(Love) Contract

Brian’s POV

I thought he would call earlier, but I guess Jimmy just got my message.
“Hey Jimmy, what’s up?”
“Where are you?” Jimmy sounded out of breathe.
“Having dinner, why?” I asked.
“With that girlfriend who nobody met so far?” Jimmy sounded suspicious.
“Matt met her already and she is friends with Jason, so they know her, what’s the matter?”
I knew Jimmy would be hard to convince.
“Hmm… can I come over tomorrow? I wanna meet that girl.” Jimmy finally said and I frowned.
“Tomorrow? I don’t know.. Haven’t talked to her about tomorrow yet. Maybe we can-” I started but Jimmy interrupted me.
“Talk to her now, she is with you isn’t she?” Jimmy asked.
“Fine, give me a second.”

I walked back to the table and saw that Cara and the lawyer were discussing details, while Tara looked up and smiled when I walked her way, Matt was gone from the table.
“Hey babe, I got my band mate Jimmy on the phone, he wants to visit us tomorrow, do you think, we got time for that?” I looked at Tara.
She frowned at me then saw my phone in my hand and I mouthed ‘He is suspicious’
“Oh yeah, sure. Why not… but better in the evening, you know I still have some things to do in the morning, so I won’t be home.” Tara smiled at me and I nodded.
“BRIAN?!” I heard Jimmy scream through my phone.
“Did you hear?” I asked him.
“Yeah, alright. So… I will come over tomorrow. Bye.”
I stared at my phone, he hung up already.
I shook my head and sat back down, and Matt also came back sitting down beside me.

After some more minutes and discussions between Cara, the lawyer and Matt they seemed to have clarified all the details and we could finally eat.
The dinner was quiet but no in an uncomfortable way. I was glad I could finally eat, my stomach was growling the entire time.
I looked over at Tara and Cara with their small menu’s they were done so fast, and I knew exactly why they just ordered this small dish.
They didn’t want to spend too much money, here… even if we invited them, they didn’t want us to spend so much money. I liked that, but it was completely unnecessary.

After we were all done, it was time for business again, Matt asked a couple of question again and I nodded, not really paying attention to everything.
“Alright, then I think everything is prepared and you can sign.” Matt held a pen out to me and I looked up.
I shrugged and took the pen from him, “Fine. So the details and parameters of our relationship Tara and I will talk about in private, right?”
“Yeah, since both of you refused to write it in the contract.” Matt sounded annoyed.
I nodded “Good.”
I signed and held the pen out for Tara, she took it and I smiled at her, sealing our new relationship with a name on a contract, weird feeling.

Tara expression seemed also a little confused then she looked at her sister, “Are you sure you wanna do it? Now, it’s still time to back out…” Her sister looked at her then frowned.
“Oh one more question.” Cara said before Tara could sign.
“Yeah?” Matt looked at her waiting for the question.
“Tara, did you talk to Tony? I mean, what if Tara also does another job? She had a job interview with a friend of ours. Is that okay, we didn’t clarify that?” Cara asked.
“Right, I still need to answer him. He told me I could have the job.” Tara said and I frowned.
“What do you mean? You want to work, while you are with me?” I asked her frowning.
“I think it would help to show your relationship is real, she needs to have a job. Or wouldn’t it look, well strange that she is just around you…” Cara said and I nodded, right… she had a point.
“But that’s her job…” Matt cut in.
“I could talk to Tony, tell him when I could work and that when you have festivals or tours I am out, I mean… we have to talk about the schedule anyway?!”
“I don’t like that… what is that for a job?” Matt asked.
“A normal job in a bar.” Tara said and looked at me.
“I think it’s your decision… babe.” Tara smiled at me and I grinned. “Already in your role, huh? I like it.”
“I think it’s a good idea, you should take the job, I could hang out in the bar, if Matt feels better that way, we could be seen out together and everybody would know she has a job, would also help the image. And if we see it’s not working out, you can still talk to your friend and tell him, you quit.” I said and looked over at Matt.
He seemed lost in his thoughts, “Matt? What do you say?”
“Yeah, alright. Call him, and tell him you will take the job, but only under the conditions that your schedule has to fit with ours. Best is if I would come along, and take our tour and studio plans with me so I can tell you exactly when we will be away, and when we are here and you can work.” Matt looked around, “Is that okay for everyone?”
“Yes.” Cara and Tara nodded and finally she put her name on the contract and I smiled, getting up from my seat and Tara frowned up when I stood above her.
I put my hands on her cheeks and lean down. “Hey Girlfriend, nice to meet you.” I pressed my lips to hers, finally getting my first kiss… at least first kiss from her.

Zack’s POV
Asshole, just calling me after he is already in Vegas and now he is back and has some steady girlfriend, I never heard about…
Best friend he is…
But fuck him, I can call my other friends, maybe one of them wanted to come with me… or I would have my fun alone…
I will go to the same bar I have been with Brian before, we checked it out a couple of weeks ago.

I knew one of the owners, and there was this hot chick behind the bar. Damn, I hadn’t really talked to her the last time, she had been really busy with all the customers.
I had my eyes set on her before and today I would make her mine.
Mine - at least for this night.

I pulled my phone out and called Jimmy. “Hey man, you wanna go out have a beer?”
“Fuck, nah.. I just shut myself in my music room… next time.”
I sighed, “Alright, fine.”
I hung up and dialed Johnny number, the short one always was up for a drink.
“Hey man you got some-”
“Zack? I am not home, what do you want?” Johnny asked before I could finish my sentence.
“Where are you?” I frowned.
“At Lacey’s parents. You got something important?”
“Nah, forget about it. See you Monday…” I hung up.. wow.. awesome… last one would be Matt.

Maybe Matt could give me some details about Brian and his girl.. that would get interesting.
Even thought Matt wasn’t much fun these last weeks or rather months…
I shrugged and dialed Matt’s number this time.
“WHAT?” Matt barked into the phone and I flinched a little.
“Damn, don’t fucking scream in my ear, ass. You got a fabulous mood again, huh?” I asked and Matt sighed.
“Excuse me.” Matt mumbled and I heard his steady breathing.
“Sorry, man. Bad timing. What’s up?” Matt asked finally.
“I am headed to a bar, wanted to know if you like to come along? But with your mood you need to drink a fucking lot to get you to other thoughts, right?”
“Shit, yeah… sorry man, not tonight. I am really exhausted, the whole Vegas trip was more than tiring. Did Brian tell you about the Band meeting?” Matt asked and I heard all the exhaustion in his voice.
“Oh alright, don’t worry. I will go there alone, since Brian is with his girl, right? And yes he did.”
“Yeah right, it’s… delightful…”
“Was that sarcasm?” I grinned.
“Yeah… sorry Zack, we will catch up that later on… I need to settle some things first, but thanks for asking and have fun.” With that Matt hung up and I sighed.
Fine, then I was having my fun alone, and the hot chick behind the bar would have to keep me company for the evening and night.
I grinned, oh yeah…
