Brother and Sister.

I shut the door from my room and laid my head on it. I tried to catch my breath, I turned myself to see Val laying on her bed, looking a magazine, she put her head up and looked at me.


“What happened? You look horrified.” She said sitting back up.

“He's with that girl.” I said catching my breath back up.

“Which girl?” She said as she went closer to me.

“That girl, Anna, the one that welcomed us, she was literally hitting on him. He didn't even realize it! He always need to be with all these bitches..”

“Oh.. I'm so sorry Hayley..” She said as she rubbed my arms. “Do you have an other class today?”

“No...” I answered looking at the floor.

“Then let's go out to change your mind!” She said giving me one of her comfort smile.
I didn't really want to but I couldn't refused, she was being so nice to me. I accepted. We went out in town, shopping like all normal girls would do. It was fun and it changed my mind too which was perfect. When we came back later that day, we met Matt sitting on a table in the students lounge, he was with 2 other guys, one was looking pretty tall and skinny, the other was much smaller with a septum and snakebite piercing.

“Hi guys!” Val said as she sat down next to her boyfriend. I sat down next the pierced guy. “This is my friend Hayley, which is also my roommate.”

“I'm Zachary but call me Zacky.” The pierced guy said.

“Jimmy.” The tall guy said.

“Nice to meet you.” I waved a hand shyly to both of them.

“So? She isn't a slut like your ex roommate?” Jimmy asked to Val. Well that guy didn't have his tongue in his pocket.

“Really not. I'm happy.” Val winked at me.

We talked together for about a half hour when Brian came over. He didn't even say hi, he just turned himself to me.

“Why did you go so fast?” He asked, being extremely serious. I just answered the first thing that passed into my head.

“I didn't want you to be late, that's all” I lied. He crossed his arms onto his chest and said.

“You maybe forgot I know you as much as I know myself. I know you're lying.”

“Not at all, I'm just...” I looked at everyone who was watching the scene so preciously. “Happy for you..” I said with a fake smile on.

Brian didn't say anything else but just sat down. Of course he knew I was lying! He knew me so well..

“Dude, Matt told me you play guitar too?” Zacky said talking to Brian.

“Of course, my dad's the Guitar Guy!” Brian answered laughing.

“No way?!” Jimmy said, surprised.

Brian just shrugged his shoulders, proud of it. I laughed to that thought. Brian's dad was actually the Guitar Guy. A kinda famous guy playing humorist songs with his guitar. I was kinda happy they were talking about something else, I didn't want to be lying to Brian. I barely never did.. The boys just talked about starting a band. Zacky was a guitar player, Jimmy a drum player and Brian, obviously, an other guitar player, Matt did play guitar too but he wanted to be more the vocalist. I listened carefully and quietly to their conversation. I never saw Brian so excited, well he was even more excited than the day he had his first guitar.

“But wait! We need a bass player” Brian said, thinking.

“This guy does...” Matt said pointing a guy sitting on an other table.

“Oh Dameon, this guy's in my Geo class.” Zacky said.

“Yeah, I know, he was in my class last year too..” Matt said.

“I'll get him” Jimmy said standing up.

We all shut ourselves and tried to hear the conversation. Two minutes later, Jimmy and that Dameon came over to our table. He sat down next to me and gave me his hand. I shook it.


"Dameon, nice to meet you."

“I'm Hayley.” I said still holding his hand.

“Pretty name for a pretty girl like you..” He said, winking.

“Thank you..” I said looking around me, everyone was looking at us. Especially Brian. He was staring at Dameon guy with his killer eyes, or let's say.. His big brother's eyes...

“So Jimmy told me you would need a bass player?” He said looking at every guy on the table.

“Yeah, would you want to be our bass player?” Matt asked.

“Of course!”

They all continued talking except Brian. I knew him so well to know that he really didn't like that guy at all. After a good 30 minutes, Brian stood up in the middle of a conversation.

“Sorry guys... Start to feel sick..” He waved goodbye to everyone and then turned himself to me. “Are you coming with me?”
