Getting Checked
I slowly got to my feet and headed out the door with the doctor and Shadows. We got in the car and drove to the hospital. I held my ribs as the Doctor drove us. Man could he possibly hit every pothole along the way damn! I mean I was already in pain why give me more pain? We pulled into the parking lot and got out. Shadows had his arm around my back rubbing up and down my spine. The doctor took us directly to a private room and he left. I was guessing he went to get a nurse. Shadows helped me onto the hospital bed and I laid there with Shadows sitting in a chair beside me.
"How long am I going to be in here?" I asked looking over at Shadows.
"Well they still got to do an x-ray on your ribs and tape you up if they're broken."
"I hope this don't take long." I said rubbing my forehead with my index and thumb.
"Fienix it's going to be okay."
"I know. I just hate being in hospitals." I said placing my hand back on my ribs.
"If you don't mind me asking, why do you hate hospitals so bad?"
"It's personal." I said turning my head away from him.
"Tell me please." I could tell in his voice that he was concerned.
"Well...My step-dad spent a good part of his life laying in a hospital bed." I said looking up at the ceiling.
"Really?"
"Yeah...I'll tell you in time. Right now it's hard for me to talk about it." I said staring around the room. A single tear runs down my face and I wipe it away. Shadows got up from his chair and sat down on the bed. He held my hand tightly and smiled.
"You don't have to talk about it sweetheart if it hurts you so much." I smiled at him and he held came close and kissed my cheek. I knew he wanted to see me be better and I appreciated that very much. I had never had someone like him in my whole life care about me so much like he did. I felt safe and secured and I think I really loved Shadows...I mean Matt. A few minutes later a nurse came in.
"Hello how are you today?"
"I'm good I reckon." I said and I heard a slight laugh come from Matt. I looked over at him and he just smiled so innocently.
"I'm going to take to down to x-ray and get you checked out and then bring you back in here and when the results come in, the doctor will check in with you."
"Thank you." I said sitting up and getting off the bed.
"I'll be here waiting for you Fienix." Matt said smiling. I gave him a thumbs up and walked out.
*********************SHADOWS POV*****************
I sat there for what seemed like hours waiting for her to get back into the room. I cared for her safety and all around well being. I hated to see her sit or lay down and she would be in pain. It absolutely killed me. I mean after all she has been through it killed me to see her hurting. I know I haven't known her long but it seems like I've known her all my life. When I look into her beautiful and sexy brown eyes, it makes me feel really good. I think I might love her but I'll have to wait and see. I walked back into the room with the nurse and laid back down on the bed...well more like propped up.
"The doctor will be with you shortly to give you guys the result of the x-ray." She said and she left the room.
"God I want out of here." she said.
"Why?"
"Man it is hectic in the emergency room. There was people shouting and shit and it was getting on my fucking nerves. Thank God we are in a private room." she said rubbing my eyes.
"You're tired aren't you?"
"No I ain't. What time is it?" She asked yawning.
"It's 6pm."
"Oh Lord really?" She asked throwing my head against the pillow.
"Yeah. I know we've been for hours."
"They don't hurry up I'm walking my ass out." She said in an aggitated yawn.
"Fienix why don't you close your eyes and get some rest. I'll wake you when the doctor comes in."
************************FIENIX'S POV*************************
I turned my head and closed my eyes but I didn't feel like going to sleep so I just made Matt think I was. I'm so sneaky! Ha ha!! I heard the door open and so did my eyes. The doctor walked in with my x-rays in hand. Thank god now I can get taped up or whatever and get the fuck out of this damn place.
"I have you x-ray Fienix. You have 4 broken ribs and I need to tape you up and then you will be released."
"Thank the Lord." I said smiling. The doctor placed my x-rays down on the chair and went to get a nurse. I look over at Matt and he was asleep.
"Matt?" I said trying to wake him up. No answer.
"Matt...Matt wake your ass up!" I yelled and he jumped to his feet.
"What? What?"
"The doctor said that I have 4 broken ribs. He went to get a nurse, he'll be back in a minute and then we cam leave." I said smiling. Matt came over and sat down on the bed once again. Just as he sat down the doctor and nurse came in with 2 orderlies and they raised up my shirt.
The doctor and nurse began taping me up. They pulled pretty hard to get the tape to stay in place and i had hardly any movement. The doctor finally got done with taping me up. Good god that took forever.
"While you are taped up there are some things you can and cant do. First of all don't take a shower or bath, sponge bathe only. You have to have someone to do it for you because if you cant reach around. Second, do no bend down and do not sit down in low lying chairs or sofas."
"Alright thank you..Can we get out of here now?" I asked.
"Yes of course." Matt grabbed my hand and we walked out of the hospital. I gently sat down in Matt's car and we began our journey back to the house. I looked at the clock on the radio and it was now 8pm and I was so damn tired. I leaned my head against the window and fell asleep barely but before I knew it we had stopped in the driveway and Matt came around and helped me out. We walked in and the guys were sitting in the living room. We walked in and Syn looked over at us.
"Hey girl! How you feel?"
"Oh lord Syn I'm so fucking sore." I said holding onto my ribs.
"So what did the doctor say?"
"She has 4 broken ribs." Shadows said and by the look on Syn's face I could tell he was pissed off in that little instant.
"Oh wow! They taped you up didn't they?" Jimmy asked.
"Yeah." I said and I raised up my shirt and showed the guys my taped up ribs.
"Covered up them bruises too." Matt said. I yawned and tried to stretch but I cringed in pain and held my ribs.
"Be careful girl! Let them ribs heal!'' Zacky said concerned.
"I know Zacky."
"Let me get you to bed okay." Matt said taking my hand. We walked up to his room and I laid down and he laid down beside me wrapping one big arm around me. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I don't really know why I wrote this with her only using their stage names...when this was posted on Mibba I really didn't know anything about writing a good solid story..
