Nothing lasts forever

It's official. Brian's gone off the deep end. For the past hour, he and Arin have been trying to convince us that Jimmy came to them last night. Apparently, Jimmy went to go see Jacqueline then Brian. After that Brian and Jimmy went back to Jacqueline's and he, Jimmy, Arin and Jacqueline all ate cookies and watched shitty movies until they passed out. Do you know how sad it is to see somebody convince himself that their life-long best friend is back from the dead? It's fucking heart wrenching.

"Guys I'm not lying!" Brian screamed for the hundrenth time.

"Brian have you gone insane? Jimmy is gone ok? He didn't come back and he never will! Get that through your fucking head!" Matt shouted in his face. His voice was cracking and his eyes were pooling.

"Brian isn't crazy Matt. I saw him too and so did Jacqueline. In fact, she's on her way here with Jimmy." Arin said from behind Brian.

"That's impossible. You guys must've been high or something."

"I'll call Jacqueline right now and prove it to you." Arin pulled out his phone and dialed Jacqueline's number.

We all watched in silence as Arin waited for my sister to pick up. When she finally did confusion crossed Arin's face.

"Who is this? Where's Jacqueline?" He said into the phone. "Wait what? What happened?"

Suddenly, Arin's eyes grew wide and his mouth parted slightly. He let his phone slip through his fingers and it hit the ground with a loud crack. The screen of his phone was smashed but it didn't phase him. Instead he grabbed his keys and my arm.

"Go to Huntington hospital now." Was all he said before yanking me out the door and into his car. He turned the key in the ignition and practically flew out of the parking lot. He zipped down the street at a barely legal speed.

"Before I tell you what happened, you can't freak out." I nodded slowly, anxious to what he had to say. "After I called your sister. Some dude picked it up and adressed himself as 'one the officers on the scene'. When I asked him what happened, he said that there was an accident and that they're transferring her to the hospital. That's all I heard before I broke my phone."

"What?" I squeaked. An accident? Oh my god... I can only imagine what happened to my babysister.

Arin's POV*

I could barely contain my thoughts right now. We pulled into the parking lot and me and Johnny practically sprinted into the hospital lobby.

"We're here....for....Jacqueline Seward." I panted, unable to breathe.

"She's just been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. Right now she's being put through an emergency surgery so you'll have to wait before we have any more information on her condition. All I know as of right now is that she isn't doing to well." The frail nurse spoke to us in a calm tone. Me and Johnny on the other hand, practically died as she said to us.

I nodded solemnly and turned to the waiting room. I saw Jimmy sitting in one of the chairs with his knees pulled to his chest and his head against the wall, crying quietly. I guess Johnny saw him too because he sat there speechless while staring in his direction. I ran over to him and sat in the chair next to his.

"Jimmy! What happened?!" I asked frantically.

"It was horrible Arin... just... just horrible." He spoke his a shaky voice.

Johnny stalked over to us slowly and stopped in front of Jimmy. "Jimmy?"

Jimmy snapped his head up towards him and sighed heavily. "Johnny I'm so sorry. This is all my fault."

"No it's not Jimmy. Just tell us what happened." I reassured.

Before he could speak, the rest of the guys burst through the front door. Brian noticed us and immediately ran to us. Matt and Zacky though, were stunned at the sight of Jimmy. They walked over to us slowly.

"Am I seeing things?" Zack asked.

"My god." Matt breathed.

"Yes guys it's me. Yes I'm here. Can you calm down for 5 seconds so I can tell you what happened to Jacqueline please? Thanks." Jimmy said.

"So what happened."

"Me and Jacqueline were watching Spongebob when Brian and Arin said we needed to leave for the studio. Jacqueline told them to go without us and we'd meet them there. After a couple more episodes we decided we should leave and we got in the car and left. Then she turned on the radio. So Far Away came on and I couldn't even think. I just stared at radio and I guess she must've been watching me cuz we heard a loud ass truck horn and.....we had a head-on collision with an eighteen wheeler. I kept calling her name but she wouldn't answer. She wasn't even breathing."

I felt my heart drop to my stomach. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not even an hour ago, I was with Jacqueline. And now, she's in the ICU going through emergency surgery. I can still feel her lips on mine. And I may not even get to kiss her again.

"Arin? You okay bro?" I heard somebody ask.

I completely ignored them and kept staring at the wall. She wasn't breathing. This can't be true. It has to be a dream. Or would it be a nightmare. Jacqueline can't die because one, she's too young. Two, these boys can't lose another best friend. And three, I can't lose her. I knew the moment I laid eyes on her that I needed to have her. Not just sexually but emotionally. She was so beautiful amd caring. Her smile literally lights up the room. Everytime I think of her my mood instantly changes. Jacqueline is so unique and we can't lose her to a fucking car crash. If she lives through this, I swear on my life, I'll never let anything hurt her. I'll protect her with all my heart and never let her be put in harm's way ever again.

Sorry for the crappy chapter guys... I had a better chapter written but my computer crashed and I lost it. I had to get something up so please don't hate me for this filler.
