Gracie was in love with her new little brother. We'd been home for four days and she'd spent every minute with him. She helped decide the name for him as well. Brian constantly joked about a Brian Jr Jr, but me and Gray refused. We settled on Archie, it suits him perfectly because he is utterly adorable. His eyes were bright green, and he had such a cute button nose. My stomach had settled pretty well thankfully, I had a wedding today. I really didn't want to go, I wanted to stay and spend time with my husband and my two children, but it was only a day. The girl who's wedding I am going too was my childhood best friend. Our friendship lasted until I went to Mississippi when me and Brian were falling out over mom, but she surprised me by asking her to be her maid on honor. In her words there wasn't anybody else who suited it like me, but I personally think she ran out of people to ask. She went to the trouble of having a dress custom made for me because of my bump, but my little boy came a few weeks early so I had to wear an old bridesmaid dress. Luckily it was the same color that her wedding was set in, a dark purple so I was easily to get away with it. Also it hid the slight swell of my stomach nicely, it hung dead almost but it was gorgeous.

"Look at you" Brian smiled rocking Archie to sleep.

"I don't wanna go Bri, I should be here with you, Gray & Archie" I sighed tucking a strand of curled hair behind my ear. "If I weren't maid of honor, I would have bailed. I've just helped out so much with her wedding, I have to be there"

"Sweetie, you need a day off. I know you've only just had this guy but you've been on you're own with Gray for months. I'm their daddy, I know you're worrying but you gotta chill - I'll take care of them" he laughed as if I was stupid. "You can finally have a drink, a lot of it too I hope! You've got a luxury lodge to stay in tonight as well? You deserve a break"

"I'm gonna miss you all though, and you're going Saturday and I need to spend a good night with you--"

He stopped me with a kiss. "Go and have fun. I'll see you Saturday before I go, and I'm back on Monday. Give this little guy a kiss, me a kiss and Gray - then get out of here!"

"Alright" I sighed reluctantly. I kissed Archie gently as he was fast off, I kissed Brian sweetly and stared at him for a while.

"You look beautiful honey"

"Thank you" I tutted. "Well, take care of them both alright? Text me if you need me, I'll come straight home and--"

"Go!!"

"Fine!!!"

After I said bye to Gracie, the cab was here and I was off for the wedding I wasn't looking forward too.

"Oh my god Vanessa!" I smiled walking into her lodge. "Look at you!! Your dress is stunning! You look beautiful Van"

"Ren," she cried rushing over to me. "You know I'm so thankful you've come considering you've only just had a baby, I couldn't have done this without you sweetie" she kissed me and handed me a glass of champagne. "Drink up! 9 months is too long without a drink, and you didn't make it to my bachelorette party so you've got some making up to do"

"If I must" I tutted taking a small sip. "So, everything gone according to plan so far?"

"Yeah, perfectly so far" she giggled. "Is the best man anywhere?" she shouted over to a small huddle of girls.

"Yeah he's just coming down now" her mother yelled back.

"Good" she sighed in relief. "He has my garter!"

"Why does the best man have you're garter?" I laughed oddly.

"Because he had to pick it up from the wedding shop, I ripped mine so he picked a new one. I'd have called you but you were, you know, squeezing a baby out"

"Great" I chuckled. There was a frantic knock on the lodge door, and as a cute little bridesmaid answered. I nearly choked to death on my champagne.

Zack was the best man. Zacks.

"Here's your garter" he laughed approaching us. I turned my back and cringed at how attractive he looked. I hadn't seen Zack in almost a year, it was a huge deal. I knew he was close to Mike, but I wouldn't of named him best man. Well, I wouldn't have named myself as maid of honor.

"Thank you baby" she smiled. "Oh Zack, you know Renee right?"

"I know a Renee, yes, why?"

"Yeah," she span me around, and as our eyes met - our looks were the same.

"Ren" he gasped.

"H-hi"

"Wow, it's been - a, while"

"You could say that" I regretfully blushed. The last time I saw Zack he was hammered, he seemed to have grown up and changed a lot.

"Is, Brian here? Your baby? Gracie?"

"No, Bri thought I needed some time away" we both frowned. "Yeah, I know - I've only just had him and I wanna be with him, but, someone doesn't think that"

"I'm sure it will do you good" he half smiled. "The baby, a boy then?"

"Yeah. Archie, he's - pretty cute" I laughed reluctantly.

"I'll, come see him some time. And Gracie. It's been, too long"

"Yeah" I nodded.

"Alright, well, a little awkward" Vanessa sang. "Zack, go look after Mike - he's probably shitting his pants right now, go!"

"Yeah sorry," he sighed. "Bye Ren,"

"Bye Zack!" Van said louder.

"Yeah, sorry" he repeated. "Bye Vanessa, you look lovely"

"Thank you hon" she gleamed. Once Zack had gone, she stared at me oddly. "You couldn't cut the tension between you two with a knife, what the fucks gone on?" Van laughed loudly.

"Oh, nothing. We haven't spoke in a while that's all" I shrugged.

"I thought you were best buds?"

"We were, yeah"

"Ah. Well, you're sat next to him today. Be nice to each other"

"I'm sure we'll be alright"

"Good. No drama at my wedding. You here that mom?!" she said loudly. "My mother and Mikes mother share a certain vengeance, god it's nasty"
