Life According To Amber Lynn Haner
Now, I'm Quite A Favourite In My Family (See Where Violence Gets You?)
*Amber's POV*
Sadly, we didn't go straight home after Dad picked me up from school. Instead, we went over to Johnny's place because there was some football game on or something like that (I don't really follow sports on the tv, so I'm usually pretty clueless as to what's going on).
I was tired and I really just wanted to go home, but Dad was insistent on seeing this football game, saying that "it'll only be an hour long". Yeah, aren't you forgetting the fact that you watch the reviews of the game afterwards? They're nearly two hours long. So as you may have noticed, I wasn't a happy bunny with the current situation.
I dragged my school bag into Johnny's house and sat as far away from the tv as I could. Seeing as though I'm here, I may as well study for my Halloween exams, right? However, my studying didn't go down to well.
It lasted five minutes without interruption, and I was interrupted by Zacky flicking a tortilla chip at me from across the room (he's got good aim, I'll give him that). I groaned and took my earphones out to see what his problem was.
"What?" I asked, sighing and closing my history book over.
"What are you doing?" He asked, totally oblivious to how pissed off at him I was.
"I'm studying."
"How can you study while your listening to music?"
"It's easy. How can you play a show with a broken guitar?"
"But my guitar's not broken..?"
"Well it will be if you don't leave me alone and let me study. If I fail history, it's your fault."
"Alright, alright. I'll leave you to it."
"Thanks."

An hour later, the football game was on half-time, so Dad seized the opportunity to tell the guys about the screwed up nose that I gave Amelia today. He's been delighted with me all afternoon because of it, and I don't think he expected me to do it either.
"Did you guys hear what Amber did today?" He asked, and that was followed by a chorus of 'no's.
"What'd you do?" Arin asked, and I sighed.
"I gave someone a bloody nose." I shrugged, not really phased by it. As I said to Danny earlier, I could've given Amelia a lot worse.
"You what?" Johnny said, totally shocked.
"I punched her right in the nose for being a bitch."
"Is that the girl who's been giving you a hard time all week?" Matt asked, and I nodded.
"Yeah, it was. She's never liked me anyways, so it's fine. Plus, she had it coming. I could've done a lot worse to her, as I took jiu-jitsu and kick boxing lessons, but I let her down easy."
"Jesus Christ, I didn't know you we're that violent." Zacky laughed nervously, and moved more away from me slightly.
"Oh believe me, I can punch harder. I once had a guy black and blue when I was ten. My step-dad Austin was pretty proud of me. My mom wasn't so much." I noticed Matt mouth the words 'step-dad' to Dad, while Dad nodded. Matt frowned slightly then, but he didn't say anything.
"Well, we won't get on the wrong side of you, then." Arin said finally, and I couldn't have agreed more.
"Don't, because I'm able to put you in the hospital." I said flatly, which caused a chorus of uneasy and nervous laughs. Great, I had my own father and my four uncles scared of me. Life goals achieved.

After the second half of the game, Dad and I went home, because I wouldn't quit whining about being bored of studying. In the end, I got so bored that I ended up watching the last half of the football game, squashed on the sofa between Dad and Matt. I was still clueless as to what the hell was even happening in that game.
Notes
It's 4 days to Christmas and to be honest, I couldn't be any less enthusiastic
