Hostage

Alicia’s POV

I swallowed thickly. I didn’t even know why this upset me this much, I mean I didn’t know him at all…
Even if I thought it had been different.
“Alicia? Alicia? Are you okay?” Caroline’s voice roused me from my thoughts.
“I.. yes… I think so.” I stuttered and finally I could move my eyes away from Matt and the woman.
“Alicia! Thank god, are you okay?” Bradley came towards me and hugged me.
“Yes, thank you. It’s so good to see you.” I told them with a forced smile and returned Bradley’s hug.
“Where are the kids?” I looked around and couldn’t see them.
“They are at Bradley’s parents. We didn’t know what would happen and if you would really be back.. so we thought it would be better for them to wait at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.” Caroline smiled but I knew she had her eyes on me the entire time and was analyzing me.
“Alright guys, come on let’s move inside.” Brian yelled over the crowd of people in his driveway.
“We should…” I started but Caroline shook her head.
“I spend a lot of time with Matt’s friends. They did a lot to get you guys back, believe me, they are awesome, let’s get inside…”
Caroline said and started to walk but I looked at Matt and the woman who was plastered to his side and I didn’t want to go in there… didn’t want to see them again.
What was wrong with me?!
“I’m really exhausted. Maybe we could just go home.” I asked and looked at Caroline pleading.
“I.. yes sure. But you will come over to us and sleep with us. I won’t allow for you to be alone in your apartment… And then we gotta call the police and make an appointment or we will stop right by on our way and then we-” Caroline was talking non-stop and I had to smile. I had missed her so bad.
“Caro, stop it. We will do all that, but… could you.. go inside and tell Brian or someone that we are leaving… I will call the police and… that would be it..” I asked and Caroline looked deeply into my eyes and finally nodded.

Bradley took my elbow and brought me to the car when I saw Zack running towards us.
“Wait. Where are you going?” Zack asked and stopped me with a hand to my arm.
“I will go get the car, alright?” Bradley said and walked slowly away.
“I’m exhausted I need to go home… I just asked Caroline to inform you guys. I will call the police later and tomorrow I will go there and make a statement about what happened.” I told him but he didn’t seem satisfied.
“But we want to celebrate that you are back… I mean… you can’t just leave.” Zack seemed to think about something but didn’t say more.
“I’m really grateful for everything you did… Caroline said you all put a lot of work in it but honestly, I just want to get home and spend time with my friends and… forget everything…” I thought back to Matt and the girl and really meant everything.
How could I be so stupid and think that Matt really wanted to spent time with me… to get to know me…
Why didn’t he say that he had a girlfriend? Why did he sleep with me? Why?
“Alicia?” Zack frowned at me.
“Sorry… I… What did you say?” I asked again.
“Don’t worry.. Maybe we could talk tomorrow or something?” He asked and I nodded.
“Sure, yes.” I nodded and Bradley parked the car next to me and I climbed inside and Zack turned away and went back inside to his friends.
A moment later Caroline came back out and we drove off and I guess I would never see this house and people again.

Matt’s POV

I was so happy to see all my friends again when Brian had parked the car in his driveway, I couldn’t get out fast enough.
Before everyone could greet me Johnny was already out of the car and brought an electronic plier and cut the small metal band between my chains. Since he didn’t have the keys, at least I could move my arms normally, even if the chains were dangling now on both of my wrists.
When he was done I looked up and saw Arin and Lacey, Chelle, Jason and Matt and I couldn’t wait to really kiss the earth beneath my feet.
I looked over at Alicia and she was standing next to me, just had just climbed out of the car, I guess she was so also searching for her friends and a young woman pushed her way to the front and I saw Alicia eyes water.
“Caroline” she whispered. I smiled when she hugged her friends and I did the same with mine.

All my friends were swarming around me hugging and kissing me when I heard a familiar voice from the back.
“MATT! OH Babe, thank god you are okay!! I missed you soo much!”Val cam running from the back to me and I wanted to hug her like all the others but she just jumped into my arms and kissed me.
I was startled by her sudden move and held her in my arms but didn’t return her kiss. I guess she was just happy to see me and was worried about me.
I gently pushed her away but she didn’t get of my arms so I just held her there and tried to answer all the questions directed at me, when Val interrupted me again and began to kiss my cheeks and lips again and again.
“OH babe, You can’t believe how worried I was… and Bella was going crazy without you.” Val said and hugged me close.
I slowly let her slide down my body and thought about my dog. Damn, thank god she had been with Val and not alone in my home.
“Oh damn Bella… shit thank god she was with you.” I looked at Val and she had tears in her eyes.
“Hey Val… don’t cry. I’m fine really.” I told her and whisked her tears away.
We haven’t parted on the best conditions with our break or well break up and then my disappearance so I didn’t have the chance to talk to her properly.
“Alright guys, come on let’s move inside.” Brian yelled and we all walked together into his living room.
I tried to look around but couldn’t see Alicia anywhere.
“Matt? Are you alright, can I get you something to drink?” Val tugged on my side and I looked at her.
“No, thanks.. I’m okay. Did you see where-”
“Hey Matt! Here, look at this-” Johnny yelled and I walked away from Val and to Johnny, still my eyes searching for Alicia.
Then I saw Brian talking to Caroline and she went out of the door.
“Wait a sec.” I told Johnny and moved over to Brian.
“What did she tell you?” I asked Brian when I stood next to him.
“Oh, she just wanted to let us know that Alicia wants to go home, she is pretty exhausted understandably and they bring her home.” Brian said and looked around.
“Oh dude, if this is too much for you, too. Just tell me I will throw everybody out.”
“Wait. She went home? She can’t just go home. They were in her apartment, they know where she is living… I mean…” Thoughts were running in my head and I tried to think of a way to protect her, my home wouldn’t be good either.
“Matt, calm down. She will stay at Caroline and Brad’s. They will be with her, they won’t let her be alone. She told me she will call the police later and make an appointment for tomorrow. You should do the same, by the way.” I nodded.
“Yeah, right. I.. don’t even know where she is living… don’t have her number…” I tried to think… but my head felt so heavy and my mind was clouded.
I should sit down for a while.
“Matt, are you okay? You look pale?” Brian asked and I swayed a little.
“Yes, I guess I should sit down for a bit… too much action for me today.” I said and Brian helped me to the couch.
