(Love) Contract

Matt’s POV
I had stared at Brian and Tara kissing… Zack’s phone call had interrupted it. And I was glad for that, but also let some of my frustration out on him… at first.
Damn, I didn’t like Brian kissing her, Brian putting his lips on the ones I kissed before…
Fuck, how much I wanted to kiss her right now!
I was just glad that Zack interrupted the kiss scene of them, still I had to breathe deeply in and out not to show my aggravated mood right now.

Now, everything with the contract was settled and we walked towards our cars. Our lawyer was gone already and took the paper work with him.
We stopped before my car and Cara motioned to the other side of the street “Our car is over there.”
“Okay, so we will come over tomorrow around, nine? And pick you and your stuff up. Do we need two cars?” I asked and Tara blushed while her sister began to laugh hysterically.
I frowned and didn’t know why they had such a strange reaction.
“I.. I.. no..” Tara blushed even more and looked completely uncomfortable and I didn’t know why and what I said that made her this way.

I longed to put my hand to her chin and lift her face up to me, so she would look into my eyes and confess what was wrong.
“What did I miss?” I finally asked.
“Nothing… just be at my home at nine. We will get everything in one car.” Cara said and still had a smile on her face, when she shook my hand, then Brian’s hand and moved towards her car.
Brian grabbed Tara into a hug and I heard him murmur something, but couldn’t make out what it was.
Tara nodded and still looked ashamed away, not meeting my eyes and I didn’t like that at all.
When Brian finally made some space and walked away I hugged Tara and whispered
“What did I do wrong?”
“Nothing.” She shook her head, trying to get out of my hug but I held on.
“Tell me.”
“You will see tomorrow, Matt.” With that Tara pushed away and turned around and went to her sister’s car.

I turned around and walked back to Brian, I opened the door, climbed inside and we silently made our way to Brian’s home.
“If you want to know something, you have to ask, Matt.”
“Huh?” I looked at Brian from the side “What do you mean?”
“Damn, Matt… everybody could read the confusion from your face. Just ask…” Brian sighed loudly.
“Fine, what did I say that made her so uncomfortable, I don’t get it?” I asked but how could Brian answer that question?
“She was embarrassed, because she doesn’t have much to bring to my home. Matt, she is living on her sister’s couch. She doesn’t have more than 2 bags with her when she moved in with her sister.
So when you asked about two cars, she must have felt pretty embarrassed and maybe she thought you made fun of her.” Brian said and I stopped the car and parked at the side of the road.
“What?” I frowned.
She said she was living at her sister and I wondered about her small bag that she took along on the trip.
“She came to me the evening before we went in Vegas to the restaurant. She wanted me to lie to you and Jason and tell you that she was sick, that she couldn’t come along.” Brian looked at me serious.
“Again… what? Why? And why did she go to you?” I frowned even more, trying to recall everything she told me or the things I recognized about her.
“Because she asked me if there was a dress code, she didn’t have any fancy clothes with her… she didn’t have much, like at all… so I went shopping with her. She was embarrassed and didn’t want you to think bad about her… and why she went to me, because I am trustworthy asshole… but that’s not the point…” Brian leaned back looking at the ceiling of my car then back at me. “I guess she wanted to go to Jason, but accidentally went to my door.”Brian clarified and I couldn’t believe it.
She went to Brian and asked him for help, she was embarrassed and that dress… Brian had picked that dress out for her, he went shopping with her… he did the getting to know with her, I had wanted…

Fuck, and it was right, they should play the couple, this was right, but why did I feel bad and feel jealous of the time Brian had with her…
Damn, this would only get worse when they actually would be the couple in front of all of us, and I still remember her sweet moans when my hands were in her pants, and the sweet taste of her skin, when I nibbled on her shoulder and kissed her lips.
“Matt? I know you didn’t mean to embarrass her, but maybe you should talk to her tomorrow. Maybe you should pick her up alone, I will prepare her room in the meantime, oh and by the way Jimmy will come over tomorrow, he wants to check out my new girl.” Brian grinned but I could only think of the part where I would pick up Tara alone.
“Yeah, you are right. Maybe I should pick her up, I will apologize to her. Damn it, I didn’t know all this.” I hit the steering wheel and groaned in frustration.
She could have come to me, I should have been the first person she should go to, right?!
I started the engine again and pulled back into the traffic.

When we arrived at Brian’s home I just let him get out and he frowned at me “You not coming with me?”
“I will come tomorrow, together with Tara, will sleep at home tonight and get some fresh clothes and stuff. So if I leave you alone for one night, you are okay, right? I guess you would like to have one night alone, before you are spending the next days and nights with Tara and me?”
Brian lifted an eyebrow at me “I didn’t know you swing that way, Matty, sounds kinda kinky.”
I rolled my eyes, “You know what I mean. So are you okay, and I don’t need to search for you again? No running away and flying to some fun city? Is that clear?”
“I got it. No more fun, I am now not only stuck with you but with my girlfriend. It’s okay Matt. I will be here tomorrow. No more fun trips… for now.” Brian grinned and turned around waving his hand while he walked away.
“Bye.” I turned around and drove over to my home, but my thoughts always returned to Tara.

Zack’s POV

I parked my car beside the bar, the parking space was limited and I could see that the bar was crowded with all the cars already parking here.
I got out and walked towards the entrance, I knew the owner and his colleague, but the one just from seeing him a time or two.
My friend was Chris and his partner was Tony, if I remembered correctly.

I made my way towards the bar, trying to see if the same girl was working as the last time I have been here. I pushed some people aside and finally found a chair to sit down.
I knew Tony and Chris were always searching for some nice female bartender, who knew what they were doing but also looked hot.

I saw Chris behind the bar and frowned, where were the girls?
“CHRIS? YOOO CHRIS?”
He turned towards me and grinned. “Hey man, nice to see you!” He clapped my hand and smiled “Where is Gates?”
“Ahhh… he rather plays nice boyfriend and spending the evening with his chick, I’m alone. Can you get me a beer?” I asked and tried to look around him, normally he and his colleague are not behind the bar themselves.
“Where are the girls? Since when is bar tendering a job for the boss?” I asked not seeing anyone else around.
“Ha… yeah.. If you are the owner, you have to be multitasking, right? But you wouldn’t know that.. We had a staff shortage and trying to get knew personal here. Tony is on it… But until then we need to help out every now and then. Today it’s just me and Alessia, and Caren but they are doing the tables in the back… Why? Interested in a part time job?” Chris asked and I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, funny. No, Alessia, huh? Is that the hot brown haired girl, from last time… she was behind the bar, right?” I asked grinning.
“Oh Zack, don’t even think about it.” Chris shook his head at me, then gave me the beer and motioned to the back on the right side.
“She is responsible for this side.” He grinned.
“Why tell me now? I thought I shouldn’t think about it…” I asked smiling back as well.
“Oh, you can try, but she can handle herself pretty well, good luck.” With that Chris turned away, trying to get all the orders from the other customers done.
