Family
Vanessa's POV*
A couple days after I came home, Zack's mom came over to help us pack and help with Jaymee. It was nice to have her here. Plus she always offered to cook and to be honest, that was the best thing to have. She always cooked a lot of food and all of it tasted amazing. Today we are doing a family dinner in mine and Zacky's house. All of his family came over and even my dad and his fiancee. Zack's sister brought her kids and they were playing with Jaymee. Mandy had came by to say hi and be nice, which was a shock to me but its better than her trying to tear my family apart. Although I did catch her and Matt, Zacky's brother, making flirty eyes at each other. I warned him but he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Everyone was happy here though. It was something I could definitely see myself doing occasionally. I've always seen myself as part of Zack's family, so this gave me relief.
"So how are you feeling Nessa?" Zack's sister asked.
"I'm actually doing alot better Zina. By next week I should be ready to go on tour with the guys and be perfectly fine." I told her.
"That's good. Hey can I talk to you outside real quick?" She asked me.
See me and Zina never really talk talked. Yeah we know each other, and I've helped Zack watch her kids but I've never had a heart to heart with her. I wonder whats on her mind. I walked out to the back and she followed me closing the door behind her. Maybe its personal? Who knows. Guess I'll find out.
"What's up Zina?" I asked.
"This probably seems a little weirdly suspicious huh?" She laughed. "I just wanted to say that I'm so glad my brother found you. I was worried when he had brought Gena around the first time and then even more worried when they got engaged. I wasn't afraid to show that to them either. But with you I feel he's genuinely happy. And Jaymee is so adorable, she's one of the best things that could have ever happened to him. I love my pain in the ass little brother, so thank you for being so great to him." She said as she hugged me.
"For a second there I thought you were going to lecture me." I laughed.
"Nope, just wanted to praise you for a moment without Zack making a big fuss." She said. "We're practically sisters now." She smiled and we both headed back inside.
Sisters. That was something I never had. Just the guys, but now there's Val and Chelle and now Zina. I guess I can finally say I have sisters now in a sense. Even Jimmy's girlfriend Leanna tries to get involved when it comes to Jaymee, who Jimmy adores, and whenever Jimmy brings her over. Johnny has a girl he talks too but she's only been around a couple of times. So soon enough she will be part of the family too.This is my family now and I couldn't be more happier with it.
Once everyone finished eating and chatting, everyone started to go home. The house had gone from full to just me, Zacky and Jaymee. I did some cleaning up in the kitchen and then made Jaymee her bottle. By the time I went to give it to her she was already asleep though. So I gave her a kiss and then headed out to the living room where Zacky was cleaning. I watched him clean up. I could tell he was singing something in his head because he had some sort of pattern thing going on. I giggled and it gave away the fact that I was watching. So he stopped what he was doing and walked towards me.
"Laughing at me huh?" He asked me.
"Laughing with you babe." I smiled.
"You seem happy tonight. I like that. I'm glad you're starting to feel better." He said to me.
"Well, I have everything I could ever want. Why wouldn't I be happy?" I said to him as he took me in his embrace.
"Well, that's my job. I'm supposed to keep you happy. No matter how bad anything gets, I will be here to make you feel better." He said flashing me a smile.
I gazed into his eyes and then leaned in for a kiss. He immediately dodged it in a joking manner. He laughed lightly. I slapped his arm, not hard though.
"What about keeping me happy you ass?!" I laughed.
Then he made up for it and picked me up as his lips found their way to mine. He carried me to our bedroom and laid me down. He knows we can't do anything yet, but this was more than enough. He laid down next to me and pulled me close to him. We cuddled and just started talking about the good old days. We talked about this stuff a million times but everytime we talked about it, it felt as if it were the first time all over again. New memories everyday and I can't wait to be on tour with them. The guys had said that I might even do some girl vocals for them since their new album has some girl vocals in it.
"Hey Nessa?" Zack said, interrupting my thoughts.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Nothing. I just wanted to say I love you." He whispered softly.
I kissed him on his cheek and said I loved him too.
Then we fell asleep cuddling. One more week to go and then we won't have our soft, comfortable bed to lay down on and enjoy the peace we have alone. But we're going to be doing, and seeing new things so in a way it's all worth it.
