Forgotten Faces

Mia´s POV

I got a message from Matt this morning. He said that we needed to talk and that it would make my decision easier.
So I waited for my break at work and called him.
“Hi Matt… do you have a minute? You said I should call you.”
“Yeah, I will make it short. I met someone Mia… And I just wanted to let you know first… I mean we are not together or anything… but I…”
My heart stopped. Hadn´t he told me just a couple of weeks ago that he will always be there for me… that he was falling in love with me… And just like that he had someone else…
But when I thought about it a little longer it hurts but it wasn’t the feeling I had when I lost Brian. “Are you happy when you are with her, Mattie?”
He coughs a little “Yes. I am… But Mia we are still friends. I still love you with everything that is in me… and…”
I nodded and a tear was falling down my cheek… It was not from sadness it was because I thought Matt was happy now. With me he always had sadness around him.
“Thank you, Matt. I wish you all the luck in the world with her.”
“Thanks Mia. I hope to see you soon. And Brian he is dying to see you…”
“I will call him after work again. Have a good show tonight, Mattie!”
“Bye”

Heather´s POV

I got a call from Jimmy this morning. I should wait at the door for the postman. It would be very important that I and Mia would do whatever he said. We should take the envelope from the postman and do whatever is written in the letter. Without question and the main problem as Jimmy put it would be to get Mia on board with the whole plan.
So I asked her tome come over. Jimmy knew that I got vacation for the next couple of days and asked me to call Mia´s work and ask for the same. I did that and it was no problem.

“He met someone new. And told you that on the fucking phone?!” Heather shook her head.
“To be honest I am relieved. I made my decision yesterday. I want to try it again with Brian if he still wants me back. And I had no idea how I would have told it to Matt without breaking his heart. But with his call this morning he gave me the best way out without hurting someone.” Mia smiled, ”Matt was happy and I would be happy again with Brian. I just needed to call him after the show tonight and inform him about the happy news.”

The doorbell rang and Heather sprinted for the door.
“A letter for Mrs. Connor and Mrs. Bynn?” the postman looked at us in question.
“That would be us. Thank you.”
I took my letter and opened it first:

My dearie,

You will find in this letter the instruction you need to fulfill exactly as described.

1.Find the plane ticket to Spain
2.Dance around cause you just figured out you are flying to Spain!!!
3.Find the ticket to our show this evening
4.Cry a little cause baby I will be crying when I see you again!!!
5.The car outside is waiting and will bring you to the airport so begin packing immediately!
6.Don’t forget the black lace underwear we bought!
7.Don’t forget that I love you! See you this evening!

I looked up to Mia she looked as stunned as me.
She gave me her letter and I read it:

My lovely Mia,

I know you haven’t made you decision just know. But I need to see you anyway. I love you!
Find enclosed the plane ticket and the VIP ticket to our show.
During the show I have a special surprise for you.
I can´t wait to see you again.

PS. Sorry, I opened the letter but I needed to see what he was writing.
