The Rev's Undying Sin

What Just Happened?

For a few hours after the concert, me and James sat backstage with the band, talking and getting to know each other. At around one in the morning, I decided we should probably head home since my mom would kill me. We left after a bunch of shared goodbye's.

~~~
The sound of the doorbell woke me and I groaned as I fell out of bed. I sat for a second waiting for my mom to answer the door, but when the doorbell rang again, I got up and made my way downstairs. Once downstairs I opened the door and stood there, dumbfounded. It was Avenged Sevenfold, just standing there, at my door. My inner fangirl freaked out because I was still in pajamas and I looked like utter hell.
"Why are you guys here this early?" I asked leaning on the door, a yawn escaping my mouth.
"To meetsee Marcey again," Matt said. I sighed before standing to the side and letting them in.
"Well she's either passed out from drinking or at her moms. And if she's passed out, good luck waking her up," I said.
"Well you know her a little better than us, why don't you go wake her up?" He asked and I let out a groan and stomped my way up the stairs. I walked down the hallway and turned into my mom's room. My legs stopped in their tracks and I grabbed the door to stabilize myself, which didn't seem to help because my legs got weak and I fell down to the floor and let out a scream. My mom was laying on the floor, unconscious and not breathing. There was a bottle of her muscle relaxers open and scattered across the floor next to her. Her eyes were open but they were glossed over.
From behind me I heard rapid footsteps and then heard five simultaneous gasps.
"Grace come here, Matt call 911," Jimmy said. I just sat there. I felt strong arms wrap around me and pull me up. At that point I didn't care who it was, I turned around and shoved my face into his chest. The tears fell freely and I sobbed into whoever it was chest. They pulled me from the room and down the stairs. I was set on the couch and the emotions washed over me quickly and hard and I was bent over crying. The sobbing didn't end as I sat back up and looked at who was next to me. It was Jimmy. He had his hand on my back and was moving it in circles.
Around twenty minutes later the paramedics and police arrived and came into the house. I looked at Jimmy again and just cried.
"What happened here?! Oh my gosh, Grace," I heard My Aunt Jess say and she came over by me and pulled me into her arms. I cried into her shoulder and she rubbed my back.
"Oh honey, it's alright, what happened?" She asked.
"I don't know. I, I, went to wake her, her up, and she, she, was laying there, not, not, breathing, and she had, had, had pills in her hand. It was horrible Aunt Jess," I cried and she rubbed my back more.
"Come on Grace, you don't need to be in here," she muttered to me quietly and pulled me from the house and to the front yard. I held onto my Aunt like she was the only thing keeping me alive. We stood in the lawn and she kept rubbing my back and my shoulder.
"Excuse me, is it alright for me ask a few questions?" A police officer asked Aunt JEss and I heard her snort.
"Does she look alright? No, now is not eh right time to be asking questions," she said and the officer apologized quickly and left. I heard someone come running from the house but they stopped quickly.
"Grace," I heard Jimmy say and then Aunt Jess wrapped her arms around me tighter.
"Who are you? How do you know Grace and Marcey?" Aunt Jess questioned Jimmy and I stood there, the tears stopping but still falling.
"I was Marcey's boyfriend in high school. And I am Grace's father," he answered and I quickly turned to him.
"You're my dad?" I asked.
"Yeah," he smiled and Aunt Jess kept her arm around my shoulder.
"And where the hell were you the last fifteen years?" She asked and Jimmy swallowed and shrugged.
"Marcey kept Grace from me. I knew she was pregnant but then she dropped off the face of the planet, I couldn't do anything," Jimmy held his hands up.
"Did Marcey tell you about her?"
"No, but last night at one of my concerts, Grace was there and I knew she was Marcey's daughter, she looks exactly like her,"
"I guess that's an okay answer. Grace is coming back to my house for now, alright?" Aunt Jess asked but it was more of a statement.
"Yeah, that's fine. But she'll come live with me eventually, right?" He asked.
"We'll see," Aunt Jess turned me and her around and we walked to her car. The paramedics left and the police officers were now just leaving. Today was just a whirlwind of emotions, and it's only nine in the morning.
Notes
Soo sorry for the long wait! I feel so bad. But this chapter is completely rewritten and you are going to notice, if you've read the original, that Jessica and Andy are a bigger part of this version than the last. But yeah, I hope you enjoy it!
I think the judge should give Jimmy the custody since he is the father it would be different if both parents died thn Jess should have custody but since one is still alive Jimmy has the right, can't wait to read more update as soon as u can :)
I think Jimmy should have custody of his daughter... not Jess. I understand that Grace's aunt is protective, but she should at least let her live with her father. Not to try and take the custody away from him.
Who knows? Grace might like the lifestyle her father lives....
Love it. :)
I think it's awesome that her aunt is letting her stay with her and her husband while she gets to know her father better. Which I think is an awesome kinda arrangement.
Think it would be awesome if she started to move in with Jimmy sometime down the line after she got to know him better.
Love it. :)
I feel so bad for Grace having to see her mom like that. No child, no matter their age, should have to see their mom like that. At all.
I do love how Grace's aunt is protective over her. I do hope Jimmy and Jess do come to an arrangement where Grace can come and stay with him. Like maybe she can stay with him for the summer (or go on tour with the guys)..
And, if she likes staying with her dad--then maybe Jess will let Grace stay with Jimmy sometime down the line. Maybe like a few months or so down the line... depending on if Jess thinks/or sees how happy Grace is being with him.
Love it. :)
