BBQ
Zacky's POV*
I woke up early and I could hear Nessa lightly snore. That meant she was in a deep sleep. I got out of bed and made my way over to see if Jaymee was awake. Sure enough, she was giggling in her bed at a toy she had in her hand. I picked her up an decided to change her diaper and get her ready for the day. I put a baby Vengeance University onesie on her and a little jean skirt. She looked so damn adorable. I went into the living room with her and put her in her little highchair so I could feed her. Bananas and apples is what she eats in the morning. The baby food, not actual bananas and apples. She loved the taste of it, and to be completely honest, I sorta liked the taste of it too. As I was feeding Jaymee, my cellphone started ringing. I answered it but kept doing a baby talk voice that I always do when I feed Jaymee.
"Zacky!" Matt yelled as soon as I answered.
"Oh Matty, what's up?" I asked.
"Band meeting." He said.
"Uh, when?" I asked, my baby voice going away.
"Today. At your house preferably." Matt said.
"Uh, alright. I'll let Nessa know you guys are coming over. What time though?" I said to him hoping he'd say later on or something.
"I'll be there in an hour. I'm bringing Val too." He replied.
"Alright dude. See ya then."
I wonder why he needs to call a band meeting. We leave for tour next week and we already talked about everything that's going to happen. I bet he's going to say something stupid and then sit and play Call of Duty all night in my livingroom. I sighed deeply. Fucking Matt, man.
"You're Uncle Matt is a pain in my you-know-what." I said to Jaymee as I fed her the last spoon full of baby food. She just giggled. One day she'll understand. I laughed with her. I wiped her face off and then pulled her out of her high chair. "Come on, let's go wake mommy." I told her in a hushed voice.
I sat down on the bed next to Nessa, who was still snoring lightly. I put Jayme down on the bed and she started crawling towards her mom. She crawled right on top of her. Nessa woke up instantly and made baby noises to entertain Jaymee who was already amused with crawling all over Nessa like a jungle gym.
"What's with the Jaymee wake up call?" Nessa asked.
"Apparently, everyone will be here in an hour. 'Band Meeting' is what Matt had said." I explained to her.
"Of course. What more does he need to talk about?" She asked.
"I have no clue babe. Guess we'll see."
Nessa got up and went to take a shower and I played with Jaymee in the living room, while I waited for the guys to come over. I kind of already know what to expect but I'm not crossing any fingers yet. Before I knew it Brian and Chelle showed up with a bunch of grocery bags. Okay, so I guess its going to be all the girls too.
"Hey what's with the bags?" I asked Brian.
"BBQ man." He said with a smile on his face.
"Did Matt tell you to do this?" I asked.
"Yes, I did." Matt said as he walked through the door with Val carrying even more bags.
"Hey man, I thought we weren't doing the BBQ till the day before tour?" I said a little confused.
"Well, we are. Our tour got moved up a week because they added more dates." Matt said.
"Shit." Was all I could say. I wasn't even sure if Nessa was ready to go yet. She's made a lot of progress this far but i'm not sure if she's 100 percent yet.
I helped the guys bring in the rest of the groceries. Then Jimmy, Johnny and their girlfriends arrived. Jimmy instantly swooped up Jaymee and started playing with her. Nessa had just turned the water off in the shower, so I went to go tell her that everyone was here.
"Babe, the band and their girls are here. I guess we're having a BBQ today." I told her.
"I thought it wasn't going to be until the day before tour?" She asked.
"Yeah... we have to leave tomorrow." I said.
Vanessa's POV*
Zacky just told me that their tour dates have been extended so we had to leave early, A.K.A. tomorrow. The sudden shock began to fill me up. On the other hand, I can move around a lot more. So hopefully, this all all goes well. I finished getting dressed and headed out to the living room to greet everyone. All the guys were outside and the girls were in the kitchen cooking side dishes and drinking wine. They all got up as soon as they seen me.
"Nessa, it's good to se you feeling better." Val said pulling me into a tight-but-not-too-tight hug.
"Yeah, I made a lot of progress." I smiled after she let me go.
All the girls pretty much said the same thing and greeted me with hugs. Even Johnny's girlfriend, who is still new to the group, gave me a hug. It felt good.
"Where's Jaymee?" I asked as I scanned the kitchen and living room for her.
"Jimmy has her." Leanna replied.
I looked out in the back where the guys were at and then spotted Jimmy holding Jaymee next to the pool. I laughed and at the same time hoped that the guys were far enough that she won't smell the smoke. Zacky has cut back a lot but one thing I'm proud of is that he never smokes in front of Jaymee. Even right now, its just Brian and Johnny smoking.
"I wonder what the guys are talking about." Chelle said. Out of curiosity I took a look at the guys faces to see if it was a good conversation. Zacky looked a bit frustrated, all the guys - except Jimmy - were gangin up on him it seemed. But I wasn't going to get involved. It's probably band talk. I'm sure he'll tell me later.
