Final Chapter
Zacky's POV*
"Why don't you just do it dude?" Matt said to me.
I looked through the window to take a peek at Nessa. She was talking to the girls and she looked very happy. This made me smile. Then I turned back towards the guys.
"You know she'd probably like it a whole lot better if it wasn't a big event type thing Zack." Johnny said.
"I know, I know but I want everyone to know I love her." I said.
"And they do know man. Everyone knows you love her. But thats not their business. The only one who needs to know you love her, is her." Brian said.
"Why the hell are you guys ganging up on me?" I asked.
"Because you know we're right." Matt said in a smug tone. He loves being right, and this time he knew for a fact that he was.
"So what do I do? I just go in there and ask her to be my wife? No grand gesture, nothing?" I asked them hoping for some sort of idea.
"Asking her to marry you is a grand gesture Vengeance. You're asking this girl to take your name and share her life with you. If thats not grand then I have no idea what is. I may complain about Michelle at times but let me tell you, that the day I asked her to marry me and then the day of our wedding, were the happiest days of my life. I would never take them back. They're even better than being on tour. And ya wanna know what I did? I woke her up and asked her to marry me. Not out to dinner or on a stage. I woke her ass up and asked her. Just go do it already Zack. You know she's going to say yes. So why prolong the inevitable?" Brian said. I didn't even know Brian thought like that.
I looked through the window again to see Nessa. This time she was staring right back at me. She looked curious as if she was trying to figure out what we were saying. From her point of view, it probably looks like we're arguing. I smiled at her and then she smiled back.
"Daddy and Mommy, sitting in a tree, M-A-R-R-I-E-D." I heard Jimmy sing to Jaymee.
Vanessa's POV*
Zacky caught me staring at them so he smiled at me. Yup, definitely must be band talk. I smiled back and then redirected my attention to the girls. Val began pouring shots for all of us. Tequila Rose. That was one of my favorites. Its like a creamy strawberry tequila mixture. I grabbed my shot and waited for someone to say cheers so I could take it.
"Here's to Nessa for being the toughest momma bitch in the group!" Val said.
I took my shot and then laughed.
"Thank you for that." I smiled at the girls.
"Hey you deserve it!" Leanna said.
"Did someone say shots?!" Johnny yelled as he came in from the back also followed by the guys and Jaymee.
Zacky smiled at me and then came to my side. He kissed me on my cheek and that sent shivers down my spine. Or maybe that was the shot taking effect.
"I'll be right back. I have to use the bathroom." Zacky said to me.
"So you ready for tour Nessa?" Matt said after Zacky had left the room.
"Well, I mean I guess I am. This is all new but thankfully its a short tour right?" I asked.
"Yup, like Johnny Christ short." Brian said. Johnny just rolled his eyes and took a shot.
Everyone was laughing. Then everything seemed to slow down like a movie scene. Jimmy and Leanna was playing with Jaymee. Val, Chelle and Matt were talking to me and Brian. Johnny was sitting with his girlfriend at the table. Its like one of those things where you want to freeze the moment and take a picture of it before its too late. But Zacky was missing. I waited for him to come back out here so I could announce my picture wanting. I wanted to remember this moment cause this was our life as we know it. Without the drama or anything this was exactly the way it was when we were young, now just with more people in our family.
Zacky came out and my eyes immediately went to him urging him to walk faster so I could do this. But everything seemed to stay stuck in slow motion. As he got closer he began to kneel down. He was on one knee and pulling something out of his pocket. My heart began to race. I couldn't even hold back the tears I felt coming. Everyone's attention was towards us now.
"I know I've put you through hell and back, but I'm so glad you're by my side. I hope you want to stay there with me and get through everything that comes towards us together. I love you Vanessa Maria Andrews. Will you marry me?" Zacky asked revealing the diamond ring in a velvet box.
I couldn't even speak. I just cried. But it was happy crying. I was happy and I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Finally, I managed enough courage to speak. I opened my mouth and everyone was staring at me waiting to hear what I had to say.
"Yes!"
