘god, I'm sorry baby’ he whispered and I nodded then cuddled closer into his side.

::Syn’s POV::

Once Abby and Johnny were out of ear shot I whispered what happened to the guys and we were all pissed so we did the only thing that came to mind. We walked down to the teachers room and saw him sitting at his desk looking at papers ‘hey, fucker’ Matt yelled and the guy looked over at us and went completely pale, didn’t help that Matt was wearing something to show off his huge arms ‘um, c-can I help you with something?’

‘yeah, I’d like to know what gave you the right to fucking touch my daughter!’ I yelled then went after him, he stood up and tried getting away but he wasn’t fast enough. First I punched him in the face, then the ribs and kept going until he was on the ground and then everyone else joined in with kicking and punching him ‘alright, enough’ I said and they stopped and backed away, I bent down to him and lifted his head up ‘if you ever so much as look at my daughter again, I will kill you’ I whispered harshly and he nodded, I hit him one more time then stood up and we walked back out to the car after I got drop out papers for Abby.

When we got in the car, I got in the back with Abby and pulled her onto my lap and into my arms ‘shhhh, I'm sorry baby girl, you don’t have to see him again ok?’ I whispered and she nodded then nuzzled her face into my neck ‘come on, let’s go back to the studio before the cops get called’ I said and Matt nodded then peeled out and we rushed back to the studio

‘is there somewhere I can lay down?’ Abby whispered and I nodded then walked her over to our mixing room where there was a few couches, she laid down on one and I kneeled next to her ‘we won’t be much longer ok? We’ve almost got these next few songs finished then we can go home’ I whispered as I pushed some hair behind her ear, she nodded and looked at me with those big gray eyes that I've come to love so much ‘I love you daddy’ she whispered and I smiled then kissed her nose ‘I love you to baby girl’ I whispered back then walked into the other room and let her rest.
