Right Where I Belong

Jimmy’s POV

The knock sounded again, “Mrs. Gregs? Mrs. Warren? Are you there? I heard some voices. It’s after 10 please be quiet now.”
I looked down on Sam and she smiled at me evilly. She touched her hand to my belly and then underneath my shirt and stroked my skin.
I was about to open my mouth and call her off, but the voice from the other side sounded again, “Mrs. Gregs?? I will come in now, if you…”
“No, it’s alright. I will be quiet but…” she stopped.
Was she about to say that Elise wasn’t here, god the feeling of wanting to strangle her was getting worst but I kept my hands to myself.
“But what, Mrs. Gregs?” the voice sounded again.
I looked at Sam and she smiled even wider, ‘What do you want?’ I mouthed.
“Meet the others.”
‘NO WAY’
“All of them.” She smiled friendly at me, “A nice meet and greet with the boys.”
She turned to the door and yelled, “Nothing. It’s fine in here. I just thought I heard a noise. Thank you.”
“Alright, you keep the volume down now, alright.”
“Sure, Madame.”

I waited a little more then pushed myself away from that bitch and looked at her.
“What do you want from me? A fucking meet and greet? Don’t you have other things to worry about?!” I asked her trying to be as quiet as I could while my insides were still churning.
“Like I said. Deal? Or I won’t tell you anything about Elise and I will tell our principal that precious Elise was not here tonight, what you think Rev, will they kick her out for not obeying the rules so shortly before her Graduation, that would really suck, right?”
I couldn’t believe this… really couldn’t.
“Fuck you.”
“Alright, then I will call right now…” She grabbed for the phone. Gods, damn it…
“Okay. Deal.”
“Fine.”

Samantha walked back to her bed and patted the place next to her but I chose to stand before Elise bed.
“You should better sit down when I tell you what Elise planned for this evening.”
“Spit it out, fast.”

Brian’s POV

We arrived at my house and Elise was asleep. Jimmy still hadn’t called me back.
I climbed out of the car and I tried to call Jimmy’s home phone.
After the 8th ring Zacky annoyed voice sounded, “Gods damn it Haner, its after midnight, what the fuck?”
“Is Jimmy there?”
“No. I haven’t seen him, why?”
“Shit, I can’t reach his mobile. Alright, if he comes back tell him to call me first thing.”
“Yeah man, now let me sleep.” Zack hung up.

Fuck, Jimmy… Where are you?!
I ran around the car and opened the passenger door and debated on waking Elise or carrying her inside. But I still needed to know what was going on with her, Jimmy and this Collin guy.
“Elise… hey… Elise.. Wake up.”
She sighed softly and murmured “James?”
“No, it’s me Brian. We are at my home. Come on inside.” She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me then she seemed to remember what happened and looked away again.

I held my hand towards her and we walked to my front door. I opened and led her to the living room.
“Sit down, I’m gonna make us coffee. And you gonna tell me what’s wrong then…”
“Okay.” She sat down and I made the coffee, pushed a cup in her hand when it was done and sat myself down beside her.
“Now, tell me what’s wrong. Start right at the beginning…”
“I don’t know…” She sighed again and looked so sad and helpless and I felt bad for having to push her, but I needed to know what’s wrong, or I couldn’t help?!
“Elise, please. You can tell me, and if you want me to I swear, I won’t tell Jimmy what happened. But you gotta promise that you will talk to him afterwards…”
“He will hate me…”
“No, he won’t. Come on, tell me what happened…”
“Alright… But it’s embarrassing...”
“Come on, I am Brian Haner Jr. I am an expert in embarrassment, you know who my father is right?”
“Actually.. no.”
“The guitar guy form… anyway.. that’s not the point… now tell me.”
“So… I was insecure in having Sex with Jimmy, because I am a.. I’m innocent. But Jimmy was nothing but sweet and patient with me and he said he loved me and I wanted to but still was afraid… I know you don’t understand this but…”
“It’s alright. I won’t judge, just keep going.”
She breathed deeply in and out, “When I was at college, Samantha my roommate she told me all the things you guys did and living the rockstar live and everything… whoring around, no offense…”
“Yeah, well..” I smiled a little.
“And she told me that Jimmy had a pretty.. well… reputation about girl’s and he wouldn’t wait long for me if I didn’t… you know… sleep with him, he will find himself someone who would do it..”
“WHAT? What is that for a friend who tells you shit like that?” I nearly yelled.
“She is not really my friend… but it sounded so plausible. My brother also had warned me of getting hurt… So last Saturday I wanted to.. you know.. have sex with him. And we nearly did it, god this is embarrassing…”
“But he stopped you, right?” I asked her softly.
“Yes… and I don’t know why. Why didn’t he just take it…? And on the next morning I heard you talking to him, that he would have done it if I wasn’t a virgin and that me being one would make everything complicated.”
“NO, what? You were there? Did you hear all of it?” Shit, I haven’t thought about our little talk in Jimmy’s kitchen. And she just picked one moment to listen and make her conclusion.
“After that I left, didn’t want to hear more…”
“Elise, then you missed the most important part that he said. He said he loved you and that you make him happy. That you wanted to give him the most precious gift, the first time to make love to you. He told me he stopped the other night, because he wanted to make it special for you… like you deserve it. Not because he didn’t want you, god Elise how could you think something like that?!”
I was really shocked, damn Jimmy didn’t you talk to her after that?!
I shook my head, Jimmy got a lot of explaining to do.

Jimmy’s POV

“You told her what?” I asked her and my heart began to race.
“I didn’t tell her anything, she came up with the idea, herself. I just told her I would keep my quiet if she wanted to go…” Samantha shrugged.
“I… Where did she go?” I stood up again, during the explaining what Elise wanted to do I dropped myself on her bed.
She thought I didn’t want her, because she was a virgin? How could she think that?
God, I loved her… and she thought I didn’t want her… Damn it. I needed to find her before it was too late.
“WHERE?”
“Sssshhh…. Or they come running in here.” Samantha said quietly and I looked at the clock shit it was after midnight.
“She told me she didn’t want just any guy she didn’t know… but she didn’t say with whom.” She shrugged her shoulder as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
“What do you mean, she didn’t say? She must have said something…”
My heart squeezed painfully, at the image of Elise kissing someone else and when I thought about her giving her innocence away to somebody, I knew my knees would buckle if I wouldn’t be sitting down I would have fallen to the floor.
Damn, why would she do something like that?

“Alright… I need to make a call, where is the phone?” I asked and Sam must have seen how furious I was right now so she quit playing any games. I grabbed the phone and called my voicemail to hear the messages left for me.
“First Message: Man.. it’s me Matt. You asked for the Graduation party of Elise, me and Jess will come. Count us in. Talk later, Bye.”
“Second Message: Dude, me and Kim are at your house, we should inform you this time… don’t know if you charged your phone, but can’t blame me now, cause I called.”
Gods, Damn it all these unnecessary Information first.
“Third Message: Hey man, call me when you get this.” Brian’s voice.
“Fourth Message: You really should call me, something happened here with Elise, man. We really should talk…”

Holy fucking hell, she didn’t go to my best friend and he wouldn’t do it, would he?!
Damn, no he wouldn’t… Nooo… Ah ah… or? No… but why would he say here with Elise? Something happened here with Elise.. Shit!
I threw the phone aside grabbed my things and walked out without another word, I knew my next destination.
Brian’s house and when I find Elise there, I swear to god… I don’t know what I will do.

Elise POV

After I told Brian everything I felt better, he understood me and was such a sweet guy. Most of the time he had this cocky attitude but the last days it has changed. It seemed like he cared for me as a friend and I liked that.
And he explained his talk with Jimmy, what Jimmy had said about me and I felt even more stupid now.
“We will explain everything in the morning, alright. I called him again, but his cell phone is still off, I left him a message that you are here and we should talk.”
“Thank you, Brian. And I am sorry, that you had to come and get me… well and listen to all of this…”
“Hey… why do I have to say this all the time, that’s what friends are for, right?! And by the way… why didn’t you just ask Kim or Jessica for an advice I think those two would have given you a real advice. They are also friends, you should call them, and not listen to some crazy ass bitch at your college.”
I smiled at Brian’s outburst about Samantha, and damn I didn’t know why I listened to her at all.
I knew she had tricked me once, why would she suddenly be so nice to me.
“You are right. Next time I will call you or one of them.” I said ruefully.
“Now, don’t make such a sad face. We will talk to Jimmy tomorrow and everything will work out fine. This is no big deal. Just a misunderstanding…Now come on, let’s go to bed. It’s too fucking late for any more serious talk now.” Brian said and grabbed my hand.
He showed me to a guestroom next to his room and I knew that I wouldn’t close an eye tonight.
I also needed to think of something to do for Brian, I felt sorry that he had to deal with me and my problems, but he had been so kind… I think I could never repay him for that.
