Brians Pov
We got back to Zackys house and had already left with her friends so we watched Batman for a while. Eventually Zacky fell asleep, his head on my lap smiling slightly in his sleep. I stroked his hair absent-mindedly getting lost in my thoughts. I was brought out of my trance by the front door slamming shut.
“Zacky, honey, are you home?” Jimmy called like a housewife.
“Dude shhh he’s asleep” I said as he walked into the living room.
“No im not” Zacky smiled mischievously.
“So I sat in a really fucking uncomfortable position so you could sleep and you weren’t even sleeping?” I said slightly annoyed.
“Yeah pretty much!” Zacky laughed along with Jimmy.
“Fuck you” I said moving my legs so he would fall onto the floor at my feet. He led on the floor laughing even harder now.
“Ow!” He exclaimed rubbing the back of his head. I extended my arm so he could pull himself up. He clasped onto my hand and yanked me down so I tumbled on top of him.
“Oh hey” I said inches away from Zacky’s face.
“Hi” He said pecking my lips.
“Fuck yeah pile on!” Jimmy said throwing himself onto the heap that was me and Zacky. We both grunted in pain as jimmy landed on top of us.
“I think you just burst my spleen!” Zacky laughed.
“What the fuck is a spleen?” Jimmy said still lying on top of us.
“I don’t know but it hurts” Zacky said making me laugh. We heard the front door open and close and a few moments later Matt, M.B, Lily and Phoebe walked in.
“Woah you’re having an orgy without me!” Lily exclaimed making us all laugh.
“Matt, get your lanky shit of a boyfriend off me or so help me god I will snap him like the twig he is!” I threatened.
“Dude, if you hurt him I’ll break your face” Matt laughed pulling Jimmy off me. I clambered off Zacky and flopped onto the couch.
“I can breathe!” He exclaimed throwing his hands in the air.
“So anyways we came here to see if you maybe wanted to hang out” Phoebe said.
“Yeah cool” Zacky smiled sitting next to me on the couch.
“Shall we?” M.B said extending his hand to Lily like a gentleman.
“We shall” She said like a posh English person standing up and taking his hand. We all stood up and followed Lily out of the front door Zacky locking it behind us.
“Dude, I wanna go see the ducks!” Jimmy exclaimed
“Oh my god same I love ducks!” Phoebe exclaimed
“They’re so cute and all like ‘waddle waddle!’” Lily said pretending to be a duck making M.B laugh.
“Dude your girlfriend is fucking mad!” Matt said to M.B making him laugh. Lily stopped and smiled at M.B before kissing him on the cheek then quacking really loudly.
“Fuck and she’s loud!” Phoebe said laughing. Phoebe, Lily and Jimmy all ran off making quacking noises and flapping their arms like wings.
“People are gonna think they’re from an asylum” M.B laughed.
“Especially Phoebs I mean damn that girl can flap!” I said watching as the three of them were jumping and flapping their arms trying to fly. I laughed and grasped Zacky’s hand. He looked down at our hands then back to me and smiled running forward following the others. Matt and M.B walked behind us sighing at how crazy their significant others are. We wandered to the park and Lily and Phoebe squealed when they saw the ducks.
“They’re so cute!!” Lily exclaimed walking slowly over to them.
“C’mere fucking stallion duck!” Jimmy shouted chasing a long necked duck.
“Jimmy, that isn’t a duck! That’s a Canada goose!” Phoebe said.
“No it’s a stallion duck!” Jimmy pouted folding his arms over his chest like a small child. “Mattie, Phoebe said that I was wrong and she said I smell!”
“No I never!” Phoebe said back like a child. Eventually Jimmy, Lily and Phoebe were arguing like small children. After a while M.B got involved pretending to be saving Lily from a bully. Me and Zacky watched the scene from a space under the tree laughing. God I love our friends. Jimmy shoved Lily slightly pretending to be upset about what phoebe had said and Lily toppled over laughing as she hit the floor. M.B walked over to her laughing also and tried pulling her up but Lily wasn’t moving. She pulled on his arm trying to get him to lay down next to her.
“Dude fucking lay down!” She said pulling his arm harder.
“No, You aren’t my momma!” He said .
“Ew babe, that would be incest.” Lily laughed. “Pwease!” She said putting on a puppy dog face.
“Fine!” He said finally when we all knew he was going to anyway. He led down on the floor next to her staring up at the sky holding her hand. Jimmy sat down next to them followed by Matt and Phoebe.
“It’s a pretty day” I said to no one in particular.
“Yeah” Everyone agreed.
“Brian babe?” Zacky whispered next to me.
“Yeah?” I whispered back.
“I love you” He smiled at me.
“I love you too” I smiled back.
“You sure?” He said mock seriousness on his face.
“Yeah, okay?” I replied
“Okay” He laughed.
“Fine” I said looking at the sky.
“Fine” He laughed acting like a teenage girl.
“Are you twelve?” Matt laughed.
“Well I didn’t want to tell you guys like this but.. Im a 12 year old girl!” Zacky sniffed sitting up holding back his laughter. Lily gasped in “Shock” and she clutched her heart and pretending to faint.
“NOOOO-!” M.B yelled holding Lily to his chest as she shook with laughter. “Shh” He said nudging her
“Sorry” She whispered still shaking, everyone erupted into laughter.
“OOOOOOOOOOO” He carried on making us laugh even harder. To be honest Lily and M.B suited each other perfectly they were both complete children and it was funny just to watch them.
Zacky’s pov
“You killed her!” M.B pretended to sob, passers-by were becoming concerned and were watching us warily which only made it funnier.
“I didn’t, It was another!” I said like those cheesy soap actors.
“It was I” Phoebe said standing up, I tried to remain serious but it was all too funny.
“Why would you do this?” Matt said dropping Lily who was still giggling like an idiot and walking over to phoebe.
“Because I’m pregnant!” She said gazing into the distance. M.B gasped and Matt lost it and started laughing so hard he was crying.
“What does that have to do with killing the love of my life?” He said dramatically.
“I had a craving for lemonade! And she drank the last can!” Phoebe said in mock anger. This time M.B lost it and we were all in fits of laughter. When the laughter had died down we decided to go to the store and get one of those disposable barbeques and some burgers. We all sat around the little fire watching the sun go down eating charred burgers. It was nice, just being with your friends.
“Ugh we have to go to school in two days!” Lily said breaking the silence.
“Yeah that sucks!” I replied nestling into Brian who was led on the floor.
“Can’t every day be like this?” Phoebe said laying her head on Jimmy’s stomach who was lying next to Matt.
“In a few weeks it can be” Brian said optimistically.
“Yeah but then after 7 weeks it’s over” Matt sighed closing his eyes. We all sat there in silence for a while just thinking.
“Zacky?” Phoebe asked me.
“Yeah?” I said looking at her.
“What did you wanna be when you grew up?” She said.
“What like what I wanted to be when I was a kid?” I asked confused. She nodded and sat up.
“Well I wanted to be a fireman until I was like 6 then I realised I had a passion for music and so I started to learn how to play guitar,” I said
“Same!” Lily said muffled into M.B’s shirt. “And I wanted to be rich and get laid but I do love music” She laughed making us all chuckle.
“What about you Matt?” Brian asked beside me.
“Same as Zacky but singing, Jimmers?”
“Drummer” he said simply. “Brian?”
“Maybe a studio artist” He shrugged.
“Like I said you guys could start a band” Lily said
“Yeah but we would need a bass player” Matt pointed out.
“What about my brother?” She suggested. “As much as I hate him he’s good at bass” She added
“Maybe, I don’t know” Matt shrugged wrapping his arm around Jimmy.
“Might as well try huh” Phoebe said.
“Maybe in summer” I said and we fell back into silence.
“Hey guys” Lily’s brother Johnny said approaching us.
“What Johnny?” Lily sighed
“Can I hang with you guys?” He asked kinda shyly.
“Sure whatever” She shrugged and he sat down next to Phoebe and they began talking. After a few hours it was completely pitch black and we all decided to head home.

“Zacky?” Brian asked me as we led on my bed surrounded by dirty laundry.
“Mmhh?” I said rubbing my eyes and yawning.
“Can I stay here tonight?” He said nuzzling his face in my chest.
“Of course you can” I said wrapping my arm around him and closing my eyes.
“Zacky?” He whispered again
“Yeah?”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah” I said as Brian sat up and looked me in the eye.
“Are we gonna go further than this?” He asked playing with his fingers.
“In what way?” I said slightly confused.
“Like is this just gonna be some high school romance that goes nowhere?” He said fumbling with the edge of his shirt.
“I don’t want it too Brian I really can’t see myself with anyone else” I said as he led back onto the bed.
“Okay I was ju- yeah” He said softly as I cuddled into him.
“We’d be the best parents ever” I laughed.
“Yeah we would be pretty awesome” He smiled. I rested my head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat. I wasn’t really that tired and I’d been lying here in silence for what felt like an hour
“Brian?” I whispered into the darkness.
“What?” He yawned back.
“Hey” I said laughing slightly.
“Hi, dork” He said back poking my stomach and readjusting himself.
“I can’t sleep” I mumbled into his shirt.
“That’s cool” Brian yawned closing his eyes.
“Brian!” I whined extremely bored.
“What!” He replied annoyed.
“Hi” I laughed at his change in mood.
“Fuck off!” Brian said throwing the pillow at me.
