*~*Matt’s POV*~*

My sister looked so sad last night at the beach. I caught her crying but I said nothing. Something wasn’t right about this Micah guy and I was sure that we WOULD be visiting her.

I had sent everyone home last night, Val had gone off to her sister’s house, and I opted to have a living room sleepover with just me and her. We pushed the couches back and made a bed similar to the one she had made on the tour bus floor the first night she stayed with us. She had wanted to watch old school scary horror movies, and it made me think of Zacky’s passion for this kind of thing. I had obliged as long as she promised she wouldn’t wake up screaming from nightmares.

She was curled up on my side, lightly snoring and snuggled in the blankets. I just laid there and let her sleep as I thought.

I can’t believe my baby sister is leaving already. I wish this day never had to come. I love having her here. I love learning new things about her and her life in Hawaii. Who is going to keep her safe there? She talks of no one else but Kelly and Micah, even barely mentioning her mother. I don’t want her to go back. I wish I could convince her to stay.

My phone started buzzing on the kitchen table and I slid out from beside Lei to get it.

Can we come over yet? Jimmy is driving me fucking crazy... ~Syn

I laughed a little to the thought of Jimmy jumping on furniture asking “Can we go yet? Can we go yet? Can we go yet?”

She’s still sleeping. If Jimmy can promise to be quiet you guys can come. ~M.

I started the coffee machine as I waited for a text back. Sitting at the counter I watched my baby sister sleep peacefully. I would be ok with her living here with me and Val if she decided to leave Hawaii. I’d give her the big room upstairs, down the hall from mine that I had turned into a mini studio. The guest bedroom was big enough to hold all of that studio stuff.

I was stirred from my thoughts by the front door opening and slamming shut.

“SHHHH! Shit Jimmy. You promised to be fuckin quiet.” I heard Brian say as everyone walked into the living room.

“Awww look at my Lei-Lei… like a little baby…” Jimmy said crawling onto the floor and cuddling up to her.

“Jimmy. Get away from her.” I said shooing him away.

As he moved, she started waking up, a big smile on her face as Jimmy started tickling her.

“Ahh! Jimmy! Stop! You’re gonna make me pee!” She cried before jumping up and running to the bathroom.

“Muahahaha! I have succeeded!” Jimmy yelled with throwing his hands up in triumph.

Everyone had sat on the couches, Zacky picking up a movie off the table, “Return of the Living Dead, huh?”

“Yeah, little miss scaredy pants wanted to watch it.” I replied rolling my eyes.

“What time is her flight today?” Johnny asked.

“It’s at 12. We’re gonna have to leave soon.” I said sadly.

“I better help this girl pack then…” Kelly said getting up and walking towards Kamalei’s direction.

Looking around at everyone, I could tell no one was happy for her to go. They wanted her to stay just as much as I did. I started folding up the blankets from the floor which just made me more sad. My baby sister was leaving, who was going to make a bed out of millions of blankets and pillows on the floors?

“Why do you have to go my Lei-Lei!? WHY CANT YOU STAY!?!” Jimmy yelled as he ran down the hall and into the guest room.

“I wish I could Jimmy. I have to take care of stuff at home though. You come to visit me?” I heard her tell him as they walked out from the bedroom, bags in hand.

“OF COURSE WE WILL COME TO VISIT YOU!! I’m gonna miss you sooooo much Lei-Lei!” He screamed and grabbed her into a hug.

“I’m gonna miss you too my biggest brother.” She said looking up at him.

I grabbed her bags from her and went outside to put them in my car. Everyone had come outside and was telling her their goodbyes on the front lawn.

“Take care sweetheart and I promise we will come to see you soon.” Val said releasing her from a hug.

The last to tell her bye was Zacky. She wrapped her arms around his neck and grabbed him tightly.

“I’m gonna miss you Zacky boy.” She said as she hugged him.

“I’m gonna miss you too Lei. Promise you’ll text me when you get home?” he said wrapping his arms around her waist.

“I promise. Thank you so much. For everything.” She replied.

“Anything for you Kamalei.” He said pulling away from her looking into her eyes.

This was making me uncomfortable. I could feel my anger building up. Then I noticed she was crying. I couldn’t be mad at her when she was crying.

“Hey, stop. Remember you’re the prettiest when you smile.” He said to her wiping her tears from her cheek.

“Ok. I just wish I didn’t have to leave all of you.” She said turning to me.

She ran up to me and jumped in my arms, “Matt. Big brother. I love you.”

“I love you too Kamalei. I’m gonna miss you my baby sister. Make sure you call me. I want to know my baby sister is doing good.” I told her holding her tight.

“I will. I’m sorry for making you mad big brother.” She said and I could feel the tears streaming down her face onto my shirt.

“It’s ok baby. None of that matters as long as you’re safe.” I said stroking her hair.

“I’m gonna miss you Matt. I should probably tell dad I don’t hate him.” She said as I set her down.

“I’ll tell him. You should call him too. Maybe not seeing him face to face will help.” I told her.

She nodded. Kelly ran up behind her and hugged her again, “Lei, I’m gonna miss you. Please just stay.” She pleaded.

“I can’t. I’ll see you when you get home though. I’ll call you when I get home.” She said letting more tears fall.

I set the camera on my phone and we all huddled together and took a picture in front of the house before it was time to go. I opened the passenger side for her and shut the door behind her. As I got in she was crying and waving at everyone on my front porch.

I started the car and as we pulled out of the driveway I caught Zacky mouth the words, “Don’t leave.” to her.

By the time we were turning off the street she was all but balling her eyes out. I grabbed her hand and held it on the way to the airport.

“You don’t have to go Lei. You can stay with me and Val. We wouldn’t mind it at all…” I said trying to get her to change her mind.

“Thank you Matt. I just can’t.” was all she said to me before resuming her silence for the rest of the ride.

I pulled up to the curb at the airport and got her bags out of the back. She stood there trying her best to hold her tears in. I grabbed her in another hug and held her tight.

“You call me when you get home. You need anything, ANYTHING, EVER-You call me. I won’t be like dad. I’ll come get you. I’ll come and help you. I love you baby girl…” I said.

“Ok Matt. I love you too brother. I’ll keep in touch with all of you. I’ll miss you so much.” She said choking back tears.

“We’ll all miss you too Kamalei. Have a safe trip home ok? I love you.” I told her as she grabbed her bags and made her way in the airport.

“I love you Matt. I love all of you guys!” she called out as I got in my car.

I pulled away as she walked in the gates and towards the security gates. I couldn’t help but cry a little on the way home, glad that I dropped her off alone. I couldn’t take it if the guys were here making fun of me. I drove in silence all the way home not bothering to turn on the radio. I pulled into my driveway seeing everyone’s cars still at my house. I came in the house and everyone was sitting around looking sad.

“Did she go? Did she really go?” Kelly asked, her eyes brimming with tears.

“Yeah. She really went.” I replied before sitting on the couch next to Val.

I noticed everyone was there except Zacky, “Where’s Zacky?”

“He went home. Said something came up and he had to go.” Brian replied.
