Looking for True Love

When the lights went off and the members left the stage, the concert was over. Hope looked at Clara with a huge smile on her face and said, “That was fucking awesome! Synyster Gates looked at me and winked!” Clara was laughing so hard that she couldn’t speak. After a few minutes, Clara had stopped laughing and said, “I’m glad you had a great time. So you ready to go meet the band? Hope was so excited that she took Clara by the arm and started running towards the backstage. When Hope and Clara made their way through the crowd, they had stopped running and Clara just looked at Hope. “Why were we running?” Clara asked.

Hope was trying to catch her breath then said, “Sorry, I’m just so excited to meet Avenged Sevenfold especially Synyster Gates.” Hope said. “Well let’s go meet them then!” Clara responded as she was walking towards the backstage. Hope followed Clara till they got to where Avenged Sevenfold was and Hope looked at Clara nervously and said, “You ready?” Clara didn’t speak but started walking where the band was. “Well! I’ll take that as a yes,” Hope said to Clara. Hope was so nervous that she didn’t know what to say. “Are you alright?” Clara asked.

“Yeah I’m just nervous,” Hope honestly said. “Don’t be nervous. Just be yourself.” Clara told Hope. With that confidence, Hope and Clara started walking to where Avenged Sevenfold was. When Hope and Clara turned the corner, Avenged Sevenfold was standing meeting fans. Clara turned to look at Hope and saw that Hope was about to faint. “Are you sure you are okay?” Clara said kind of worried. “Yeah, I’m totally fine.Once I meet them I’ll be fine.” Hope responded to Clara.

As soon as Hope said that, she locked eyes with Synyster Gates. “I’m totally fine now,” Hope said to Clara while holding Synyster’s gaze. It was Hope and Clara’s turn to meet Avenged Sevenfold. “Hey, I’m Synyster Gates, this is M. Shadows, Johnny Christ, Zacky Vengeance, and The Rev.” Synyster said to Hope and Clara. Hope’s eyes were still locked with Synyster’s and she was smiling. “I’m Hope and this is Clara,” Hope finally said.

“I absolutely love the way you play the guitar,” Hope said to Synyster. “And y’all are such an awesome band,” Hope said while Clara was nodding her head. When Hope said “y’all” it made Synyster laugh. “I’m glad you love my guitar playing,” Synyster said with a smile on his face. “Can we get a picture with you guys?” Clara asked. “Sure, you can also take a picture with your favorite band member,” M. Shadows said. Hope and Clara looked at each other trying to decide on who should go first.

“Hand me your phone and I’ll take a picture of you and the guys,” Hope said to Clara. Clara walked over and stood by M. Shadows and Zacky Vengeance. Hope took the picture then said, “Okay, my turn now then you can get a picture with M. Shadows.” Hope handed Clara back her phone then Hope got out her phone and gave it to Clara. Hope walked over and stood by Synyster and Zacky with the biggest smile on her face. “Can you go ahead and take my picture with Synyster?” Hope asked Clara. “Yeah then take mine with M. Shadows,” Clara responded. Hope put her arm around Synyster’s back.

Before Hope pulled away Synyster gave Hope a big hug. Clara still had Hope’s phone and took a picture without Hope knowing. “My turn,” Clara said walking towards Hope. “I’ll just use my phone and send you the picture later,” Hope said to Clara while she let go of Synyster. After Hope took the picture of Clara and M. Shadows, Clara got a text from her mom. “Man, my mom is here to pick me up,” Clara said kind of sad. Hope looked at Clara and said, “How am I supposed to get home? I’m not leaving yet.” Synyster looked at Hope and said, “I can give you a ride home so it gives us a chance to talk more.”

Hope was smiling really big and responded, “Thank you Synyster. I really appreciate it.” Clara looked at Hope smiling and said, “Well I will see you later Hope.” Clara turned towards the group and said, “It was awesome meeting you guys!” After Clara said that she turned around and left. Hope was watching Clara leave that she didn’t notice that Synyster was beside her. When Clara was no longer in sight, Hope turned around and was looking at Synyster.

“So Synyster what do you guys do after a concert?” Hope asked. Synyster just smiled and said, “You can just call me Syn and we just usually go back to the hotel.” Hope smiled and knew that she was blushing so hard. “Let’s get you home since it’s already late,” Syn said to hope. She couldn’t say anything but smile and nodded.
