Love Lost

{Gena’s POV}

That’s it. The perfect life. The perfect husband. The growing baby… They’re nothing anymore. My perfect husband turned out to be a liar. The perfect life is ruined. And the baby? I don’t know what’s going on there anymore.

A tear slid down my cheek, Lacey had left me alone in her bedroom to gather my thoughts. That, and the fact that Matt was banging down Zack’s door and trying to get to him. I did want to tell him to stop, but I couldn’t face people yet.
And what was I thinking? Of course I know what to do, I love that baby. I always will.
The constant banging was starting to get on my nerves though, I was already close to bursting. I ran out of the room and screamed as loud as I can “STOP BANGING ON THE DOOR MATT!”
He turned around, I saw a reflection of myself in his eyes. I looked emotionless, my cheeks were stained with the tears I had shed. I was a ghost of my former happy self, and I felt like it was all my fault. Before Matt could say anything, I had broken into tears again and I was repeating “Why did this happen? Why did I have to make him cheat?”
Matt was shaking his head over and over, Brian was putting his arms around me to calm me down. I could hear Zack sniffling through the door too.
“It wasn’t you.”
Zack’s voice. It was somehow the only voice I wanted to hear, and the last voice I wanted to hear right now.

I turned around and walked back off to Lacey’s room, throwing myself onto her bed and resting a hand on the bump that was forming. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply, soon falling asleep.

{Zack’s POV}

Gena was blaming herself, she was actually accusing herself of making me cheat. I felt a hundred times worse knowing that, she could never make me cheat. She’s perfect. I ached to see her beautiful face, but I knew she didn’t want to see mine.

I slowly unlocked the door, finding Matt standing there and staring at me. I flinched slightly and got ready to retreat but he lifted a hand and shook his head.
“We’re heading home, I’ve cancelled the next few weeks, we’ll make it up to them. We need to go home.” Matt nodded his head, spinning around quickly and walking out to play some games with Arin. Arin looked distraught, the first few months of tour was awesome, he was having such a great time. Poor kid.
All of a sudden, I heard a rather loud groan coming from Lacey’s bedroom. I assumed they were both going at it, until I realised they were standing beside me. Gena was in there.
Lacey walked into the room and closed the door behind her, I could hear various mumbles but I couldn’t make out what they were saying.

All of a sudden, she burst out of the room.
“Get the driver to pull in to a hospital, quick!” Lacey all but screamed, Michelle spun around in confusion.
“What’s going on?” She responded, looking at the door where Gena was.
“I think it’s the baby.”
My heart sank. I was stressing her out so much that I had even put our baby at risk. Lacey went back into the room, followed by Michelle. Everyone else decided to just pace around in concern as we drove to the hospital, Gena’s groans were getting louder yet weaker. Luckily, we pulled up to the hospital just as she was beginning to black out. Matt quickly picked her up into his arms and ran into the hospital with her, everyone but me followed. Arin had given me that “don’t bother” look, probably because nobody would have wanted me there.

All I could do was sit and wonder how the baby was doing, how Gena was doing.
