Nothing else matters

Jimmy’s POV

I had a strange feeling. Brian and Ana left so suddenly from the party without a real explanation. I could see a little shock on her face. I knew that something was wrong. I have spent a few evenings with her, I know that she didn’t have such an easy life but she hadn’t told me everything. But I won’t leave my friends hanging, and I consider her now one of my friends.
I will find out what this whole situation was about!
And the next weird thing was Romy. She was so sad for the rest of the evening at the party. I was glad that the Date-guy left early I didn’t like the way he was acting even if he seemed nice at first… But after she came back from the room finished talking with Matt she looked so… I don’t know… so depressed I couldn’t stand the look on her face.
But first things first.
I dialed Ana’s number, she picked up on the second ring, “Hi Annie! Please tell me that I can call you Annie?!”
She laughed a little, “No one calls me that, but if you like.. sure, why not”
“So I called because I wanted to know what was wrong at the party. And don’t try to bullshit me. I saw your face… so spit it out.”
“Fuck Jimmy… nothing really.. I was just.. I wasn’t feeling so well..”
I interrupted, “What did I just say, don’t bullshit me! I wanna know the truth, like right fucking now”
“Jimmy, please… It’s not so important really…”
“Damn Annie, if you are my friend then I wanna know what’s wrong. I care about my friends, I saw that it was important to you so it is important to me as well and I want to know…”
“OK, Jimmy.. But let’s not talk on the phone.. I will just tell you that it’s about Matt’s sister… Romy… she has something to do with my past… “
“Ok, so you know what. We have dinner this evening, my house. Be here at.. 6, ok?”
“Yes, ok. Jimmy… and thanks.”

Romy’s POV

I still couldn’t believe what happened at the party. Why didn’t I lost my memory from alcohol this time.. Then I wouldn’t remember the embarrassment and what Zacky told me.
Sure at first I was happy when he told me he had more feeling to me then friendship and that he was attracted… but the last part… it would be only about sex… And for one tiny moment I really thought about… well fuck it… let’s do it… but then… I didn’t want to just be another girl he had… I want to be THE girl for him.
A call… Jimmy.
I picked up, “Hi Jimmy!”
“Roro… tell me what’s wrong. Don’t try to deny it!”
“Ah, Jimmy you are a fuckin’ pain in the ass.”
“Ahhh I love you, too. So honey... this evening dinner at my house, be here at 7?”
“I’ll be there… See you later.”

Jimmy’s POV

Ok, maybe Dinner was a little overestimated; I just put some plates with junk food on the table.
Hey but everybody likes fries and burgers!
At 6 my doorbell rang, I opened the door and Ana stood there.
She came alone, like I requested. Haha, that would be hard for Brian.
“Come in, honey. Sit down in the living room.”
“So let’s come directly to the point. Why do you have problems with Romy and what does she have to do with your past? But you gotta know, Annie, that Romy is one of my closest friends…”
Ana looked a little nervous; to ease her feelings I grabbed her hands, “Tell me.”
“That is not so easy Jimmy. I mean maybe I am overreacting but when I saw her there at the party I was thrown back into my past… I told you a little about my past… so you know it wasn’t so easy for me… and… When I was in high school I wasn’t in the famous clique. My parents couldn’t afford much and well I didn’t have the new clothes like them, I wasn’t beautiful like Romy or her friends, with make-up, many friends… I was an outcast… and they were laughing at me Jimmy, they made my life a living hell… I didn’t do anything wrong, I tried to get out of harm’s way…”
“Oh damn, and when you saw Romy, that came all back, huh?! I am so sorry Annie, we didn’t know… I hope it is ok; I invited Romy she will be here within the next couple of minutes. Maybe you two could sort things through. I want you to be friends, Annie, cause I can’t stand that my friends are fighting…”
That was when the door bell rang, that must be Romy.
