Carry On

I'd been staying with Matt ever since the 'break up'. It's been two weeks, it hasn't got any easier or harder and I guess that's why Matt invited the guys round. Including my dad.

"I just, wish I could tell her the truth" I sighed. "It was meant to be just, well not like this"

"Son if you've been away for however long it was, lying to her, she's not going to think you're planning the renewal. It was a good idea, but maybe you need to stop"

"Stop? Dad I can't stop" I moaned. "It's, too perfect and,--"

"You need to tell her what's really been going on. Taking Michelle out to try dresses on? Of course she's gonna get suspicious" Johnny shrugged sipping his beer.

"They're the same size, and it's not as if it's a wedding dress"

"That is not the point son" Dad warned.

"Before Renee, you were a mess. Does she even know how fucked up you were?" Matt wandered whilst playing on his phone.

"No and she doesn't have too"

"Tell you what" Jimmy spoke up. "You can't loose her, or the kids. Before it's too late you're gonna do something about it. Now, I'll go dress her up and say we're going for something to eat at a posh place I was gonna book out for, I don't know a date? We'll go to the gardens, because it's all, floaty and romantic that kinda crap. I'll leave, tell her, put rings on each other, just do it officially next month. You can do it yourself Brian"

I hated to agree at how good of an idea that was. "Alright" I nodded after a while of hard thinking. "Alright"

"It isn't a choice, I gotta test it out first. Look the kids are with there grandma, you have nothing to worry about. Get this sexy dress on and come"
