Hostage

Sean’s POV

I looked behind the four moving out of the hotel. We did it…
I walked to the door where Carl and Will had been sleeping. I quietly opened the door and walked inside.
They didn’t lie in the same position when I had last checked on them but their eyes were still closed and Carl even snored.
I walked back out and walked into Matt’s and Alicia’s room again… I looked around to see if there was anything out of order anything left behind we didn’t think of, but it really looked like they had escaped through the window…
And if they had done it, Matt would still be chained, it was good that we would get rid of the chains later, this would have only made it more suspicious, if he somehow got rid of them.
But the keys to his chains were still in Carl’s pockets.
Should I try to get them?
Rather not…

I still had another problem.
As soon as Matt and his friends were home, they would call the police and the police would be here in no time.
I had to possibilities…
The first was leave Will and Carl to their fate…
Orthe second was as soon as Matt and Alicia were save I would come back and act like I just found out that they left and we would clean out all the rooms we had rented and be out of here as soon as we could and not leave any traces behind.
What should I do?

I walked back out of the room and out of the building, trying to look for any signs that we could have made that Will and Carl could notice, but I didn’t find any.
I walked back to the parking lot and knocked on the door of the Van.
Zack opened the door for me and I climbed behind the wheel.
“Is everything all right?” Brian asked and looked out of the window as if at any moment Will and Carl came running behind me and honestly, you never knew but I nodded.
“Yes, we can leave now.” I started the engine and looked into the review mirror.
Matt was holding Alicia close to his body, Johnny was talking to Matt about what had happened and how they found him and I saw Zack glancing at Brian and Alicia from time to time.
Alicia was quiet and only answered when someone spoke directly towards her.

After a good 30 minute drive we arrived back at Brian’s BMW at our meeting point.
It was time to part.
I stopped next to Brian’s car and shut the engine off.
They all climbed out and looked at me expectantly. Alicia was the first to come to me alone.
“Sean?” Alicia grabbed my hands in hers.
“Yeah?” I looked at her and she gave me a small smile.
“Thank you, thank you for everything. And you know that without you that night.. more would have happened… I can’t thank you enough… and now helping us escape… I don’t even know…”
“Maybe I should have hindered them at taking you in the first place, but I didn’t know about everything, I promise… I would have never…” I didn’t even know why I was saying this…
“It’s okay.”Alicia said and then Matt stood behind her leaning over her small body.
“Thank you, kid. Really, but you know that we will be calling the police as soon as we are home, right?” Matt said and stared at me.
“I know.” I sighed. I had to make a decision.
“You better not go back to that place… We have never seen you there and we escaped though that window on our own.” Matt said and I had to laugh sarcastically.
“Thanks, but it’s not that easy.”
“Why not?” Matt looked confused.
“I can’t say, but thank you… Have a nice life, I hope we will… never see each other again.” I started the engine and Matt clapped me on the back with his chained hand and then laid his arms around Alicia and pulled her away from the car.
“Come on, let’s go home.” Matt said to her and they moved towards Brian and his friends waiting in his car.

Alicia’s POV

Brian was driving and I sat in the backseat together with Johnny and Zack. I haven’t seen Matt’s friends before but he had talked so much about them that I felt that I knew them already for years.
We were silent during the drive, I didn’t know what to say and I guess Matt’s friends didn’t know what to ask, at least at first.
“Is any of you hurt? Should we drive to the hospital? Or directly to the police office?” Brian asked and looked at me through his review mirror.
I shook my head “Not hurt.”
“Matt, you?” Brian looked at Matt from the side and Matt shrugged.
“No, I’m okay.”
“Your head?” I asked Matt and he turned to me with a smile.
“Is good. Was just a small cut, it’s nearly healed, I will get it looked at tomorrow. Honestly, I just want to get home… and be finally free again.”Matt said and turned back to Brian.
“You should go to the police first.” Johnny said and looked between me and Matt back and forth.
“I agree with Matt… I just want to get home… Maybe we could call the police and make a appointment for tomorrow.. but I don’t.. I think I need a night to settle… Oh shit..” I realized I had a call from my doc more than a week ago now…
I nearly forgot that I could be ill again, that maybe only to get out of this prison would mean for me to get back to hospital…
“What? What is it?” Matt looked at me confused.
“I just… I need to make an appointment with my Doc… You remember.. what he said?” I asked Matt and didn’t want to be too obvious about my distress but suddenly Zack grabbed my hand from the side and whispered to my ear.
“Caroline took care of that. She called in to your Doc, explained the situation, you can call them as soon as you are feeling a little better and they will run some more tests. It’s nothing out yet.” He said softly and I felt my grip tighten on his hands and then I let the air out of my lungs in a huff.
“Oh.. thanks.. thank god.”
Matt looked even more confused now, “What?”
“Nothing. Caroline already managed everything.” Thank god, I had her.

“Here we are.” Brian announced and pulled up a driveway. When our car stopped the front door of the house opened and at least 10 people came running out.
I didn’t know any of them until Caroline pushed her way past them and I saw tears streaming down her cheeks, which made my eyes water as well.
As soon as I got out of the car, Matt and I were swarmed by people. Caroline was hugging me and Bradley came over as well.
Matt was swarmed by the rest of his friends they were all hugging and kissing his cheeks and he grinned and laughed and it was good to see him like that.
I wanted to get to know him and his real self outside of the Hotel room and he told me he wanted the same.
“MATT! OH Babe, thank god you are okay!! I missed you soo much!” A blonde woman pushed her way past all the people surrounding Matt and jumped into his arms. He hugged her and she kissed him, kissed him on the lips and he replied the kiss.
“OH babe, You can’t believe how much I worried… and Bella was going crazy without you.” She kissed him again and again…
I couldn’t help it and just stared at them… no girlfriend he said… was everything just a lie?!
