The guys and Val were all sitting in our living room talking about what had happened in the last three weeks.
"I took great care of Titan while you were gone, Brooke." Val said.
"Oh thank you so much, Val. I owe you one. We're gonna go pick him up tomorrow and move him here with us." I said. I missed my dog so much.
"What are you planning to do with your house now that you're living here, Brookie?" Johnny asked me.
I shrugged. "Nothing right now. I'll probably sell it later down the road but right now I want to keep it. You never know when an extra house will come in handy." I turned back to Val, "Did you-know-who clean her stuff out?"
"Who? Oh, Skankla? Um...no not yet. I haven't seen her yet and her stuff is getting all dusty. So I'm guessing she just left."
I nodded. "If she's not out in a week I'm selling it all."
Skankla used to be my best friend, Kayla, but she had came onto Jimmy just days before our wedding so I wanted nothing to do with her anymore.
"Brian's got some news," Zack said. "But he wasn't going to say anything so I decided to spill the beans."
Jimmy and I both looked at Brian as he hit Zack in the shoulder. "What's up, bro?" Jimmy asked.
"It's nothing," Brian said looking down at his feet.
Matt laughed. "Ever since your wedding, Brian has been seeing Michelle."
"Yeah and I'm sure she'll just love that you're too ashamed of her to say you're together," Val said.
Brian looked up at her. "I'm not ashamed of your sister, Val. It's just I don't know what's going on with us so its not really news."
I got up to hug him. "Its good news, Bri. I'm glad to see you with somebody."
Brian smiled up at me and pulled me down on his lap. "Marriage looks good on you Brookie. You look so much happier than I've ever seen you before."
Jimmy sat up straight and smiled. "And it's all because of me."
I laughed and switched from Brian's lap to Jimmy's. "Yes it is, baby." I said kissing him.
At that, Zack groaned and stood. "And that would be my cue to leave."
The others stood with him. "Ok guys. I'll see you later."
Matt stopped at the door. "Jimbo, we've got a band meeting tomorrow. Be at the studio by noon ok?"
Jimmy nodded as they shut the door behind them. After they were gone, Jimmy stood with me in his arms like he had done before. "Now, where were we?", he said as he carried me up the stairs and to our bedroom. I reached down and turned the doorknob for him and he kicked the door open. Once in the room, he gently laid me down on the bed and climbed on top of me.
I reached up and ran my fingers through his black hair as he kissed my neck down to my collar bone. I pulled his head up and kissed his lips. "I love you," I said against his lips.
"I love you too," he said continuing with the kissing on my neck. If there's one place to turn me on, it's my neck and Jimmy knows it.
I moaned but pulled his head up again. "Not right now, Jimmy. I am extremely exhausted. Lets just lay down and sleep ok?"
He stuck his bottom lip out and I had to bite mine to keep from laughing at how cute he was. "Aww," he said. "But I don't wanna!"
I kissed him once then got up to put some pjs on. "I promise you, in the morning we can ok? Right now I just want to sleep in your arms. Is that ok?"
Jimmy nodded as he pulled me down on to the bed next to him. "Yes, baby it's fine. But I'm expecting to get some in the morning before I leave for the meeting."
"Deal," I said as I started to fall asleep.
The next day after our morning sex I had promised Jimmy and after he had left for his meeting, I decided to go to my old house to pick up Titan and some other stuff. When I opened the door to the small, two-bedroom house a huge boxer came barreling towards me. I braced myself for the impact as I was thrown to the ground by my dog.
"Hey baby!" I said scratching behind his ears as he whined and nuzzled me. "I missed you so much, Titan. Come on, lets go get your toys together so you can move in with mama."
I stood and went to gather up Titan's toys and his food bowl. I packed his leash, collars, treats and huge doggie bed into my car. I went back inside to gather up stuff I needed at my new home like clothes, my toilettries, and pictures. I was packing pictures into the bag when I saw one that made me stop to smile. It was taken on my twenty-first birthday and all of my boys were hugging me with beers in their hands.
I had always thought that I was so lucky to grow up with friends like them. They were fun, loving, protective and would do anything for you like a real friend should. They were the brothers I had never had and now I was married to Jimmy.
I looked down at the picture and ran my fingers over the picture of Jimmy. He had his trademark cute smile and this was when he had that crazy blonde-ish hair of his sticking straight up. You could just see the life in his eyes and you could still see it to this day. It was one of the main reasons I loved him. He wasn't afraid to live his life to the fullest no matter what anybody thought of him.
After I had everything packed up, I started to lead Titan outside when I saw that the light was on in Kayla's old room. I put the bag I was holding down onto the ground, told Titan to stay, and slowly made my way to the slightly ajar door. Kayla shouldn't be here when I was, it wasn't exactly pretty last time.
I heard shuffling around in the room and I slowly pushed the door open so I could peek beyond it. Inside I saw the room exactly how I had seen it last except this time a man was standing beside the bed throwing Kayla's clothes into a bag.
I moved backwards until I was next to Titan and I grabbed his collar kneeling down to his level. "Titan," I whispered in his ear. "Intruder." At that one word, Titan stood at attention growling and sniffing around. He may have been the sweetest dog ever, but I had trained him to be a savage guard dog if it had ever come to that.
I held the still growling dog by his collar and pulled him to the room. This time I slammed the door open and the man turned in surprise. When Titan saw him, he started barking and snarling and I had to use two hands to hold him back. The man was pressed up against the far wall staring at Titan with intense fear in his eyes.
"Now," I said to the man. "Titan here is trained to tear you to pieces if I let go. And as you can see, it's not easy holding onto him" To show my point, I purposely loosened my hold a bit and Titan scrambled forward and I pretended to struggle to hold him back. I had complete control, this was all for show to make this guy piss his pants. And by what I could see, it was working.
He threw his hands up, "Please! I didn't know anybody would be home! Kayla told me to come here to grab her stuff for her."
"And you are...?" I asked, annoyed. Kayla had sent some guy to do her dirty work? How typical.
"My name is Damien. I met Kayla last week. She said she was living in a terrible enviroment and that I had to get her things because she was in danger if she came back here."
I scoffed. "Well she was right about the last part. But she knew I would be gone for three weeks. Why is she just now getting it? And she sent you? You just met her last week, so why are you already under her control?"
Damien shrugged, still staring at Titan who was growling ferociously at him. "She can be very persuasive. Please, don't let him hurt me. I didn't know you'd be home."
I considered it for a second then I said, "Titan, heal". The dog then instantly stopped growling and sat. Damien seemed to relax a bit but still looked at me, cautiously. Smart guy.
"Look," I said. "You can go back to Kayla and tell her that if she wants her stuff then she is to come get it herself. And if I were you, I'd stay a long way away from her. She isn't worth it, trust me." I nodded my head towards the door. "Now get out."
I finally got all my stuff into the car plus Titan and I was now headed home. When I got there, I noticed Jimmy was already here. I had the dog follow me up to the door and when I opened it, he ran inside immediately smelling around.
"Brooke!" I heard come from the living room. "Your dog just tackled me!"
I followed the voice to find that Titan was indeed standing over Jimmy, licking his face and wagging his little stump of a tail. I started laughing at Jimmy's face as he was trying to push Titan off.
"Titan, down!" I finally managed to get out around my laughter. The dog moved back with a whine and sat down next to Jimmy. When I had finally calmed down, Jimmy stood to hug me, I thought, but instead he wiped a wet hand across me face.
"Ugh!" I yelled jumping back and this time it was Jimmy laughing uncontrolably as he held up his hand.
"Doggie drool!" he yelled out and laughed even harder. I growled and ran to him causing him to fall over back onto the floor.
We wrestled on the floor for a bit before we both called uncle and laid there in each other's arms. I leaned up to kiss under his chin. "And he's your dog now, by the way." I said.
Jimmy smiled. "Yeah but when he attacks me, he's your dog."
I stood pulling Jimmy with me. "Come on, baby. Help me bring in the stuff ok?"
"Yeah alright," he said right before he poked me in the arm and ran off screaming, "You're it!"
I laughed and followed him. I loved my husband so much and I knew he was going to keep me busy. I had no problem with that.
