Love Lost

{Zack’s POV}

I woke up quite early the next morning, before anyone else actually. I made sure to shower quickly and get myself out of the tour bus before anyone could ask me where I was going. The address Meaghan had given me wasn’t too far from where we were parked up, luckily, so I decided to speed walk there. I felt guilty after last night, I walked out without giving Gena so much as a glance, what must she be thinking? She’ll think she has done something wrong, or I don’t want the baby. And neither of those are true.

As I walked into the clinic, sure enough, Meaghan was sitting there and filling out her paperwork. I took a seat beside her, her eyes lighting up when she saw me.
“Hey” She smiled up at me, making me cringe inside.
“Hello. How long until its your-“ I was cut off suddenly when I doctor came out and said Meaghan’s name. She shrugged her shoulders at me and took my hand, guiding me through to the doctor’s office.
I, once again, paid no attention to what was happening. He started telling her about this pill, once it’s taken… Everything’s over. She looked unsure about it, but I encouraged her quietly. I breathed out a breath I didn’t realise I was holding in as she swallowed the pill, but the doctor wanted to keep an eye on her for a few minutes to make sure she didn’t throw it up. I was thankful, she probably would have done that just to get me. Sure enough, ten minutes passed and she hadn’t thrown up. Although, she was starting to bleed and ran off to the bathrooms to protect her underwear from it. I wiped my forehead and leaned against the wall, closing my eyes as I waited for her to come back out. It was over, it was all over. Meaghan would be out of my life for good, Gena would never know and we could be the happy family we always wanted to be.

As Meaghan skipped back out, she took my hand and started dragging me towards the entrance. But, I froze. Not because I had made a mistake, not because I was regretting it… But there she was. Standing at the entrance.

Gena was with Michelle and Val, how could I forget something so stupid? She had an appointment here today! She wanted to check the touring wasn’t affecting the baby! Her eyes locked on mine and Meaghan’s hands, I quickly took mine back and she looked up at me before turning around quickly. I saw a tear falling down her cheeks as the twins ran after her. I quickly rushed over to her and turned her around as she got outside, I didn’t know what to say but I couldn’t let her go.
“Why are you with her?” Was all she asked me, her voice was breaking from the tears that built up.
Meaghan walked over and put her two cents in, smiling. “He was helping me abort his baby.”
I wanted to actually punch her, I didn’t believe in hitting women but she was getting on my last nerve.
“Please, Gena… It was an accident!” I screamed as she ran off, the twins gave me the most disgusted look I had ever seen. Michelle had even tried to take a swing at Meaghan, but Val pulled her away and they ran off to find Gena. I screwed my face up when I looked back at Meaghan before I too ran away.

I ran straight to the tour bus, where everyone was already sitting down with furious looks plastered on their faces. Gena was crying hysterically and Lacey was trying to calm her down, telling her she’s going to stress the baby out. Somehow, I didn’t think she cared so much about that.
“Zack.” Matt growled, everyone turned to look at me. Matt launched himself at me and punched me in the face, but I didn’t hit back. I knew I deserved it and I also knew better than to fight someone like Matt, I’d get my face kicked in.
Brian and Johnny pulled him off, he sat down near Gena and held his head in his hands. I had devastated the whole Avenged family, I felt like I had cheated on every one of them.
I looked over at Gena, I was trying to talk but I couldn’t form any words.

Arin stood up, his eyes were still as angry as ever when he looked at me.
“Why do you have to ruin things, Zack?” His voice was broken too, I don’t think he meant to let the emotion seep into it, but he did. I shook my head at him and he took Kim into his bedroom, he was the youngest after all and he couldn’t cope with such stress while adjusting to tour life.
Brian wouldn’t even look at me, probably because I didn’t tell him I was going with Meaghan. Val and Michelle were in Val’s bedroom, they didn’t want to face me either. They didn’t want to end up punching me. Johnny was staring at Matt, scared he might try to batter me into next week, but Matt was staring at Gena as her body shook with the tears. Lacey noticed the staring and ushered Gena into her bedroom so she could cry it all out privately.

Before anyone could say anything else, I quickly ran into my bedroom and locked the door. I could tell someone was following me, so I sat against it. There were hard, loud knocks on the door. Ones only Matt could make, I knew for sure I was a gonner now.
