Lost

I pull up to the house listed on the slip of paper and get out with a sigh. I'm hoping this is the right house and if it is, I hope my parents accept me.

“Just go home, Johnny. Jesus Christ.”
“You guys are all assholes.”
“Screw off.”

I look and see a short blonde kid storming down the driveway and get on a bike before riding away. The taller boy who yelled at the blonde kid looks right at me.

“Can I help you?” His tone softens a bit.
“I uh...”

He comes over to me and my heart nearly stops. He's got hazel green eyes just as I do and the same dimply smile.

“Are you Matt?”
“Yes that'd be me. And you are?”

I open my mouth to speak, but only tears start pouring from my eyes.

“Whoa are you okay?”
“Matt Sanders?”
“Yes that's my name.”

I look up at him and take a deep breath.

“My name's Becca. I-I...”

He just looks at me when suddenly his eyes widen and he cups my face in his hands.

“Jesus Christ you're alive.”

I look up at him and he just yells.

“MOM! MOM GET OUT HERE!”

A woman comes running out of the house and over to us. I look at her and my heart drops. That's my mother. Oh she's so beautiful.

“What's going on, sweetie? Are you alright? Who's this?”

Matt moves aside and stands next to me, giving our mother a look. She just looks from Matt to me then back to Matt.

“Honey I don't see wh--” suddenly realization washes over her and she steps towards me, putting her hand on my face.

“Becca?”
“Mom?” I sob.
“Oh my God you're alive!”

She pulls me into the tightest hug ever and lets out a sob.

“I thought you were dead! You were supposed to die months after being born!”
“My adopted parents told me that my body fought off whatever medical condition I had. They say I'm a miracle baby.”
“Oh my baby! Come inside.”

She pulls back and gives me a smile before leading me inside. Matt follows and closes the door behind us.

“How long have you been out here?”
“I just flew in today. I checked in at a hotel not too far from here.”
“How did you even find us?” Matt asked me, smiling.
“I went to the hospital and asked if they kept records of births. Not that I needed one because apparently the lady I talked to was the nurse who helped delivered us. When I told her when I was born and who I am, she nearly had a fit,” I laugh.
“Well, I'm glad you found us. I grew up thinking you were dead.”
“I'm glad I'm not.”
“Me too,” he smiles.

I smile back and then mom excuses herself for a moment.

“Wanna go meet my friends? They're all downstairs waiting for me.”
“Sure.”

He smiles and leads me downstairs. It's like a game room. There are band posters on the walls and a giant flat screen against one wall. His friends are currently using it to play video games. He leads me over to his friends and they look up at us.

“Whoa who's the hot chick?” A kid with wild blonde hair asks.
“It's my sister.”
“You don't have a sister. Your sister died when you we--”
“She lived, Jimmy.”

The Jimmy kid examines me and I turn red. He gets up from the couch and practically sticks his face in mine.

“Dude there's such thing as a personal bubble.”

Matt lightly pushes him back and Jimmy rolls his eyes.

“I was just seeing if she has the same eye color and facial features as you.”
“And?”

Hey I apologize for such slow updates. Being depressed pretty much takes away any motivation I may have. I'll try my hardest to update soon. I'm running out of prewritten chapters so I'll have to start writing more again. If you just bare with me that'll be great.
