Watch Your Heart

Liv's POV*

My mind was running at a million miles per hour. The room was so quiet my ears were ringing. I looked up and my gaze met with Jimmy's. The decision was purely up to him but I knew I would never agree with it.

"Can I talk to Liv in private?" Jimmy spoke up, breaking the well overdue silence.

"Sure... we'll be downstairs." Erin said getting up and walking to the door with Mattie and Jason. Johnny hesitantly got up and left.

The room fell silent, yet again. I looked at Jimmy and you could tell he was contemplating his decision.

".....you don't have to do this." I said, unintentionally whispering.

"Yes I do." he grabbed my hand and squeezed it a little.

"No, you don't." I protested. "You heard her Jimmy, it's a 30% chance! I can't let you do this... I love you to much to put you through this."

"Liv, I can't sit and watch you die! I'm a match! We can save you! Please let them do the operation!" His eyes were filled with pain and sadness.

"No Jimmy! I won't let you do this! What if it kills you! Erin and the twins are amazing doctors but I can't trust them with your life."

"If it kills me then I'll watch over you in heaven..." he smiled at me.

"No... we aren't doing it!" My heart was aching.

"But Liv-"

"Just forget about me!" I shouted tears streaming down my face.

"I can't! You're the sister I've wanted my whole life and I won't let you die at 25 because some bastard beat you! I refuse! The surgery is happening and it's gonna work and we're gonna live!" He held both my hands tightly.

"What if it doesn't! If I live and you die I wouldn't be able to take it! Jimmy you can't risk your life for me..."

"But I couldn't take it if I lived and you died..." he cupped my face. "Nothing will change my mind Liv. The operation is happening."

My cheeks glistened with tears as Jimmy kissed me on the lips. It was a short, friendly kiss. He wiped my tears and hugged me.

"It'll be alright Olive."

Johnny's POV*

"What do you think Fun size?" Kylie asked pacing back and forth.

"I hope to God this surgery works..." I said muffled, I was sitting with my face in my hands.

"Just forget about me!" Liv's voice boomed throughout the house.

Hearing that made my heart hurt. I love Liv so much and I can't imagine life without her. She had my heart and hopefully I had hers. Let alone her having my child, I could think of a million reasons to never EVER leave her. I was trying so hard to hold my tears back but a few ran down my face. I put my head down and sat there for what seemed like forever until I heard heavy footsteps come down the stairs. I looked up.

"Get the operating table ready." Jimmy said. His eyeliner was smudged a little and his eyes were reddish, puffy, and glossy.

The Berry's, Erin, and Zacky ran upstairs like their lives depended on it. Jimmy sat down next to me and looked around before speaking.

"Be good to her." he whispered.

"But the su-"

He glared at me. "Be. good. to. her."

I nodded and put my head against the wall and shut my eyes wishing this was a dream and Liv was in my arms healthy, pregnant with our child. Wishing she was happy and not worrying about Ben or her anxiety. Wishing that we didn't have to make a life threatening decision that could claim hers and Jimmy's life. Wishing that all the shit going on in our lives would disappear and we could live happily ever after. A cold hand pulled me into a hug.

"I wish she was safe too." Jimmy said against the top of my head.

"We're ready." Zacky's head peered into the living room.

Everyone got up and walked upstairs reluctantly. Jimmy went into his room to change into baggy grey sweatpants and Liv was wearing blue Nike shorts and the same bra she had on when we found her at AA's mansion. Jimmy laid down on the table next her and she turned her head and smiled at him. He reached his hand over and grabbed hers.

"See you soon Olive." he smiled slightly.

"See you soon Jimbo." she smiled back.
