Zack’s POV

My best friend thought he could fool me. I had a suspicion and I had watched him all evening, saw him trying not to look at Alicia, but stealing a glance now and then, smiling whenever he thought he was not being watched.
When I saw him watching, I had kissed her, made contact, each time Matt looked away, couldn’t stand me being near her…
Fuck, I knew it.
Why didn’t he talk to me?
Why didn’t he tell me that he had more feelings towards her then friendship, why did he leave me in the blue?
He knew I liked her and that we wanted to try, but he should have told me how he was feeling about it.
I knew I was an ass for not talking to him now, since my suspicion was proved, but why should I be the one…

I even tested it after talking to him and made hints, saw him watching Alicia, saw him lusting after her on the dance floor… he could have said it, but he refused, so he needed another push… I had made out with her on the dance floor, thinking that was the push he needed, but when I looked at him again, he was gone… drinking at the bar… maybe trying to forget or searching for his courage…
And what was Alicia thinking, did she know?
I knew what I had to do something now…
I liked her, I liked her a lot but if I had to back off, I had to do it now, or I would feel even worse in the end.
Problem was, if I would ask Alicia about it, she would also tell me nothing, I knew she didn’t want to hurt me, and maybe she was even more confused and thought that this was what she wants, but there was a thing that only I knew and she didn’t…
A thing that I had to struggle with since the past few days maybe even week, it made me thing more and more… and now since it was confirmed, why fight it…
I tried to find a way around it but there was not…

I could only think of one way to get this straight, it might hurt… hurt for a while… but it was better this way… better for everyone.
It would be the best way, I felt sorry for her and for myself… I needed to say something to Matt before I talked to Alicia.
It might sound stupid what I wanted to do, but I think her being angry would be easier than her trying to deny it…
Maybe I am lying to myself, not wanting to hear her say, she doesn’t want me… maybe that’s why I want to make her angry in the end…
It would hurt either way, for me at least… but she had someone she could go to… I had not…

I breathed in a final time before I would finish this, I had to take care of another thing.
I looked over and tried to find Matt, I had to make sure, this time he was really there for her, when I was… not.
Just one more time… I pulled Alicia close and felt her body swaying next to mine, my hands wandered over her curves, a final time, I would say goodbye, before I would ruin it.
She would understand, not now… maybe not tomorrow, but someday she would understand, and see what I did now was right, for her… and for him.

“Zack? Are you okay?” Alicia looked into my eyes and I gave her a sad smile.
“I’m okay. I will be okay again.” I said and pulled her in for the last kiss that I would get from her.
She replied but seemed a little surprised, when she gasped I took the chance to intensive the kiss a little more, just the one time I would be selfish before I would give up the selfishness and do the right thing.
I slowly pulled away and looked at her, “I need to talk to Brian for a second. I will be right back and we need to talk afterwards, alright?” I whispered in her ear.
She nodded and when I made a step back she looked really confused, before I turned away she grabbed on to my arm and pulled me in for another quick kiss.
Did she realize that this was the end of us?

Sean’s POV

I went to the club, just one evening without worry without being on my toes. One evening not thinking of what these two idiots could be planning now.
They told me now that they wouldn’t act on their idea to snatch Matt again but I wasn’t completely convinced.
I didn’t find any hints but my gut feeling was telling me that something was wrong with these two.
My brother normally couldn’t and wouldn’t hide any secrets from me, either he learned to hide it, or they really thought of another plan.

I let my thoughts slide away, let the music from the speakers be the only thing invading my mind now.
I moved my body in the rhythm of the beat and closed my eyes, everywhere were people around me dancing and having fun and I felt a small smile on my lips.
When was the last time I had smiled?
I couldn’t really remember…

“There… they are in the back.”
No.. NO WAY
This couldn’t be my brother, could he?
I opened my eyes and looked around and a few feet away from me I really saw my brother, together with Carl, fuck for real.
What are they doing here? And who is in the back?
I turned around and quickly followed them, I moved so they wouldn’t see me.
I didn’t want to get involved into something, but I just hoped that they were also here just to have fun and nothing else…
Please…

They stopped at the side of the dance floor and when I looked into the direction they were looking in I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Matt said at the bar alone… when I let my eyes move further and further away I saw the rest of the Avenged guys together with their significant other and Alicia…
I saw Brian the tall one walking over to Matt, they were talking… a blonde woman standing a little behind them, seeming to listen to what Matt and Brian were talking… then she began to yell and Zacky walked over…
“Sean?” Will stood before me suddenly.
“What are you doing here?”
“Could ask you the same.” I replied.
“We are… just having fun. You?” Carl replied smirking, but I knew he was still eyes Matt and the others.
“I wanted to enjoy some music, but why are you looking over there, found something interesting… a girl maybe?” I asked casually.
“Well.. no.. we.. are planning something, but doesn’t matter.” Will said and tried to get away.
“Wait, planning what?” I held my hand out and stopped him.
“Maybe we should tell him? What do you think?” Will looked at Carl.
“I don’t know… He will just try to lecture us again!” Carl replied.
“Tell me what the fuck is going on!” I yelled and got not only the attention of my brother and Carl but of everyone standing around us.
“Fuck, alright. Get him outside, so we can talk.” Carl walked forward and then Will grabbed my shoulder pushing me behind Carl.
What are these two idiots doing now?!
