Promise You Paradise

"Well, have a seat ladies." Dimples gestured to the empty space on the log between Snake bites and Spikey hair. Bailey started having a conversation about blowing stuff up with Tall guy and I drifted off into my own mind while playing with the sand on my feet. Snake bites and Spikey hair started playing some more and I swayed to the sound of the acoustic guitars.

"Yeah, my sister here has some badass guitar skills." I heard Bailey say and my head shot up in a bright red blur. I looked at her, eyes wide and she just smirked. Sometimes, I really hated her.

"I tried to learn, but I got too frustrated and ended up smashing the fuckin' think into the ground." She laughed.

"But this little girl, she can do some pretty amazing shit." She bragged. I inwardly groaned and could feel my eye twitching.

"Why don't you show them?" She suggested.

"No, I-" I began but was interrupted when Spikey hair held his guitar out to me and the rest of the guys all started to agree.

"C'mon, show us what you've got little lady." Spikey hair smiled, still offering his guitar. I looked over at Bailey and she nodded encouragingly. I sighed, and took a deep breath trying to suck in as
much courage as I could. I slowly looked up at Spikey hair and blushed a little.

"I- uh, I can't use that." I said quietly. I could hear Bailey snickering at me.

"What, what's wrong with it?" He asked, looking a little offended and very confused.

"I'm uh, left handed." I said quickly.

"Oh, well then Zack, give her your guitar." He said, looking relieved.

I looked over at Snakebites, and shyly smiled as he handed me his guitar. I closed my eyes a relished in the familiar feeling of the string under my fingers, and like that I opened up. It's funny how you can be completely shy and not want to do something in front of people but once you start, you feel completely comfortable and what you're doing is the only thing that exists.

I instinctively started playing my favorite song, knowing that Bailey would hate it, mainly because she will ALWAYS sing this song with me, no matter what. I heard her groan as soon as she heard what I was playing.

"Awww, c'mon!" She whined. I opened my eyes and looked at her and smiled and she huffed and nodded in agreement.

"What the hell just happened? Was that some kind of twin telepathy or something?" Tall guy asked, looking at us in awe.

"I'm going to play and Bay is going to sing." I told him quietly, turning my attention back to the guitar in my hands. I started to strum the intro, already getting lost in the music.

"I'm coming up only to hold you under
and coming up only to show you're wrong..."

I smiled as I heard Bailey start to sing, her voice is so lovely. I started strumming faster as we got into the main part of the song, and I started to sway and hum with the "ooooh"s. At this point you probably couldn't tell I was that shy little girl that liked to hide away.

"At every occasion, oh, I'm ready for the funeral,
every occasion, oh, one billion day funeral..."

I heard Bailey sing the final lyrics to the song and I began to play the closing guitar part, and when the song ended I looked back up at the guys. They were in shock. I'm pretty sure all of them had sand in their mouths because of how far their jaws had dropped. My eyes widened a little bit and I could feel my face turn red. I handed Snake bites his guitar back and returned to my shell as the guys began to freak over mine and Bailey's little performance.

Okay, so I know it's short, but I was SOOOOOOOO excited for this. I have no freaking idea why, I just was. So here's another update. ENJOY.
