(Love) Contract

Matt’s POV

It was Wednesday, today we would start our travel to the first destination of the festival tour.
I liked the feeling that soon I would be back on stage, but I didn’t know if everything would work out.
Especially since I had this little problem that Tara wouldn’t leave my mind…
That whenever I was near her I felt the need to touch her, and that this attraction might be something more than just attraction…
But it couldn’t…
I just needed to concentrate on my work and not pay attention to her and Brian.
But on the other hand I had to help Tara, she already felt insecure and was worried that the others would see through our plan, so I couldn’t just ignore her…
Damnit, that would make things a lot more complicated for me.

I grabbed my bag and walked towards my car, it was time to leave and meet with the others.
I just hoped everything would work out, I knew Jimmy was suspicious and for a good reason apparently.

I drove to our meeting point and saw Zacky together with the Berry brothers waiting for the rest. I parked my car and got out, I threw my bag inside the bus and walked over to Zacky.
“Hey” I greeted everyone and we saw the next car walking pulling into the driveway.
“Look, Johnny and Jimmy. So Gates like always the last.” Zacky said and I nodded. Matt walked over to help Jimmy and Johnny with their bags while Jason, Zacky and I stayed behind.
“Tell us Jason, are you okay with Gates and Tara?” Zacky asked and I saw Jason look a little confused but then quickly changed to looking annoyed.
“Don’t ask. I told him to stay away from her, did he listen, no!” Jason said and sounded pissed.
Good actor he is.
“But it’s working out apparently, you met her?” Jason asked Zacky and he nodded.
“Yeah, we met her. She seems pretty cool, don’t know why she fell for Brian, but that’s a different question, right? Please tell us, you will make this trip a living hell for Brian, please tell you, pleasssee” Zack begged and I frowned.
“What? Why?” Jason frowned and I must have looked the same.
“Come on, she is your friend, you wouldn’t want to watch Brian all over her the entire time, would you? Come on, let’s have some fun and disturb him… It’s your right as friend of Tara.” Zacky said and smirked.
“Oh.. well.. yeah.” Jason looked still a little confused but shrugged.

Finally Brian’s car pulled into the parking lot and he got out, he walked around the door and helped Tara climb out, grabbed their bags and threw them at Matt standing near the bus.
“Hey guys!” He walked over to us and after saying hi to everyone we finally moved into the bus and were ready to leave.
We had a few hours of driving ahead of us and should use the time we had, the earlier we arrived, the sooner we could get into our hotel and didn’t have to sit around the crowded bus.

“Come on, babe. I will show you the bus and the bed we will be staying in when we drive over night.” I heard Brian say behind me.
He looked at me with a smirk and held Tara close to him.
I tried not to pay too much attention to them, but as soon as my eyes met Tara’s I couldn’t seem to look away again.
She smiled at me, but saw a little uncertainty in her eyes and I didn’t know why.
“So, this is Ben… He is our driver. Ben this is Tara, my girl.” The driver nodded to her and she smiled at him.
I moved into the sitting next to Zacky and Jimmy. Johnny went to one of the bunks and closed the curtain.
“Beer?” Jimmy asked and I looked at the clock.
“Yep.” Zacky nodded and I moved closer to the fridge, opened it and handed beers to everyone.
“Tara? Brian?” I asked and I saw Brian glancing at her and I had to suppress a chuckle that Brian was really looking at her for permission, this worked out way better than I thought.
“What you say, babe? Beer first or beer after sex?” Brian smirked and I nearly choked on my first sip of my beer, I had been wrong as it seemed.

Tara’s POV

“What?” I felt my cheeks flush and looked stunned at Brian. “Just kidding, babe.” Brian kissed my cheek and plopped down next to Matt on the bench, and then he patted his lap and motioned me to sit down.
“Sit , babe.” He finally pulled me onto his lap and everybody slid a little to the side so we could all sit around the table.
Matt handed me a beer and our hands touched, he looked deep into my eye and I nearly dropped it. In the last instant I held on and Matt smiled, showing his dimples.

This was more than awkward.
Sitting on Brian’s lap and looking at Matt’s dimples made me way to aware of the fact, that I didn’t only sleep with Matt but with Brian as well.
And that both nights had been amazing, but completely different.
I knew I shouldn’t have slept with Brian last night, but he had turned me on so bad during these last days when I was with him, that all my resistance had crumbled in the end…
And Matt was just a sin and had taken me off guard when we met, this was stupid Tara.
I looked away from Matt and tried to not think about both nights.
Oh fuck, how could this work out?
I should talk to Brian and tell him that what happened between us, really was a onetime thing and we shouldn’t complicate this weird ‘fake’ relationship we are having.
Everything was complicated enough without us making this real.
“Brian, can I talk to you for a second?” I whispered into his ear and he grinned.
“Sure, let’s go.” Brian winked at the guys at the table and I heard Zacky chuckle, “Go, Gates”

I rolled my eyes and went to the back room, Brian followed me and I didn’t really know how he would react when I told him what I planned.
I sat down on the bed and Brian closed the door behind him “Please tell me, that talking was an excuse and we will make out now?” Brian said and grinned.
I lifted one eyebrow and he sighed “Damn, really talking?”
“Yeah, Brian… yesterday night…” I began quietly but Brian shook his head at me.
“Tara, don’t.” He whispered back.
“No, please just listen. We shouldn’t have done that, this will make everything even weirder between us and I don’t want that. Can we please, just keep on pretending and act like nothing happened?” I asked and I saw him frown at me a little.
“You know that we are actually supposed to act like something happened, not the other way around, right?” Brian asked and this time I was the one sighing.
“I know.” Brian put his hand under my chin and made me look at him.
“Tara, I am not in love with you. And you are not in love with me, right?” He looked deep into my eyes and I nodded.
“What’s the matter then, Tara? It was amazing, right?” He asked me and if I didn’t know better I heard a little insecurity in his voice.
“The matter is that… damn it. I don’t know…I just feel like this is going too far and something will be going wrong. I had been really amazing, that’s definitely not the problem.” I told him honestly.
“Tara, if you are uncomfortable with this.” He motioned between us and continued “I will try to behave myself… alright?!”
I grinned “Thank you.”
It was silent between us, Brian laid his arm around me and pulled me to his side.
It was comfortable like this and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t know if this was the right decision, I didn’t even know if I could keep my hands off of him, because if wanted to admit it or not, he was damn sexy and the sex had been amazing.
“There is no other reason?” Brian asked suddenly and I looked at him surprised.
“What do you mean?”
“Nothing… just… doesn’t matter.” Brian shook his head and got up from the bed.
“Let’s go back to the others, I am sure they want to get to know you better, since we will spent some more time with them.” Brian pulled me up from the bed and we walked out hand in hand, I breathed deeply in and out, why didn’t I feel any better?
