Trying not to love you

"So now will you tell me your name?" Tyson asked as we walked passed some tour busses. I let out a little laugh and smiled at Tyson.

"Oh, you see, with a smile as pretty as that, I just know your name will be beautiful."

I continued to smile and felt my face get red.

"Aw, you're such a sweet talker." I said.

"Thank you...." Tyson said, trying to get me to say my name. I laughed again and completed his sentence with my name.

"Angelica."

"Angelica. Huh, I was right. You do have a beautiful name." Oh yeah, he's sweet talker.

"Thanks. I like it too." Tyson looked at me and smiled. Now that I could actually see his face, I noticed that he has some really pretty blue eyes. I mean, he actually gives Jimmy a run for his money. Actually the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen are Brian's delicious chocolate brown eyes. Wait, what am I doing? Am I seriously thinking about Brian right now? I'm supposed to be on a date with Tyson. Brian should you be the farthest thing from my mind. But unfortunately that's never the case.

"So how did you get a job working for Avenged?" Tyson asked.

"Well, I've been friends with Matt, Jimmy and Val since we were kids. Jimmy met Brian sometime in middle school and eventually Jimmy introduced us to Brian. Then we met Zack in highschool and then we met Johnny because his brotheris friends with Zack. So when Matt and Zack decided that they wanted to start a band, Val and I became their biggest fans and biggest supporters. Actually the whole crew is made up of friends we grew up with." I said and looked over at Tyson.

"Oh wow." He said. "You're all just one big family, huh?" He said.

"Pretty much. Except for the fact that Val and Matt are boyfriend and girlfriend." I said.

"Yeah, and the fact that Brian has a crush on you." Tyson said and I froze in my tracks.

"What?!" I asked.

"What?" Tyson said and looked over to me.

"You're not serious, right? Brian does not have a crush on me. What would make you think that?" I asked.

"Oh come on!I saw how he was holding you. And how he looked you. He is so hot for you!" Tyson said, teasing me as if we were in elementary school. I scoffed at him and he just rolled his eyes

"No he is not. Brian doesn't have crushes on girls. Girls have crushes on him. Brian just has meaningless one night stands with random sluts that show up to our gigs, just sleep with him or one of the guys so they can run back to their friends and tell them that they slept with a rock star. They don't care about the band or their music." I said.

"Okay. Then explain to me why when I went to go pick you up and gave you a hug, he had a pissed off face on and the word 'JEALOUS' written in big bold letters across his forehead.

"Okay. Brian is very protective of me. You probably got a jealous look confused with his protective look confused." I said.

"Ok. What about the way he washolding you? Explain that?"

Is this guy serious, right now? Why is he pushing this?

"With pleasure. He always holds me like that. Ever since high school he has always put his arm around my shoulders or my hips. Thats just how he is."I said.
"Oohh. So he doesn't have a crush on you, he just likes to make moves on you?"

I could tell he was still teasing me.

"No...well...I don't know." I was starting to get confused.

"Look, I'm completely okay with him having a crush on you, just as long as you don't have a crush on him." Tyson said taking my hands into his. I felt my face get red again and itried to hide it but my face looked up at Tyson. He leaned in and was about to kiss me, but I pulled away and had a huge smile on my face.

"Sorry Tyson, but I don't kiss on the first date." Time for a little pay back.

Tyson looked at me with wide eyes and his jaw hanging open. "Are for real, right now?" He asked. I cocked an eyebrow and slightly bit my lip with an evil smirk.

He quickly caught on and smiled back at me with narrowed eyes.

We both locked eyes and I quickly took of running and Tyson began to chase me. We ran around the open parking lot with me laughing my sss off and him calling my name and demanding that I let him kiss me.

He finally caught me and wrapped his arms around me and i reached my arms around the back of his neck.

"Now lets try this again." He said. We were both breathing a little heavy because of all the running. He leanef in and I slightly pulled away at first and let out tv a little giggle, still teasing him a bit. I finally gave in and let him kiss me. And boy did I realize what I was missing. I'm not sure how long we were kissing for when all of a sudden my pager went off. What the fuck? You have got to be kidding me.

I tried to ignore my pager, but my mind immediately started thinking about who could be paging me. It could just be one of the guys screwing around, trying to mess with me, but then it could also be Val trying to signal for help with thr guys. They can get really wild when they get drunk.

I guess Tyson figured out that my mind was starting to wonder.

"Go ahead. See who it is." He said pulling away from me. I looked at my pager an then back at Tyson.

"It's Val!" I said a little panicked. All it said was that i needed to get back to the van.

"Well, what does she want?" Tyson asked.

"I don't know! It just says 'Come Back, Now!' I'm sorry Tyson, but I need to get back to the guys." I said and started walking.

"Wait."

"I'm sorry, Tyson. I had a great time, but I really need to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow." I said and ran off.

Okay so it wasn't Val that paged me. It was actually Brian and the message read 'Come Back! I need you! Now!'. I know it was wrong to lie to Tyson about this, but this message sounds urgent and its scaring the shit out of me.

I finally got back to the van and immediately started looking for Brian. I ran up to Val and she had a confused look on her face.

"Angelica. What are you doing back? Where's Tyson?" she asked then she noticed the panic on my face.

"Oh my god! What happened?!"

"I got Brian's page. He said that he needed me and that had to come back!" I asked.

"Wait, what?! Brian paged you to come back?!" She asked. The guys stsrted to gather around Val and me.

"Yeah! Where's Brian at?!" I was starting to get impatient with her.

"He's lying down in the van. He wasn't feeling too good to he wento go lie down." She said. I was confused. He made it seem like it was a life or death situation.

"Seriously?" I asked. Val just nodded her head and I turned to go check on Brian. I slid open the van's door and saw Brian lying there. I looked back at Val and was about to close the door when Brian woke up.

"Angelica? Is that you?" He sounded kind of weak.

"Yeah. I'm here." I started to get into the van with Brian.

"You okay, babe?" I asked,putting my hand on his forehead to see if he felt hot. But he felt okay.

"I don't know. I just feel kind of weak. I feel like I want to go to sleep but I can't fall asleep." I looked down at him and he did look tired.

"Can you run your fingers through my hair like you do? It really helps me sleep." I smiled and nodded my head.

"Scoot over." I said.

Brian smiled and moved over. I sat down with my back to the wall of the van and brian laid his head in my lap and I started playing with his hair. A smile quickly came across my face. I looked down at Brians face one last time and started to close my eyes. As wrong as this was, it just feels so right and so comfortable. I know I'm so gonna hear it from Val tomorrow. And several days after.
