Trying not to love you

Brian's POV So Angelica is out on a date with this guy, who we know nothing about, and she doesn't even know anything about him. This is seriously bugging me right now. I don't like the fact that she's out on a date with this guy. Or any guy for that matter. I'm trying not to let it get to me but it's killing me to think of her with someone thats not me.

I know its because I have feelings for her. I've actually had these feelings since high school. At first it was just a little crush, but we spend so much time around each other that it eventually turned into....love. I'm so in love with her, but I'm just way too scared to tell her. What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if things get weird between us and I lose my best friend forever? It's just better if I stay quiet about my feelings.

I told Jimmy because he's my best friend and I know he won't say anything. And because I mistakenly let it slip when we got drunk this one time. The fact is that she doesn't feel the same way about me because if she did, she wouldn't be out on a date with some other guy right now.

I stood there next to Zacky, drinking a beer and thinking about Angelica. Is she okay? Is he taking good care of her? She didn't take her jacket. She'll probably get cold and I bet he wouldn't give her his coat to warm up. What a jack ass. I really don't like that guy. I just don't get a good feeling about him. Literally. Like right now, I don't feel good. My stomach feels like its in knots and my feels all fuzzy. I can't think straight. I feel like I'm about pass out.
"Hey Brian, you okay? You're not looking so good, man." Zack said to me.
"Yeah. I think I just need to go lay down. I'll just go to bed." I walked to the van and got in and attempted to fall asleep, but I couldn't get comfortable. I can't sleep. Not without knowing that Angelica is okay. I need to see her. Touch her. Feel her close to me. I know, I'll page her to come back. Oh no. I can't do that. It'll ruin her date. Wait, it'll ruin her date! It's perfect. I'll send her a page saying that I need her and to come back and she'll come running. It's full proof. I got my pager and sent her the message " Come Back! I need you! Now!". ••••• My eyes were closed and I was starting to fall asleep, but then I heard a familiar voice. I couldn't really make out who it was, so i just laid there and continued to fall asleep. Then I heard the door slide open and the voice became clearer. It was Angelica. She talking to Val about me. It worked. She came back. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but my plan worked. She came back to be with me. Ha! Take that, Tyson! "Angelica? Is that you?" I softened my voice to sound a little weak. "Yeah. I'm here." Angelica said and started to get into the van with me. "You okay, babe?" She asked, putting her hand on my forehead. I love it when she calls me babe. I know its just kind of pet name. She calls all the guys babe, but it feels different with me. "I don't know. I just feel kind of weak. I feel like I want to go to sleep but I can't fall asleep." I looked up at her and gave her a weak smile. "Can you run your fingers through my hair like you do? It really helps me sleep." I asked her. "Scoot over." She said while she rolled her eyes and a small smile came on to her face. Ah, this is much better.
