Right Where I Belong

Elise’s POV

“Elli, what you think about a small party this Friday?” Tyler asked me while we arrived at his office the next morning.
“A Party? For whom?” I asked with a frown. I also never had been to a party so I didn’t know what he would plan.
“For you… I mean… as a Welcome Party, you know. So you can get used to all the people around here… what you think?” Tyler asked again.
I shrugged my shoulder, “It’s your house, you can do whatever you want, you know. I won’t bother you.”
“Good god, Elise. The party would be for you not me… I want you to have fun. Tell me have you ever been to a party before?”
“No.” I said and was a little sheepishly.
“Okay, so it’s settled. Friday we gonna have a party.”
Tyler looked at his watch, “Okay…We will meet in 20 min. with Zack at the first destination. You ready?”
“Yes, I think so. You will do the talking, right?” I was way too nervous to talk to someone even if Tyler had told me everything about the houses we would show today but it was different to just talk to Tyler or to stand in front of a total stranger.
“Yes, you will just watch and learn, maybe next time you can do the talking, so watch out!” Tyler smiled and got up.
There was a knock on the door and Tyler’s friend Collin walked in.



I have seen him in his office before but we haven’t been introduced.
“Ty, I’m out of the office for the…” Collin started and then he glanced at me and stopped.
“Sorry, didn’t know you had a… guest?” He walked forward and took my hand and held it to hislips and kissed it and I felt my cheeks burning when his soft lips met the skin of my hand.
“Save it Col, this is my little sister Elise, I told you she would be coming here for her traineeship, you remember?” Tyler interrupted.
Collin let go of my hand but didn’t look away and I felt my cheeks burning even hotter now, “I remember you saying your little baby sister and stuff you didn’t say your beautiful, hot sister…” Collin smiled even brighter.
“Yeah, and I know exactly why.” Tyler sounded annoyed.
“Hey Elise, I can show you around the company a little, if you like…” Collin held his hand out for me to take it but I looked over to Tyler for help.
“Like I said save it Col, we are about to meet at our first destination in 15 minutes now. So we have to move… and you wanted to tell me what?”
“Oh, yeah just that I won’t be at the office later today, but you can reach me by phone. Elise, it was a pleasure, we sure can fetch up our little tour around the company later, right?!” Collin winked at me and I just frowned a little, Tyler already showed me around the company, why would he want to tell me the same stuff again?!
“Sure, thank you.” I nodded politely.
Collin smiled and went back to the door, “Oh and Col, I want to make a little Welcome Party for Elise this Friday, and if you behave you are invited as well…” Tyler laughed and stood up again and grabbed some papers from his desk and held the door open for me.
“Don’t give your sister a bad impression of me, I always behave in company of a beautiful woman…”, he smiled at me again. And if I didn’t knew it better I would say that he was flirting with me but what did I know about flirting anyway?!
“Okay, then have a nice day and we see us tomorrow. It was a pleasure Elise.” He grabbed my hand again and kissed it and then turned and went away.
“Don’t take him seriously, he is a… womanizer…” Tyler said next to me and then grabbed my arm and let me outside and to his car.

Jimmy’s POV

I climbed next to Zack into his car and I already regretted that I told him I would accompany him to the house showings.
I was still a little groggy from our drinking after we had all of Zack’s stuff out of Gena’s flat but Zacky on the other hand was excited as hell or he was still drunk I couldn’t really tell the difference by now.
God, my head hurts so much… I should have taken a pain-killer before we left but we were already late for the first appointment.
So Zacky drove like a lunatic it was on 10 minutes away from my house and we were still late, so go figure…
Maybe I could just stay in the car and take a little nap while Zack would go and look at the house, I wasn’t into the mood to get into a conversation with anybody.



“The number?” Zack held something in front of my face.
“What?” I looked at it.
“The address, which house number?”
“Oh..” I looked a little more closely, “21… oh here, here it is, stop.” I looked at the white beach house directly before us.
“Great.” Zacky stopped the car and we both got out.
“Hey Zack, would you care if I just wait outside?” I tried but I already knew his answer.
“What the fuck man? Don’t be a pussy and just come along…” Zack took my arm and we saw further in the driveway a black BMW, I felt a little déjà-vu as if I have seen that car before but couldn’t pinpoint where.
We walked towards the front door and Zacky knocked loudly and my head hurts even more.

A tall guy wearing a suit, with dark brown hair and blue eyes open the door with a friendly smile.
He looked at Zack and they seemed to recognize the other, “Hey Tyler, good to see you again man.”
“Zack, yeah really good. It’s been a while since we have seen each other on one of Col’s party’s right?!”
“Yeah, his party’s were fucking crazy. Oh this is my friend Jimmy…” Zack motioned to me and the Tyler guy held his hand out to me with a smile, “Yeah, I know… Jimmy Sullivan, wow great to meet you really. Come on in… I wanna introduce you to my assistant, we will show you the house together.”
I walked forward and I even if Tyler seemed like a really nice and open person I somehow had the feeling that I shouldn’t like him, but with his friendly and open way I just couldn’t. What was wrong with me…?! I needed to go home and have a nice long sleep and shouldn’t get up before next Monday…
Zack and I walked a little behind Tyler and I turned to Zack, “Zack… I could lay in my bed now and could sober up but you had to drag me here… and I could fucking kill -”

That’s when I looked into the living room and there sat… Elise. I couldn’t believe my eyes!



I looked at Zacky next to me and then at Elise again sitting there in the living room and I looked back to Zack, “I could fucking kiss you for dragging me here!!” I grabbed Zack into a tight hug and he just stood still and clapped me on the back, “Okay… Jimmy.. you are scaring me a bit, what is going on?”
I motion for him to look at Elise, “That’s her…”
“That’s who?” Zacky looked confused.
“She is Elise, the one I wanted to visit Sunday from the college…”
“That is… oh Elise… I talked to her on the phone yesterday.” Zacky shrugged his shoulders.
“You.. what?” I looked at him wide eyes open.
“She is the assistant I talked to yesterday, now I remember her name Elise, yes. So can we finally enter the next room or you wanna stay here in the doorway?”
“I.. shit.. do I look good? I mean.. I…” I didn’t even know what to think, why was I getting so nervous?
Gods, I made such an effort on Sunday to make a good impression on her and we didn’t meet, today when I was still wasted from the drinking yesterday I would meet her, ‘Thanks man, great job’ I looked up at the ceiling and sighed.

My heart was beating a little faster than normal and Zacky went into the room before me so I could still watch Elise when she saw him approach.
“Elise, honey… This is Zack Baker our hopefully soon customer. Zack this is Elise my assistant.” Tyler said and now I knew why my first instinct was to hate this guy. He called her honey and that’s why I knew the car outside, he was the one who picked her up from the college. Shit, he must be her boyfriend or lover or boss or everything at once…
“And this is…”
“JAMES?” I heard Elise gasp and looking my way.
“Elise, nice to see you again.” I walked towards her and she was still looking at me in shock and I could see the Tyler guy looking confused between me and her and I felt a little self-satisfaction that she remembered me and was speechless and didn’t care what the other guy thought.
“So you two now each other, as I can see?” Tyler asked and interrupted our staring.
Elise slowly shook her head and then looked at Tyler, “No, I mean.. yes. We met a few days ago…”
“Okay, so.. We will show you the house, okay?” Tyler looked at Zack and he nodded.
Tyler went forward talking with Zack about the details of the house and Elise wanted to quickly ran behind them but I grabbed her wrist.
“Wait…” I looked at her beautiful face, wow the real her didn’t compare to my memories. She was so much more beautiful then I remembered.
“Why? I need to hear what Tyler says…” She tried to shake of my hand but I held steady.
“I know it sounds crazy but I wanted to visit you, I wanted to see you again after our little talk, you know? And I was there, at your college, just when you left… with him.”
I motion to Tyler who was totally concentrated on telling Zack all the positive things about this wonderful beach house.
“Then it really was you…” she looked at me more closely, “I thought I saw you there, but I was already leaving… I thought you would visit… your… hm…”
“My, what?” I frowned down at her.
“Your.. girlfriend.” She finished and looked at the floor.
“No.. I wanted to visit you, and I already made an appointment, your roommate should have told you…”
“My roommate… oh wow.. yeah no wonder that I never…”, she sighed, “My roommate and I are in a little fight and I think she didn’t tell me anything on purpose.”
“What?! Why that?” I would teach that bitch a lesson!
“Nevermind, I really need to catch up on what Tyler is telling now… sorry.” she pulled her hand away, which I already forgot that I still held it in mine and felt the loss immediately as she hurried behind them into the first bathroom.
