Right Where I Belong

Elise’s POV

It was really Jimmy, when Tyler had introduced me to Zacky and I turned around I couldn’t help myself and just gasped, “James…”
I looked at him, his hair looked a little ruffled and I lost myself immediately in the deep blue sea of his eyes.
I noticed the tattoo on his throat, I haven’t seen them before at our first meeting and I drank in the sight of him.
And his friend Zacky, I had seen him before, but where?!

Jimmy and I talked for a short time and he held my hand in his I tried to pull it away at first but when he didn’t let go I just accepted it and I kind of liked his touch but I saw my brother was glancing my way every now and then and I had a bad conscious since I was here to help Tyler and not to chat with Jimmy, even if I wanted to.
I excused myself and made my way to the bathroom where Tyler and Zack were still talking.
“So what do you think so far?” Tyler asked Zack.
“I like it, how many rooms are upstairs?” Zack asked.
“There are 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. Come on let’s get upstairs and I’ll show you.”
Tyler looked at me and smiled, “After you, Elli.”
“Thank you.”
I walked up the stairs turned around and my eyes immediately met Jimmy’s when I looked down, he stood at the bottom of the stairs and smiled.
I had to turn away and concentrate on what Tyler was talking about.
I went with them into the next bedroom and when I turned around and wanted to go to the next room I ran into Jimmy’s chest. I haven’t heard him approach, he put his hands on my shoulders to steady me and I knew my cheeks must be bright pink again.
“I’m sorry..” I said quietly and moved around him.
I tried to maintain my distance around Jimmy and it worked good when I put Tyler as a buffer between us. Zacky mentioned that he liked the first house but also wanted to see the next one, so we drove over to the second address.

Jimmy’s POV

I walked beside Zacky when we entered the second house, “Don’t take one of these houses!”
Zacky looked at me questioning, “What?”
“You won’t take one of these houses…” I replied again.
“Why the hell not? I liked the first one, I could really imagine…”
“No, you need to see more…maybe there are even better ones?!” I tried again.
“Jimmy, why are you saying that?” Zacky asked and then rolled his eyes.
“Tell them you want to see more… tomorrow!” I needed to see Elise again, but I couldn’t ask her for a date as long as this guy was always by her side.
“Damn it, Jimmy what is wrong with you?” Zacky sounded a little too amused at my request.
“Come on Zack…”
“Okay okay… Now get inside”, he shoved me through the door and I nearly stumbled into Elise who was still standing near the hallway.
Zack and Tyler went forward again and Elise listened to every word they were speaking she was hanging on the lips of this Tyler guy and I didn’t like it.

When the walkabout for house number 2 was done we walked outside, “So Zack, how do you like these two properties?”
“I really liked the first one but I have a feeling that I shouldn’t decide just now… could we meet again and you show me some more Exposés or something?” Zack asked and I smiled like a lunatic.
“Sure, we can do that… what do you think, Elise and I will work a little longer today to search for some nice offerings and we gonna meet tomorrow morning at 9 in my office and we can discuss the Exposés?”
Work long, woahh hold your horses, dude! I wanted to say something but Zacky was faster, “Awesome… will you also be there Elise?” Zack asked with a charming smile.
Her cheeks grew red and she looked down, god could anyone be more cute then her?
“I… yes…” she replied shyly.
Tyler laughed and wanted to lay his arm around her slim shoulders, but I didn’t like it and before I could do stop myself I just moved forward and grabbed Elise into a hug and whispered, “Can’t wait to see you again tomorrow…”
She was at first stiff in my arms and then I felt her hand on my back just a feather light touch but I felt it deep in my bones.
“I.. can’t wait, too.”, I heard her whisper back and with that she made my day.

This past night I didn’t sleep well, I was thinking the whole time about Elise and Tyler. Was he really her boyfriend or was he just her boss? But why did he call her honey? They seemed so familiar with each other and I hated it.

I heard a knock on my bedroom door, “Jimmy? You ready?”
“Zack… come on in.”
The door opened and Zack stood there already dressed up, “You ready to go?”
“Wait, what time is it?”
“8:20… we should leave in 10 minutes. You don’t even have pants on, Jimbo what’s wrong with you?!God, put some pants on?!” Zack shook his head.
“It is morning already? Shit… shit shit shit… I need to shower…” I began to run from my closet to the bathroom back to my closet and grabbed something to wear then while undressing I went into the bathroom to get into the shower…
“Damn it, Jimmy. You could have warned me that you get undressed, I mean I really didn’t need to see your naked ass…” Zack complained.
“Don’t be jealous!” I yelled back.
In record time I showered, got dressed and we were sitting in the car to our appointment with Elise… and Tyler!

We walked into the huge office building from TCM Real Estate and I already saw Tyler and Elise in the back sitting in one of the offices. I didn’t like that she was sitting at his desk, seeming to share the office room with him. Why in hell did she work in one room with him, here are many rooms left, but I got it he wanted her close… damn him!
Zacky walked forward into the foyer. Tyler saw us and stood up from his desk and greeted us at his office door.



Again he was wearing suit and tie and looking so different then me…shit, should I also try a suit again, did I earn a suit at all? I should go shopping in the next day’s…

“Zack, Jimmy… come on in. Elise and I found some pretty good offering to show you, and believe me we had a very long night, yesterday… we haven’t slept at all!” Tyler laughed and motioned us into his office.
Elise looked up and saw us entering the room and stood up immediately, “Zack, good to see you again.”She held her hand out but Zacky just went forward and hugged her, again I noticed that she just stiffened and didn’t really return the hug. Why was it so hard for her to show affection?
Even if I liked that she didn’t just fall into Zacky’s arms but also the way she hugged me yesterday was really shy.
I would hug her a lot more and show her how much I would like her touch on my skin!
With that thought in my head I shoved Zack out of the way and grabbed Elise into another hug, before she could protest.

“Hi Elise…” I whispered near her ear, and smelled her shampoo. Gods, her smell was delicious and I could hardly keep my mouth away from her throat to suckle on her skin there.
“James…” Elise whispered back, gods why does my name sound so sexy when she said it?
“Can I tell you that I thought about you all night long?” I whispered again and she didn’t stiffen or tried to free herself from me she just stayed in my arms and I loved that feeling.
“I…” she started but we were interrupted by Tyler, “Okay, so let’s move to my laptop, I show you the properties, alright?”
Elise let immediately go of me and stepped back as if she was brought back into the real world and we kind of were, cause I already forgot that we were standing in the doorway of Tyler’s and her office. And I definitely wanted to know what she wanted to say to me… fuck this guy… I would just ask her out!

Elise’s POV

Tyler and Zack sat next to each other before the laptop since there was not enough space for me and Jimmy to sit down as well I stood next to him behind the chairs.
“Guys, do you want something to drink? Coffee maybe?” Tyler asked.
“Yeah coffee would be great, thanks.” Zack replied and Tyler was about to stand up but I was faster.
“No, please stay, I will organize it. Tyler, like always?”
“Yes, Elli, thank you.” Tyler said with a smile.
“Zacky, how do you like yours?” I asked him and tried not to look too deep into his piercing green eyes.
“Black. Thanks, Elise.” He smiled and looked back at the laptop.
I turned towards Jimmy, “And what would you like?”
He smiled and I couldn’t help but return the smile, “Also black. But let me help you with it.”
“No… stay.. I will just…” I replied and went towards the door but Jimmy was already behind me.
“Okay, then I will show you to the kitchen.”
I walked to the end of the corridor into the small kitchen and prepared the first coffee on the automatic coffee machine.
“Elise…” he said and stood so close before me that I couldn’t do anything but look up to him.
“Yes?” I replied a little nervous at being so close to him, alone…
“I know it sounds crazy, but I think that is just me, anyways… I want to ask you-”
“Elise? I knew I saw you walking into the kitchen, sweetie!” Collin walked into the kitchen and looked at me standing so close to Jimmy and then coughed a little, “Oh you are not alone… I thought… does Ty know that you are here with him?!” Collin motioned with his thumb to Jimmy.
“Collin, hey…” I stepped back from Jimmy and moved to the coffee machine to make the second coffee.
“Sure, he is with Zack in his office, I was just preparing the coffee, do you also want one?” I asked him nervously.
“No, thank you. Okay, then I will say hi to Zack, and you still remember we have a date for the company tour… I won’t let you back out on that!” Collin said with a smile and disappeared.
“What was that?” Jimmy asked more to himself then me but he looked with an angry glare at the doorway.

The last coffee was ready and I placed everything on a tablet so we could move back, before I could grab it Jimmy pulled my hand in his. I stared at it but didn’t pull away.
I didn’t look into his eyes, I didn’t dare to do so.
“Elise?” he had his finger under my chin and made me look up to him.
“I need to see you again. What do I have to do to see you again?” Jimmy asked.
“I… want to see you, too. Maybe… do you… no… nevermind.”
“No what is it? Tell me…! You can, really!” Jimmy still had his fingers under my chin and his thumb had moved to my chin stroking softly over my skin.
“Would you like to come to a party this Friday?” I asked him and said it so quietly that Jimmy couldn’t have heard it.
“This Friday? You are giving a party? Of course I will come! Where and when?” Jimmy sounded excited and seemed to exactly know what was done at a party, where I was still totally clueless.
“Yes, this Friday, at seven… I can write you our address on a note and then-” I started but Jimmy interrupted me and let his hand drop away from my face,
“-Our address? What do you mean with our address?” He sounded irritated.
“Yes, Tyler and mine… why?” I said and was confused at his irritation.
“You are living with this guy?” now he seemed annoyed.
“I… yes… I am normally living at the college, as you know, and Tyler was so nice to let me live with him…”
“He was so nice.. right..?! Anyway I will come to that party, if he will like it or not!” Jimmy was getting louder and I retreated again.
“Elli?” I heard Tyler call for me. Shit, the coffee… was cold by now. Damn it…!
“Yes, sorry.” Zacky and Tyler stood in the kitchen doorway.
“It’s my fault, I distracted her…” Jimmy said and moved closer to me again, our fingers brushed and I felt my heart beat faster.
“No problem. Zacky and I agreed on house number one. We will settle everything in the next days so… no need for that cold coffee.” Tyler said with a smile.
“Okay, Jimmy.. you ready? We can leave now...” Zack said and motioned to the door.
“Yes, nearly. Elise wanted to give me something first.” Jimmy let go of my hand and moved towards Tyler’s office, I had no other chance then to follow him.
He held a pen and paper out for me and I wrote down Tyler’s address.
“And your number…” Jimmy motioned for me to write more.
“My number?” I asked him with a frown.
“You phone number, maybe I don’t find it right away, and need your help?” Jimmy said and that sounded plausible.
I wrote my name and number on the bottom and handed it to Jimmy, he smiled at the note and then kissed my cheek. Really kissed my cheek and went out where Zack was already waiting for him.
I put my hand to my cheek, where only a couple of seconds ago his lips has been.
