Right Where I Belong

Jimmy’s POV

Shit, I was so fucking angry but on the same time I was so tired couldn’t really keep my eyes open and I still had an hour drive ahead of me.
But I needed to get to Brian and see if Elise was there and what happened between them… or what was this all about?!
Damn, why must have been my phone empty right at this awful moment.

I pulled over at the nearest gas station.
“Hello, one large coffee black.”
The clerk looked at me a little irritated and didn’t do anything.
“NOW” I barked. Shit, I didn’t have myself under control.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.. I had an horrible day.”
“Yeah, alright. Here, it’s on me.”
“Wow, thanks man. Is there a chance I could use your phone?”
“Sure, if it’s not an hour call.” He handed me his cell phone and I tried to type in Brian’s phone number by memory.
Nothing, shit.
How was his fucking number? That is the problem nowadays, you don’t memorize this shit anymore.
I tried again and exchanged a few numbers, still nothing. FUCK OFF!

Okay, one last attempt.
Matt. Matt’s number was the same since years, that I might recall.
It rang… oh please be right, please…
“Fuck! Who is that?” Matt grumbled into the phone, that I wasn’t really sure if it was him.
“Matt?” It must be him but I still asked.
“Jimmy? What is that for a number? And why are you calling me in the middle of the night? ...Babe? Who is it?” I heard Jess voice a little quieter than his.
“It’s Jimmy. Go back to sleep babe. What’s going on?”
“Shit, I know it’s in the middle of the night. I need your help, man.”
“You know you just have to ask, how can we help?” Matt asked and sounded like he was getting out of bed already.
“I need you to drive to Brian, right now and check if Elise is there and… what happened there and I hope I will arrive there in about 60 min. and fuck man… I don’t know… I…“ Fuck, I felt like crying.
“Where are you Jimmy? What happened?” Matt asked again.
“Can’t explain that right now. Can you just drive there and knock so long on his door until he opens up and see if Elise is there… and then wait for me.”
I hung up and deleted the last number I called.
“Thank you, man.”
“No, problem.”
I walked out and sat down in my car. I put my head on my steering wheel and breathed deeply in and out before I started the engine again.

Matt’s POV

“Was that Jimmy? What does he want?” Jess asked me.
“Yes, it was Jimmy, please get dressed, babe. We gotta visit Brian, now.“
“You mean right now, because Matt… It’s after 2. I mean I am just sayin’.”
“Don’t ask me, I know. But he said we should drive there and get Brian to let us in and wait there for him, and I know Jimmy, he sounded… not like himself. But babe if you wanna keep the bed warm for me until I come back I have no problem with that.” I smiled at my Jess and kissed her and kissed her a little longer and I let my hand wander under the blanket to her naked thigh and higher and-
“Matty? We should go.. now.“ Jess stopped my hand with hers.
Damn, yeah she was right.
“Alright alright.”

After 30 minutes we both stood dressed at Brian’s door and I knocked and rang the doorbell. And knocked some more… What a deep sleep this guy must have… Damn it…
I knocked some more… and more… I couldn’t yell, the whole neighborhood must be awake from my knocking by now but not our dear friend Brian.

And I wanted a real good explanation from him and Jimmy, why I was here at all and not in my bed with Jess, I could think of so many other lovely things I could do right now.
I looked at her, she seemed to shiver and I took my jacket off and laid it around her shoulders.
She smiled sweetly and I kissed her again, “Love you, babe.”
“Love you, too. Sorry for having to keep up with my stupid ass friends.” I said with a smile.
But I knew that she liked them nearly as much as me.
“You know that it’s my pleasure to be part of the gang.” She laughed.
“Come on, is there a second entrance or something? We need to get in here soon or we both catch a cold…”
“Yeah, fuck…” I grabbed her hand and pulled her after me and we went around the house.

Elise POV

I heard some loud noise, I really must have fallen asleep. The banging again…
Oh god, where am I and who is this?!
My heart was beating so fast, I had a hard time catching my breath.
I opened my eyes carefully and looked around, Brian’s guestroom. I was at Brian’s, yes. But what was this noise?
I looked around and thought about turning the lights on or not…
I decided against it and slowly got out of bed in the dark and made my way quietly to my door.
I opened it and went over to Brian’s bedroom door, didn’t he hear the knocking and all the noise?
It had stopped now, but it was so loud before, he must have heard it.
Are some kids trying to fool us?! But in the middle of the night?

I knocked on Brian’s door but there was no sound, I opened it and walked into his bedroom.
It was dark and I ran into a small table and hit my foot on it.
“Oouuch..” I tried to be quiet and hopped on one leg. Damn it, that hurts.
I walked slowly forward again and I finally felt a soft surface underneath my fingers that must be Brian’s bed.
“Brian?” I said and let my hands move over the bed until I felt a smooth skin underneath my fingers I jerked back.
Shit, was he naked?!
“Brian??” I said a little louder.
But he didn’t react, damn it was he in coma?!
I sat down on the bed and let my hand wander back to the skin and wanted to shake his shoulders to finally wake him up but suddenly a hand grabbed me from behind and holstered me up in the air.
“NOOOOOO!!” I screamed and tried to kick and get away from whoever it was, but he was stronger.

Matt’s POV

I grabbed the girl on Brian’s bed and Jess turned the lights on. I looked at her and was astonished, What the fuck is going on here?!
“ELISE?!”
I let her down and she looked at me with big eyes.
“Matt? Jess?”

Finally Brian was awake too and looking between all of us back and forth?
“What are you all doing here in my bedroom, were you planning an orgy and didn’t invite me or what?”
“Really Brian? You think now is the time for jokes? Will you rather explain what is going on here?” I said and glanced at him with an annoyed look. Elise in Brian’s bedroom? Did Jimmy know that there was something going on here?
“Me? I should explain? I would rather you explain what you are doing in my house?” Brian said and sat up.
Thank god, he was wearing a Boxer short this time. I turned to look at Jess she just looked back at me and Brian with a smile on her lips.
“Alright. I want to know what you are doing here now!” I said finally.
“I was sleeping apparently.” Brian said with his cocky attitude.
“And why was Elise in your bed?” Jess asked softly looking at Elise.
“She was not in my bed.“ Brian and Elise said in unison, “I was not in his bed.”
“This looked different to us.” Matt said and Jess nodded reassuringly.

“What are you doing here anyway?” Brian asked with a frown, “And how did you get in?”
“Didn’t you hear us knocking and ringing the fucking doorbell like a hundredth time??” I asked him, I couldn’t believe this guy.
“No, I wear earplugs most of the time, so no fucking phone or any shit will disturb my sleep.” Brian said as matter of fact.
I would have laughed if we wouldn’t have been standing in the cold so long.
“Elise, what were you doing here?” I asked her and turned her way, she looked so fragile and shy, I just hoped she had a good explanation.
“I heard your banging on the door and was afraid… I didn’t know who or what that was… so I went from my guest room here to wake Brian… I didn’t… we didn’t…” She looked away.
“And why are you here? Jimmy called us and he seemed out of it…” I explained.
“Jimmy called? I tried to reach him the whole fucking evening, how did he contact you?” Brian asked with a frown.
“I called from a gas station.” Jimmy stood suddenly in the doorframe of Brian’s bedroom and looked at Elise.
Now this was getting interesting…
