*~*Kamalei’s POV*~*

I brushed it off as if it was nothing, but I know it wasn’t. I enjoyed pretending we were a couple. The look in his bright green eyes as he got closer to me was much more than just playing pretend. He was practically begging me to kiss him… I have to admit that the picture was a ploy to make this memory of Zacky and I last. I wanted him to be mine and I know that when we get to California, things will change. He will go off and find some other much prettier girl to be his girlfriend. At least I have these pictures as memories…

“Lei, come on. Let’s get you in first.” Zacky said, shaking me from my thoughts as he helped me into the backseat of the truck.

He started to close the door and walk off before I stopped him, “Zee, wait. Will you sit back here with me?”

“Jimmy will sit with you.” Matt chimed in sternly as he came up behind Zacky.

I faked a smile at my brother, knowing that he was tremendously uncomfortable with me lying in Zacky’s lap again. Zacky’s face dropped and I could see his disappointment in Matt’s words. He knew, as did I, that Matt wasn’t going to budge on this one. Not after what we did last time. Zacky walked to the back of the truck and reluctantly climbed in, looking thru the back window with sad eyes as he sat down.

Jimmy climbed in next to me, “Hey my little Lei-Lei!”

“Hey Jimmy. Can I lie down on you?” I asked him, trying to prove to my brother that it wasn’t just Zacky I would do this to.

“Sure little love. Let me make it more comfy for you.” He said as he grabbed his sweatshirt off his back and balled it up on his lap for me to lie on.

I looked out the back window and saw Zacky looking at me. He looked sad as he took his IPod out of his pocket and turned it on. I smiled as I waved to him in an attempt to cheer him up a little, but I only received a small wave back, void of any hint of a smile.

Not knowing what else to do to remedy the situation, I decided to just sleep more and hope that it will all work itself out on the way to my mother’s house. I laid down on Jimmy’s lap and listened to him sing me a song he made up as we rode.

His jet black hair wavered into his face as the cool summer breeze blew. He reached a tattooed hand up and brushed it to the side, revealing his light emerald eyes, before reaching out to me, taking my hand and interlocking our fingers as we walked.

The beach was practically deserted, only a handful of people far off in the distance from where we were. The sun was low, just getting ready to set behind the horizon, illuminating the soft waves crashing onto the shore.

I glanced over to catch him staring at me, “Why are you staring at me? Do I have something on my face?” I asked.

“No. Can’t I just admire how beautiful you are Kamalei?” he replied stopping and brushing a strand of my windswept hair from my face, tucking it behind my ear.

“Zacky, stop it. I’m nothing special.” I answered, feeling my face heat.

“Kamalei, don’t you see? You are something special. You’re special to me.” He said leaning in, looking deep into my eyes, with a hint of lust hidden in his.

He closed the gap between our lips in the next instant, kissing me softly but passionately. Letting go of my hand, he placed his hand in the small of my back, pulling me up against him. My arms came up and I wrapped them around his neck, tangling my fingers into his black hair as his hands wandered up and down the sides of my body. His tongue licked at my bottom lip, asking for permission, which I gave him without hesitation. I pulled lightly at his hair as our tongues danced in each other’s mouths, in return he let out a low, deep throated growl. His kisses became deeper and full of desire as he let his hands trail down to my ass, grabbing it with need. I bit down on his lip, trapping one of his piercings in my mouth and pulling it slowly and seductively, while looking deep into his eyes with my own lust.

“Let’s go inside.” He said, breaking apart for an instant.

He grabbed my hand and practically ran back up to the house, throwing the back yard gate open before spinning around and kissing me again. Pulling me to him again, he walked backwards towards the hot tub, yanking off his t-shirt and exposing his tattooed chest. I stopped him from kissing me again as I inspected his muscular tattooed upper body, trailing my fingers across his chest and arms.

“Come here.” He growled at me, pulling my shirt off over my head.

He undid my shorts, letting them pool at my feet as he undid his shorts as well, his erection finally released from the confines of his shorts, only held back by his boxers. He pulled me to him again, kissing along my neck finding my spot just below my ear.

“Mmm… Zack…” I moaned as he trailed my spot with his pierced lips and soft tongue.

“Come on let’s get in.” he said pulling me with him into the hot tub.

I straddled him as he sat in the bubbling water, resuming his kisses to my neck and down my chest. Reaching behind me, he unclasped my bra with one hand, immediately beginning his assault on my breasts with his mouth. I grabbed the back of his hair and pulled him away teasingly.

“Lei, please don’t tease me.” He whispered as I grinded my hips on his.

His hands made their way to my hips, pulling at my panties until I slid off of him to get them off. I stood in front of him and watched his eyes travel my body, full of desire and lust as he slid out of his boxers, tossing them to the ground.

“Lei, you’re so beautiful.” He said.

He reached out and pulled me back to his lap. I moved my legs on either side of him as I slowly lowered myself onto his length. He groaned deeply at my tightness. I had no idea he was so big and it took me a few moments to get used to his size.

“You okay?” He asked and I nodded yes.

His hands made their way back to my hips, gently guiding me on his hard cock. He led me slowly as our mouths met again, this time with kisses full of hunger and need. One hand on the edge of the hot tub and one in his raven hair, tangled and tugging, I took control of the rhythm and pace.

“Yeah… it was just… intense.” I said nodding my head as I rubbed my eyes.

Zacky had walked over to the side and I averted his eyes, looking down. I pushed past Jimmy and Zacky and made my way to the house.

How can I fucking even look at him now after that damn dream? Oh my God that was so crazy. All in my dreams though…

I blew right past my mother and into the bathroom, locking the door behind me.

“Kamalei? Are you alright?” I heard my mom say from the other side of the door.

“Yes mom. I’m fine.” I brush her off as I look in the mirror.

I turned on the water and splashed some water on my face, trying to pull myself together. Shaking my head, I looked back at my reflection, hearing everyone come in the house and thinking how I could avoid Zacky for a little bit longer until I could get the dream out of my head more.

“Jimmy, what’s with Lei? She wouldn’t even look at me. Did she say anything to you?” I heard Zacky ask, not realizing that I was in the bathroom just inside of where they were talking.

“No. I don’t know bro. She only said she had an intense dream.” Jimmy replied.

I decided now was good, and I ripped the door open, scaring the both of them, “Hey boys.”

“HOLY SHIT! You scared the shit out of me!” Jimmy yelled, throwing Zacky in the way.

“Wow. You really just threw me in the line of fire?!” Zacky said dramatically.

“Better you than me.” Jimmy smirked as he walked away to the living room to join the others.

“Are you mad at me?” Zacky asked putting his head down.

“No. Just had a crazy dream… sorry, I didn’t mean to make you think anything’s wrong.” I apologized to him.

“Kamalei, come in here.” My mother called from the kitchen.

“Hang on.” I called back to her as I reached out and hugged Zacky, “I’m sorry Zee.”

“It’s okay. I’m glad you aren’t mad at me or something.” He said as I pulled away.

I gave him a kiss on the cheek before making my way into the kitchen to meet my mother. Matt and Val were there with her sitting at the table. I pulled out one of the chairs taking a seat.

“What’s up mama?”

“How are you feeling? Matthew just told me what happened with Micah. Let me see your body. Take that sweatshirt off.” She demanded.

“I’m fine mama. It’s just more of what I had already. I’ll be fine…” I said as I took off Zacky’s sweatshirt.

My mother clamped her hands over her mouth to keep from letting out a scream, “Oh my God! Kamalei!”

She reached out and lightly touched my neck which I stretched out for her to inspect. She turned my head from side to side as she looked at the dark marks on my throat. Her reaction had drawn Zacky into the kitchen and I glanced over to him and saw anger flash across his face as he saw the bruises in the full daylight.

“Lift it up.” She said to me as I lifted my shirt to show her more.

I ignored the pain as I twisted slightly to look at more of the damage Micah caused. The tape on my ribs that were previously broken was peeling off, and there was now a new black and purple mark below them. She reached out to touch it and I smacked her hand away.

“Don’t mama. It hurts. Please don’t.” I begged her.

“My sweet child… this is horrible. It’s definitely broken, at least one or two of them.” She said as she shook her head.

“I know. It’s okay. Micah has a broken face and probably more than that… He probably needs new boxers too after what you did Zee…” I said directing over to him as I put my shirt back down.

“What did you do Zachary?” Mama asked him.

“I was going to make him pay with his life. I settled with breaking his face with a baseball bat though…” he said smugly.

“What do you mean pay with his life?” Mama questioned.

“He was going to blow his brains all over the kitchen with a gun until we stopped him.” Matt answered.

“Zachary! The sweet one? No…” Mama said in disbelief.

“Yes mama. Zacky.” I told her, “He saved me though mama. They all did.”

I put an arm around the both of them, smiling as Mama looked at us. The rest of the group came into the kitchen to see what was going on.

“Well, at least I know you are in the right hands. You boys are to take care of my girls. Matthew, you are responsible for keeping these girls happy. Val included. She’s a sweetheart and you better not fuck that up.” She said coming over and hugging Matt.

“Yes Mama. We’ll call you every week, even when we are on the road. I promise.” Matt replied.

“Brian, you silly boy come here. You better take care of my Kelly. I love her as my own and I won’t stand to have her upset. You understand me?” Mama told him as he nodded before she hugged him tightly.

“Johnny, you may be the shortest, but that means you just have more to prove. Don’t let them get on you too much alright?”

“Alright, Mama. Thank you for everything. It was so great to meet you… you’ll have to come and see us.” He smiled as she squeezed him.

“Jimmy, you tall goofball boy trapped in a man size body. You have such a big heart and so much love to give. I can see that in the way you care for my daughter as if she was your own sister. Please watch out for her too. Matt can’t watch her all the time. I trust you with her and Kelly as well.”

“Of course Mama. I love them and I love you too. I won’t let anything happen to them. I promise Mama.” He said kissing her cheek as she pulled away from their hug.

Tears were already streaming down my face as I knew that my time with her was coming to an end for a long time. As much crap as I gave the woman, she was still my mother and I loved her dearly. She was now turning me over to 5 men she barely knew, but she trusted them. For the first time in my life, I let myself trust her instincts.

“Valary, you sweetheart. I don’t know how to thank you for taking on my daughter. Her OR Matthew give you any problems, you let Mama know.” She scolded shaking her finger at my brother and I, “I know my daughter pretty well and I believe she will behave because she loves you and Matthew so much. Thank you again for giving her a home until she can find one for herself. You make sure you take care of you sweetie. Don’t let all these boys make you think you are their mother… Hopefully Kelly and Kamalei will help relieve you of all the testosterone.”

“I hope so. I’m so excited to have the girls come home with us. I think this is going to be great for all of us. A fresh start for the two of them. I’ll definitely be giving you a call when Matt acts up…” Val laughed.

I looked over at Kelly and she was in tears as well. My mother was a second mother to her and she got along much better with my mom then I ever did. I knew she loved my mother as if she was her own and for her to not be around was going to be hard for the both of us.

My mother held her arms out to Kelly as she rushed into them, embracing her tightly, “Oh Kelly… my sweet sweet Kelly… my other daughter, I’m going to miss you so much.” She pulled away holding her out at arm’s length looking into her eyes, “You and Kamalei have been best friends since I can remember, always looking out for each other. Please don’t let the big cities change that. You two are like sisters and I want it to stay like that after I’m dead and gone. Please take care of yourself, and Brian had better take good care of you. I love you Kelly and please call me often to check in.”

She wiped the tears from her eyes, as did Kelly before they hugged again.

“I will Mama. I promise. I love you too. I’ll watch out for Kamalei too. We are sisters and we’ll always have each other.” Kelly choked out thru her tears.

Mama pulled away and wiped her face again on a dish rag. She looked at all of us before walking over to Zacky. She stood in front of him smiling for a moment before pulling him to her chest, squeezing him. Everyone except for me left the kitchen, Kelly making her way to the bathroom to fix her running make up.

“Mama, thank you for everything. All the advice and help you gave me helped me so much. How can I ever repay you for your kindness Mama?” Zacky said as he hugged on to her.

“Zachary, you sweet, sweet boy. Do you remember what I told you at the hospital?” she waited as he nodded, “That’s all I can ask of you. Please just do that for me. Kamalei, can you go find my phone?” she said shooing me out of the kitchen.

I, of course, didn’t listen and walked just outside of the kitchen and out of her sight. I waited for her to continue.

“Zachary, I remember the day I met you at the hospital and you just cried and cried for her. You were so sad you didn’t even want to eat and I had to force you. You stayed by her side every day as long as they would let you, even when everyone else went to do other things. I’m no fool Zachary and I know you care deeply for my daughter; I can see it in your big green eyes. I can tell that she cares for you a lot as well. She wouldn’t have risked talking with you while Micah was around if she didn’t care about you. I pray that one day she will see how much loyalty you have to her. I know that you would treat my daughter with much more respect than Micah ever did. Please Zachary, take care of her. She is all I have left in this world…” My mother broke down sobbing at this point.

“I promise Mama. I will take care of her with all my heart…” he started as I went to go find her phone.

I returned with the phone, catching just the end of what Zacky was saying to her.

“I won’t ever let anyone hurt her again. I love you too… I’m going to miss you.” He said hugging her again.

“Mama. I have your phone.” I said holding back tears myself, handing the phone to her.

She broke away from Zacky and just blinked her large tears from her eyes. She held me in her arms before clasping onto me, hurting my ribs, but I wasn’t about to complain. This was the last time I would see my mother for a long time. Zacky stood there wiping his face where there were a few tears streaking down his cheeks.

“My baby. My precious baby. My Kamalei Mili Kealoha-Sanders. My beloved child. I am going to miss you so much… Please promise me you will call me every week. I need to hear from you and know you are well. Please if those ribs don’t heal you have Zachary or Matthew take you to the doctor. Please take care of yourself my child. You are all I have left in this world. I love you more than anything else in this world. Please baby, please stay safe and listen to your brother. Please look after these boys as they have looked after you. Please behave yourself in Matthew and Valary’s home. I will miss you so much… I love you Kamalei. I love you so much…” She cried on my shoulder.

I cried back, not able to stop the tears, “Mama I love you too. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for everything. You deserved someone better to be your child and I let you down all these years. I’m sorry Mama. I love you. I’m going to miss you so much… I promise I’ll call you every week from the tour bus. I promise I’ll be good for Matt and Val. I promise I’ll take care of all the guys because they took care of me. Mama, please promise me you’ll come and visit us in California too. I can’t be away from you for that long. Mommy, I love you…”

She pulled away looking into my eyes, softly wiping my tears with her fingers, “I love you too baby. Don’t cry anymore. You know you always can come home right? It’s not like when I left, you will always be welcome back home. I just think it’s best for you to go for now, for your safety. I love you my beloved child.”

She kissed the top of my head, a few more tears falling from her eyes.

I turned to Zacky who was standing there with more tears brimming in his eyes, “Come on Lei… we should get going. We have to go back to the hotel and get the rest of our stuff…”

“Okay… yeah.” I said sadly putting my head down, walking towards him.

He put an arm around my shoulders as we walked out into the living room with everyone else. They all looked at me with sad eyes, knowing this was hard for me. I had been struggling with this day for weeks and it was finally here. My mother came up behind me, turning me to her and hugging me again. I felt another hand on my back and looked up from my mother’s embrace to see Matt hugging the both of us. Before I knew it, everyone had piled in for this spontaneous hug-fest.

“It’s getting hot. Get off guys…” I said thru muffled bodies.

“Wow so much love you give us…” Johnny said sarcastically as everyone dispersed.

I stuck my tongue out at him as we walked out of the house. Matt and I stopped on the front porch of the house with Mama. I pulled my phone out and Matt held out the phone and took a picture of all three of us.

“I can’t believe you all are leaving…” Mama said as she hugged Matt tightly.

“It’s alright Mama. You call us if you need anything. We’ll be calling every week. I promise. I love you Mama.” He said releasing her from his large tattooed arms.

“I love you too Matthew. Take care of these girls…” she said as she hugged me again.

“I can’t believe I’m saying goodbye to you. I love you Kamalei.” She said to me as she squeezed.

“Mama… This isn’t goodbye. I’ll see you sooner than you think. I love you too Mom.” I replied breaking away and making my way to the truck with the others.

Matt lifted me up into the back with Jimmy, Johnny, and Zacky. He got into the cab with Val, Brian and Kelly. I sat between Jimmy and Zacky and looked at my mom’s house for what would be the last time in a long time. She waved at us as Kelly started to drive away from the house. I waved back letting a tear fall as a piece of my past vanished before my eyes…
