I awoke to the sound of someone rummaging around downstairs. I got up from my bed and made my way downstairs to see my father loading a gun. what the hell was he going to do? He turned around looking right at me.

"What are you doing out of bed?"

"I heard something and came to see what it was. Why are you holding a gun?" I asked looking to the gun and then back to my father.

"Nothing."

"They why did you load it?" I asked.

"Just go back to bed."

"Not until you tell me what's going on!" I said stepping closer to him.

"Get to bed!" He pointed the gun at me.

"What are you doing?" I asked backing away from him. He didn't say a word but put the gun into his mouth and pull the trigger.

"NO!!" I screamed.

I felt myself being shaken awake by Zacky. I laid my head on his chest and let the tears fall.

"It's okay Rae. I'm here. It was just a dream." Zacky cooed while holding tightly in his arms. I looked over as the door flew open.

"What happened?"

"Just a nightmare Matt." Zacky said as I let the remaining tears run down my face. I watched Matt go into the bathroom and bring something out

. "Lay her down." Matt said and Zacky gently laid me back down and wet my head with a cold rag. I closed my eyes and slowly went back to sleep.

I woke up with no one beside me and in Zacky's room. I sat up and knew something was wrong with me. I didn't feel good at all. I walked downstairs dragging my feet and flopping down on the couch and propping my head in my hand.

"Hey you're up." I looked over to see Matt.

"Yeah." I said weakly.

"Are you feeling alright?" I shook my head no and Matt sat down beside me. He placed the back of his hand on my forehead and it was so cold. It felt really good.

"You're burning up sweetheart. Come on let's get you back to bed." Matt helped me to my room and I laid down while he opened the window letting in the cool morning air come into my room.

"You just rest. I'll go get you some water." I nodded and he left my room.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MATT'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I left her room and headed back downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Where's Raelyx?"

"She's sick. I'm getting her some water." I said grabbing a glass from the cabinet.

"How hot is she?"

"Very." I said putting a few ice cubes into the water.

"I'll watch her."

"Thanks sweetheart." I said kissing Val. I walked out of the kitchen with Val right behind me as I went up the stairs and into her room. I handed Raelyx the glass and she drank a little before setting it on the nightstand. Val felt her head before going into the bathroom and bringing out a cold rag and placing it on her head.

"I need to get going. If anything happens call me." I said kissing Val once more.

"Alright." I left her room and the house and made my way over to the studio.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~VAL'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raelyx has been getting worse all day with her fever. I need to take her to the hospital.

"Raelyx?" I said quietly.

"What?"

"Can you walk?" I asked getting her shoes.

"I think so."

"Good. I'm taking you to the hospital." I said putting her shoes on. I helped her down the stairs and out to my car. As I drove us to the hospital and I would see her trying to close her eyes.

"Raelyx, don't close your eyes." I said shaking her with one hand. I pulled into the hospital parking lot and found a space very close to the entrance. I helped her out of the car and I could feel her going limp. I managed to get through the door when she passed out.

"Someone help!" I screamed and nurses came over and they put her on a gurney.

"What is her name?"

"Raelyx..R-A-E-L-Y-X...Sanders." I said to a nurse with a chart in her hand.

"Your name?"

"Val Sanders. My husband is Matthew Sanders." I answered.

"Does she have any medical problems?"

"I don't think so. All I know is that her biological mother died some incurable cancer." I said sitting down. The nurse sat right beside me.

"Do you when she died?"

"Just the year. In 2000." I said and she wrote some stuff down before looking at me.

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked with concern.

"I don't just yet. I'll have a doctor tell you something when they are finished working on her."

"Please do." I said and the got up and walked down the hall where Raelyx went. I needed to call Matt. I walked out of the building and dialed Matt's number.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MATT'S POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had just finished recording when my phone rang.

"Hey baby, how's Raelyx?"

"I'm at the hospital with her. She was getting worse."

"I'll be right over with the guys." I said and they all looked up at me from their food.

"Alright babe. Please hurry."

"I'm coming right now." I said hanging the phone up and grabbing my keys.

"Guys, Raelyx is in the hospital. We have to get over there." I said they threw their trash away and ran out of the building with me and got into my SUV. I sped down the road and parking my car next to Val's in the parking lot and jumped out of the car with the guys close behind me. I looked around the waiting room and seen Val and immediately went over to her.

"How is she?" I asked sitting down.

"They haven't told me anything yet. I'm really fucking worried Matt!"

"I know sweetheart. We all are." I said holding Val close to me. I want to know what's wrong with my daughter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~4 HOURS LATER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've been sitting here with no word from a doctor telling is about Raelyx and it's driving me up the fucking wall. Everyone but me went to sleep waiting for someone to tell us something. I'm sick of fucking waiting!

"Any word yet Matt?"

"Not yet Zacky." I said as he sat up in the seat better. He rubbed his hands over his face and yawned quietly.

"I'm getting tired of fucking waiting."

"You and me both." I said sighing. I looked over at the other as they stirred.

"No word I'm guessing." Jimmy said rubbing his eyes.

"Not yet."

"What are they doing? Fucking themselves in the ass?" Jimmy said making everyone else wake up. Brian, Johnny, and Val all sat up in their seats rubbing their eyes.

"Family of Raelyx Sanders?" I looked over and seen a doctor and I stood up. The doctor came over to us.

"Are you her father?"

"I am. How is she?" I asked shaking his hand.

"She has a very high fever and we're getting that down. We still need to do more tests to see what is exactly wrong with her."

"Can we go see her?" I asked.

"Of course. Come with me." All the guys and Val got up and followed the doctor and I to her room. I looked at her as she slept soundly in the hospital bed. I sat down beside her and held her hand in mine. I felt her head and it was still hot but not as hot as it was. Sweat formed on her brow as she laid there with tubes running in both arms. How could this happen to such a sweet and innocent girl?

"Val? Why don't you and the guys go home and Ill stay here tonight." I said.

"Alright. Come on guys."

"I'll stay here with him." Zacky said as they left the room.

"You should go home and get some rest."

"I'd rather be here." he said looking down.

"Alright." I looked at Raelyx as she slept, sometimes moving but never opening her eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Every hour on the hour a nurse is in here taking blood from her and not giving me any answers. I'm fed up with this shit and I want to know what's going on. I heard the door open and seen the doctor come in.

"How are you doing today Mr. Sanders?"

"Not real good especially when no one is giving me answers to why a fucking answers to why a nurse is in here every hour taking blood." I said angrily.

"I'm sorry Mr. Sanders but we need her blood for the tests."

"What tests? I don't understand why you need so much blood for." I said and I knew Zacky was giving this doctor a look that could kill him instantly.

"Your wife told us that her biological mother had an incurable cancer that she unfortunately died from and I'm just making sure the first blood test matches up with the others."

"What are you not telling me?" I asked.

"Mr. Sanders...Raelyx may have cancer but I'm just double checking so I can make a diagnosis."

"May have? She won't die will she?" I asked.

"We've checked colon, pancreatic, liver, stomach, and kidney cancer and those tests were negative for cancer. We're now checking for Leukemia and Breast cancer. We should have the results in 12 hours. So why don't you go home and inform your wife about what's going on and get some rest."

"I'll call my wife later but I'm staying here." I said looking over at Raelyx.

"Mr. Sanders, you'll be waiting here a long time. I suggest you go home and get some rest."

"Alright but you contact me if anything happens." I said standing to my feet and writing down my number for the doctor. He left the room and I kissed Raelyx's forehead before pulling Zacky out of the room with me. We walked out of the hospital and getting into my SUV.

"Do you want me to drop you at your house or are you coming to mine?" I asked Zacky as we stopped at a red light.

"Your house. That way we can get to the hospital tomorrow."

"Alright." I said and turned down my street and pulling up to my house. I turned off the car and went into the house. Val and the guys were all sitting in the living room watching TV as we entered.

"Did that doctor's say anything?" Jimmy asked.

"Val can I talk to you?" I asked and she followed me into the kitchen.

"What's going on Matt?"

"The doctor has been running several tests and she may have...Raelyx may have cancer." I said sighing.

"Do they know what kind?"

"They everything except Leukemia and Breast cancer. That's being done right now and wont have the results until tomorrow." I said rubbing my face.

"I hope she's going to be okay."

"She's tough. She'll get through it Val." I said pulling her close to me.

"Are we going to tell the guys?"

"Yeah. Zacky already knows what the doctor said and the others have the right to know." I said rubbing her back. Val pulled away and grabbed my hands.

"Let's go tell them." she led me out of the kitchen and back into the living room.

"Guys...the doctor said that Raelyx may have cancer. They've check everything except Leukemia and Breast cancer but I wont be getting the results until tomorrow." I said looking down. The whole room went silent except for the TV playing quietly in the background. No one said a word, not even Jimmy. If the results are catastrophic, I don't know what will happen to the guys.
