I Lost Me Long Ago

I woke up, after what felt like weeks of sleeping. I felt around in the bed, looking for Matt. When I didn't immediately find him I rolled over to look at the clock.

2:34PM

Matt was well into his interview by now. I traced patterns on the ceiling for a little while and let out a small sigh.

"Now what?" I know he would be upset if he came back and didn't find me.

I crawled out of the bed and walked to the long mirror next to the dresser. At some point in time I managed to crawl out of my legging and out of my shirt. I was standing in front of the mirror in my bra and panties.

Quickly I realized I didn't remember us turning in for the night! I turned completely red, crimson in fact.

"God I hope not!"

I would like to at least remember my first time!

Minus the fact that this is NOT how I wanted it! I would like to at least remember it. Not too much to ask, is it!

I looked down at the dresser and to find a envelope with my name written on it.

I had the interview, as you well know. Inside the envelope I have left you a little cash to pick up food, clothes, or whatever you might like. I also picked you up a spare key, so you will find that with the cash.

Hopefully won't be gone too long!

I smiled stupidly at the letter for a while, blushing a bit even. Then I pulled the money and key out of the envelope.

"$500! WHAT THE HELL TYPE OF FOOD AM I BUYING!"

I quickly re-read the letter and stared at the word clothes.

Okay what kind of clothes was he expecting me to get. I could buy most of my clothes with this amount of money.

I shook my head and shoved all of it back into its home.

I quickly turned around and ran my eyes across the room in search of my phone. Which I quickly remembered I never plugged up last night. But as I realized it my eyes landed on it on the night stand on Matt's side of the bed.

It felt so amazing to say that.

I softly sighed as I crossed the room and picked up my phone. I had a few text message, a few missed calls, and voice mails. They would probably be from Aerynn or Josh. Most likely Aerynn.

Who would be ranting in all the the voice mails about how I didn't call or text when I got home or once I woke up.

EXCUSE ME BUT WHY HAVE YOU NOT CALLED

YOU BETTER GET UP WITH ME AS SOON AS YOUR ASS WAKES THE FUCK UP

IT IS NOON YOU HAVE NOT GOT UP WITH ME I AM CALLING THE POLICE

Those were all of Aerynn's texts. Lucky me I knew she wasn't really calling the cops on me for this. There was also one from Josh, and one from Matt.

Just please call me tomorrow when you're ready, so I know you are okay.

I sighed and just stared at his message for a moment or two.

I also have your number. You can't hide. Also I know $500 is a lot, but I figured you probably needed clean clothes, and you probably wanted to eat. Maybe even pick up stuff to shower.

Admittedly I would like my own stuff to shower with. Hotel products always suck. Ruins my hair for a week and then it never really feels the same.

Sorry Aerynn, my phone as been dead. I'm okay, I stayed the night with Matt. I will call you soon, call off the hounds.

I wasn't ready for 20 questions with her, she'd want every detail, the whole story. As far as I was concerned this story had barely started, no need to tell her something when I can't even give her a good ending. It would just give her 100 more questions, all of which the answer would be, I don't know.

I wouldn't get away with a simple text to Josh, so I called. It didn't take long for him to answer, maybe half a ring passed before I heard his voice.

"Carsea?!"

"Hi, Josh." He was worried, overly worried. As he always is about me.

"Oh thank God!" He waited a moment to see if I would say anything else, to gauge just how mad I might still be. "I'm glad you're okay. I'm glad you called, thank you for that."

"Josh..."

"Ah! Tsk, tsk, tsk! No apologies. Look we both know where we both wrong at in the matter. I don't need to hear your apologies. I know you didn't mean any of it."

"Josh, you know I have to say it." I could hear him smile through the phone.

"I know you're sorry, Carsea. I forgive you."

"I forgive you too!"

"I know you do. Jacob mentioned seeing a girl throwing a tantrum in the elevator on his way back to me right after you left."

"Was that the sleep deprived looking intern's name! Poor thing do you just torment the hell out of all of them! Poor baby didn't look like he had slept in weeks!" Josh laughed then cleared his throat.

"If he doesn't sleep when he is home that's not on me."

"You have to let him go home for that to happen you know." I loved teasing him. Josh could work for quite a while without sleep. Much longer than the normal person.

He always seemed to forget that when it came to his interns.

"So got, Matt wrapped around your finger already?"

"Hush!"

"Well you can't be saying that because he is with you. His sitting in my interview room as we speak. Actually he is waiting for he to slip back in."

"Oh! You're working! I'll let you go then! I'm okay, that's all you wanted to know."

"Be safe."

With that I hung up. I looked around the room for a bit before deciding what I wanted to do. Seems what Matt had in mind for me while he was in interview sounded pretty damn good. Clean clothes, a nice shower, & food. Least I knew how to waste some time so I didn't go crazy waiting for him.

I managed to get it posted before I went to bed. Only problem is its 2:40AM.

Ugh, but I'm possibly going out of town this weekend so I wanted to get it posted before I left tomorrow. So no one had to wait longer than needed.

So I hope you all enjoy. Its more of a filler chapter but anyway.
