Life As We Know It
Worry.
Vanessa's POV*
One of the nurses brought me a wheelchair as I was trying to get ready to leave. I looked at it with a little bit of disgust. I was well capable of walking but they said its best that they wheel me to the car. Speaking of car, I had Matt come pick up Zack to go get our car from the bar. I sat there with Jaymee trying to feed her before I put her into her carseat. Zack had came back and told me everything was ready to go except we had to wait on the stupid nurses to come and wheel me out. I can easily say I was not going to miss being here in the slightest bit. The nurse came back in with a huge smile on her face and I gave her the stink eye. I'm sure she seen it, but I didn't care. I sat inside the stupid chair and waited for her to push, that gave me a little satisfaction that she had to push me but at the same time, I can walk. When we got to the car I got up quickly and waited for Zacky to buckle up Jaymee's carseat. When he finished he went to thank the nurse who was batting her eyelashes uncontrollably at him.
"Thanks." He said to her.
"Oh it's nothing. Just my job." She giggled and then looked away shyly.
"Well bye." Zacky said as he turned for the car door.
"Wait. Can I have your autograph? I'm such a big fan of Avenged, well mainly of you. I have "Vengeance" tattooed on my back for you." She smiled.
So I walked over to them and cut into her flirting. "Excuse me. You may be a fan but I am a mother who has a daughter that needs to be home. So stop batting your eyes at my boyfriend so we can go home. Get it?"
The frightened nurse walked away quickly. Zacky just laughed. I hopped into the car next to my daughter. I've seen fan girls around the guys but come on this one has a baby and is off limits for crying out loud. This bothered me a little though. They are working on their new album which only means fan galore right now. I sighed deeply thinking of this. The other hard part of a new album, meant a new tour.
I stayed quiet in the backseat playing with Jaymee making her smile a little. I didn't want to admit to Zack that I was worried. He has proven to me that he's not going to do anything to hurt me. But it's not him I worry about it's more like I'm worried about the people around him. Fans are crazy, they don't care what the star is doing they will attack for their own pleasure. I trust him though.
After spending 2 and a half days in the hospital, we were finally home. Zacky pulled into the garage and I got out grabbing my things while Zacky grabbed the baby out of the car. I went inside and I couldn't be more happier to be home. A place where no stupid little fan girl can come bat her eyes at my boyfriend or ask him for autographs. This is a place I can be happy with my family and be comfortable. Not to mention tomorrow my dad will be coming.
Jaymee began crying as soon as I took a seat to relax. I got back up and picked her up trying to calm her down. She started looking all around her taking in the new area. Her eyes were wide with wonder. I guess she was only crying because she wanted to see everything too. I walked around the house letting her look at all of the things. Then when I took her into her room I seen a smile on her face. Like she knew it was hers. I smiled to myself.
"Zacky! She loves the room." I yelled to Zack who was in our room.
"Daddy knows best for his little princess." He said in a cooeing voice as he entered the baby's room.
"What have you been doing in there?" I asked him.
"Oh, I'm just getting ready to head to the studio." He answered.
"The studio? Today?" I asked astonished.
"Yeah Nessa, I have to work. Its Friday. Only today and I'll ask to leave early babe." He said as he gave me a kiss on the forehead before he left out into the garage.
I sighed. Alone again with only my thoughts to speak to me and the baby to take care of.
Zacky's POV*
Today the guys wanted to do more recording so I was more than eager to go. Not because I wanted to be away from my newborn baby or girlfriend but because I needed the guys to talk to. Ever since my mom gave me this ring its been on my mind alot. Marriage is a huge step and though I'm ready to make her my wife, I don't know if spinging this on her right now is the right thing to do. Especially with all of the money we have spent and will spend on the baby. I pulled up to the recording studio and sat down in the chairs outside of the door. I needed a cigarette before I go in there and tell everyone the big news. I pulled out my pack of Malboros and lit one up. Drag after drag I finished the cigarette in no time. Which is exactly how it feeled. So I put it out in the ashtray and went inside.
"Look its Daddy Vengeance!" Jimmy announced as I came in.
"Hey guys." I waved. "I have something I need your help with but I'll wait till Matt comes out of the booth to talk about it."
"You didn't cheat on Va-Va-Vanessa did you Zack? Because if you did I will beat your ass with my drum sticks." Jimmy said in a teasing yet serious tone.
"No I didn't cheat on her." I replied to Jimmy.
"Your daughter is so pretty Zacky. Lacey kept bugging me saying she wants to have one now." Johnny slurred.
Finally Matt came out of the booth and joined us.
"Why aren't any of you working?" Matt asked.
"Zacky has something to talk to us about." Jimmy said.
"Fuck Vengeance, didn't you learn the last time?" Matt said.
"For fucks sake I did not cheat. Why does everyone assume that? I'm going to ask her to marry me." I said as I pulled out the ring.
"Well given your track record with the last girl you were 'going to marry', of course we wonder. Besides you look shocked yourself." Brian said
"You're finally going to do it?!" Jimmy said jumping for joy ignoring Brian's comment.
"Yes. I am." I laughed.
All of the guys surrounded me looking at the ring asking me questions like "how are you going to ask?" or "what took so long?" Besides the cheating thing, no one had anything bad to say about me marrying Nessa. I was glad they all thought it was a good idea but that didn't help. Is right now the right time to do it? Well maybe not right now, right now but still. I guess I just need to ask and find out what's going to happen.
"I have to plan out how I'm going to do it. I can't this weekend because her dad will be here but soon. And I want you all to be in it of course. Matt, I want you to be the best man. You helped me when it came to Nessa anyways, I wouldn't be with her if it weren't for you. Or you Bri. You both introduced me to her all those years ago." I said to them.
"Man I'd be honored." Matt said.
