Ana’s POV

I’ll be Mom... Wow… and Damn!
What if I’m not ready for this?
What if I will be a bad mom?
One think I knew for sure is that my child will have the best daddy in the whole wide World.
I called my mom and told her everything that happened during these last hours.
She told me that she will arrive at the hospital with my father as soon as they could. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to talk to my Dad, but Brian had told me that he had changed.
But maybe now when I seemed alright again, he will be back to his normal uninterested self and he will start being an asshole again towards me and Brian well… and all my other friends?!
“And what is about our wedding?” I asked Brian that tiny detail had slipped my mind.
“We need organize another one, as soon as possible” he said and smiled, “Actually..”
He started and I looked at him skeptical, “Actually, what?!”
“Actually I did it already. The Doc said that you will back home within the next week.. And what do you think about a wedding in let’s say 2 weeks?”
Okay, now I was more than shocked, “2 weeks?” He really meant that?! But in 2 fucking weeks?!
“Yes, well our wedding normally would have been more than 2 weeks ago, you know...”
I knew how much he wanted this wedding and I wanted it too.
“Okay, 2 weeks it will be then. And anyways we need to do this soon, because later my dress won’t fit!” I laid my hand onto my stomach and smiled up to Brian.
He smiled at me and kissed my neck.
One hour later my parents came to visit me. And I was shocked, I’m still shocked, I think.
They were really changed. Even if my Dad didn’t really talk much, he was smiling from time to time and saying something nice as well. He patted my hand, I don’t even remember the last time he had touched me..
When Brian showed them the video of our baby my mom started to cry and I could swear that I saw my dad’s eyes glistering with tears as well.

We were talking long about everything, we haven’t done that… well ever...
I told them our new wedding date.
My dad looked at me and Brian and finally said, “I’m really happy, I hadn’t chance to say it earlier”.
That was when I stopped the talking and looked at him, I didn’t know what to say but that wasn’t all. This next sentence made me cry even more. They were about to go and my mom hugged me and Brian, then my Dad held Brian’s hand and said “I know that you will be a great father, not like I was” he clapped him on the shoulder and walked towards me, “I’m sorry Ana.. For everything, I hope that someday. You will forgive me” he kissed my cheek and they just went out.
I looked at the door opened mouth with tears falling down my cheeks. Who was that man?Was that really my dad or did he lose his memories too?

“Baby, can you ask Romy and Zacky to come here?” I looked up to Brian and tried an innocent smile. He looked at me questioningly but I just nodded so he stood up and went out to send them in.
A few seconds later the door opened and I saw Romy and Zack walking towards me.
“Hey” I said with a smile, “please, take a seat”
Romy sat on the chair to my left and Zacky took the one on my right.
“What’s up? Brian told that you wanted to see us?!” Romy asked me and looked at me curiously.
“Yes, first I need to say this, Romy... I’m so sorry, for everything what I said towards you when I was well not really myself, I mean myself, but the old Ana... I never wanted to hurt you with my words...” “Ana please stop it, I know that you didn’t remember me. That you still thought that I was this school bitch.” She smiled a little shy at me and looked at sheepishly.
“Anyway, I’m sorry” I said and grabbed her hand in mine.
“ And there is one more thing” I said and grabbed Zacky hand with my other one.
“ I can’t stand to see my friends like this.” I looked pointedly from one to the other.
“Now, I learned and I think that we all learned that life is too short to fight and argue... I know that you two love each other. You two have to get back together. You never know what will happen in the future, you have to enjoy and savor every moment with love and happiness. Zacky, you still love her, don’t you? I see it in your eyes…” I asked him and he looked a little shocked then his eyes turned towards Romy. “Ahh.. yes, of course I do.”, he murmured.
I didn’t give them time to thing, so I turned towards Romy, “And you Romy? You also love him!” Matter of fact! She nodded and looked at Zacky.
“ See! You can’t live without the other. Why are you making this so complicated?! I almost lost Brian.. The worst thing from this accident was that I thought I would never see him again and that it nearly broke his and my heart. So please, do that for me… Talk it out and you were such a perfect couple.
My child needs a happy family and we are family, right?” They nodded in unison.
“ So..?! You both know that you are not allowed to refuse the patient” I said with a laugh.
I joined together their hands and pulled mine away so only Romy and Zacky hands were touching. I looked at them and they had only eyes for each other. Romy’s cheeks were red and I saw tears in her eyes.
