No Strings Attached

Brian's POV

The last few days with Jess have been amazing. We went shopping for Mel and I bought a cute onsie for her that said 'Daddy's Little Angel' because she already is. We watched movies and tried our best to avoid fans, but they always managed to find us. We also had dinner with my parents as well as hers. We also started talking about the
wedding.

"Babe? I was looking at venues and there's this really cute place that's by the beach. How does that sound?" Jess asked me as I sat down beside her on the couch.

"Whatever you want, but I think that sounds pretty cool." She kissed the corner of my mouth and snuggled into my arms while I pulled her close to me.

"You leave tomorrow again. Where's the next show?"

"I have to fly out to Arizona. The show is in Phoenix." She sighed loudly, rubbing her belly.

"You look really beautiful when you're pregnant. Maybe I should knock you up some more." She threw her head back in laughter, grinning at me.

"Nuh uh, Haner. No more kids for a while." My heart broke a little.

"Why not? I want to have a lot of kids with you." I pouted and received a glare from her. It's true though. I want to have as many kids as I can with her. I want all of our kids to look like their mother and the same loving personality. I don't want them to end up like me. "What if I'm a shitty dad? What if I'm never there for them because I'm always on tour?"

"Brian, do you really think I'd let you be a shitty dad? I'd kill you myself if you were half-assing it. Look, Avenged won't always be touring. I'm sure you guys will put a few more albums and tour a little more but you'll always come back home to Mel and I. I'm one-hundred percent sure that Matt and Val will have a kid too. Don't worry. You'll be an amazing dad. If not, I'll strangle you in your sleep. Got it?

Laughing at her, I said,"Yes ma'am. I love you, Jessica."

"I love you too. Now come on. Rub my feet and take me upstairs and make sweet love to me."

"Your wish is my command." I swooped her up in my arms and ran up the stairs and into the bedroom to make love to my fiancée.

"Ready? The cab is here. " Jess asked me from the doorway, her hands rubbing her belly. I nodded and took one last look at our bedroom. I won't see it until a few more months.

Picking my bag up off the bed, I swung it over my shoulder and walked downstairs with Jess. I'm going to miss her like crazy, now more than ever.

"Can I tell you something?" I asked her. She stopped what she was doing so she could listen. "Matt was saying we might add on another two months so we can hit the places we've never been before. That means I won't be back until about a week before you go into labor."

"What?! Why didn't you tell me before?" She said, trying not to raise her voice and get angry.

"I didn't know when or how to tell you. But it's not definite yet. I will know when I get back and I'll call you as soon as I find out any news. Cool?" She sighed, but smiled at me and I think I might have been forgiven. I pulled her into my arms and kissed her head.

"I'll miss you, baby. Keep yourself busy and take care of our baby girl."

"Don't worry, Bri. I got her under control. No need to worry." Jess said and kissed me. Her lips were so soft, so plump that I wanted to kiss her every second of every day.

"I will always worry about you and Mel. I love the both of you so much. Take it easy on momma, Mel. I'll see you two soon. My baby girls." I whispered that last part as I hugged Jess and nuzzled my face into her vanilla scented hair.

"I love you, Brian. Behave and come back to me." I kissed her one last time before grabbing my bags and walking out towards the cab that would take me to the airport. As I got in the cab, Jess stood at the door with a sad smile on her face and waving me goodbye for now.

When I finally arrived in Phoenix, the guys were all at a hotel and the girls decided to head back to keep Jess company. The next show wasn't until the evening, so I had a few hours to kill with the guys.

"Syn! You're back dude! How is Jess and our niece?" Matt asked, passing me a much needed beer.

"She's good. Both of them are fine. She has a check-up appointment tomorrow." I took a swig of the beer and tilted my head back, feeling the cold liquid run down my throat. I haven't had a beer in a while. "Anyways, what are we doing today?"

"Jimmy, Johnny, Zacky, the Berrys, and Dan all went to the zoo. Val and the girls left so it looks like it's just me and you today. What do you want to do?" Matt said.

"I'm going to call Jess and just hang out in my room. I'll see you guys later on for sound check. Cool?" I asked Matt.

"Okay. See you later and dude, you'll see Jess soon."

"That reminds me. Two months added on?" Matt sighed and I already knew the answer. I wasn't going to see Jess for a long time.

Turning on my heel, I took out my hotel room key and walked over to my room, which was right down the hallway from Matt's. I can't be on tour for another 4 months. I want to be at home with Jess and Mel. I want to be there for Jess when she needs me to be. How will I last without seeing her for another 4 months?

Talking another sip of my beer, I opened the sliding door and sat on the chair, taking out my phone and looking for Jess' number. I've only been away from her for only a few hours and I miss her like crazy. This past week was the only time I was able to see her while I am on tour.

"Brian? You landed already?" Her sweet voice made me smile.

"Yeah. I landed about an hour ago. I'm actually at the hotel room missing you like crazy already." I chuckled the same time Jess did. "I miss you, babygirl."

"I miss you too. What did Matt say?" My heart dropped into my stomach, making me queasy.

"Uh...Matt said another two months to check out more places and maybe go overseas for a bit. That part still isn't confirmed." I heard her sigh and sniffle. My heart broke. "Don't cry, babygirl. I know this isn't what you wanted and it isn't what I wanted. I wanted to just be done with this tour and come home to you and watch our baby grow. I'm sorry. Please don't cry. You want me to get Jimmy in here to say something stupid to make you laugh? Or do you want me to shove Johnny into a wall or something?"

She laughed loudly and sniffled again. "No, I'll be okay for now. I won't see you until another 4 months? Brian, that's too close to my due date. Are you going to be back in time?"

"I will leave the middle of touring if I have to. I will be there. I promise." From inside the hotel room, I heard a loud bang on my door and someone yell something. "Babe, I have to go. We are heading over to sound check. I'll call you after the show. I love you, babe."

"I love you too. I'll be waiting for your call. Good luck out there." I hung up and walked out to the hallway to head on over to sound check. After hanging up, I made my way over to the door and answered it. Johnny, Jimmy, and Zacky were all at my door.

"It's time to fuck shit up, Syn!" Johnny exclaimed. Jimmy and Zacky high fived each other.

"Shut up, short shit. Let's just get these next four months of touring over with." I grumbled and shoved them out of my way. I know that was mean, but I didn't care. All I wanted to do was finish touring and get back to my girls.
