Life According To Amber Lynn Haner

*Amber's POV*

Its now Friday, and this week has just dragged on so slowly that it made a snail look like a cheetah. I'm not even kidding. I was preparing myself for a nice weekend of doing nothing, but those plans changed rapidly, much to my dismay.

Dad had literally just picked me up from school, and we were now on our way home, and I was preparing myself to literally spend my whole weekend on the couch watching tv, because its been a stressful week for me. But nooooo. I'm not allowed to do that.

"Hey, yknow Bob? He's getting married in a couple of months, cool right?" Dad said, as if I knew Bob. I don't.

"Oh yeah..Bob..he's great, alright.." I replied half-heartedly, faking that I knew who the hell Bob was.

"You don't know who Bob is, do you?"

"I haven't a breeze as to who he is."

"He's our tour manager, you met him before."

"Oh, him. Johnny told me his name was Dave. That's why."

"Nope, he's Bob. So yeah, he's getting married and it's his bachelor party tonight, and he's invited us along."

"Tonight? But you and me were meant to go to the movies tonight.."

"I know, I'm sorry. But he really wants us to be there for him, so can we change going to the movies to another time?"

"Yeah, sure, whatever." Did my own father just blow off a trip to the movies with me?

"Come on, don't be like that." He poked my nose but I swatted his hand away. Now he's going to have to put up with me being a bitch for the rest of the weekend.

"Leave me alone." I mumbled, and shifted in my seat to look out the window. I'm not in a good mood now.

"Don't be bitchy about it, Amber, c'mon. You know your my favourite daughter."

"Incase you haven't noticed, I'm your only daughter, and your only child."

"Your missing the point; I know your mad at me, but please just don't be. We can go to the movies tomorrow instead, alright?"

"Whatever."

"Just go and get your stuff ready, Mich said you can stay over at her place for the night." He sighed, and I sighed too.

"'Kay." I noticed we were home, so I got my keys out of my pocket and let myself in, before running upstairs to get my stuff.

It didn't take me long to shove my pyjamas and tomorrows outfit into my fluffy My Little Pony backpack, and it took longer gathering everything else that I needed.

Michelle and I have had a plan in the works for quite a while now; I told her I was thinking of dyeing my hair back to my natural shade of brown, and bleaching the ends of it so that its blonde. After sending her a text to say that we can go ahead with the plan, I ran back downstairs and out into the car.

"All set?" Dad asked, and I nodded. Things are still a bit tetchy since he blew off our movie trip. We headed off to Michelle's house then, still sitting in silence.

Dad dropped me off at Michelle's house about ten minutes later, and I was still pretty pissed off at him. He sensed it, so he made sure he gave me a hug before he left.

"Be good for Michelle, alright? I'll see you tomorrow afternoon, when I pick you up, and then I promise we can go to the movies. I'm sorry Amber, it was just a last-minute thing. You know I love you.." He said, giving me a hug and kissing the top of my head.

"Whatever. I'll see you tomorrow. Love you too." I muttered, before getting out of the car and heading up to Michelle's front door.

"Hey Amber, I'm glad you could come over. I've got the hair bleach and the hair dye remover, so we're good to go." She said, after I gave her a hug.

"Hey, Michelle. It's show time." I replied, as we headed inside. Dad was going to freak out when he saw my next hair colour.
