Forgotten Faces

Matt´s POV

We were for more than 2 weeks on the road now. Mia called me every day after the show and asked how the show was. I didn’t know if it was a good sign or not. Brian and I were talking normal again. We just avoided Mia in any of our discussions. I couldn’t believe how good it felt to have my friend back. I had missed him even if I haven’t realized it.

Still I missed Mia´s company in the evening and just say during the whole day. But Brian was even worst he drank way too much and even if he thinks no one notices he stole so many glances at his phone for any sign of her or just looking at old pictures of them. I felt guilty for trying to steal it from him…

And he was working on a new song, I heard him play on his guitar and quietly singing along. We worked together on the album but he never came up with lyrics for a song… I was curious what he had figured out…

Brian´s POV

I can’t get this fucking melody and text out of my head. I wrote it down hundreds and thousands of times but still it doesn’t work the way it should…
I sang softly always thinking about Mia.

I needed Matt on this one. He was the expert for the lyrics and such… I went to him.
“Hey Matt… I can´t get this melody and text out of my head. But I only got it this far from the lyrics …wait I play the solo first and then what I got…just listen…

So, what if I never hold you, or kiss your lips again?

Matt looked at me stunned.
“That bad?” I looked at him in question.
He shook his head. “Brian that is absolutely amazing. I can imagine something like that…
We were both throwing in pieces of lyrics and I was playing along with my guitar.
And after 2 more hours the whole song was pretty much done.

Matt´s POV

“That one is for Mia is it not?!” I asked him but I already knew the answer.
“Yeah it is… I just had this in my head since we left… and it was time to get it on paper…” Brian shrugged his shoulders.
“You know, that one is really beautiful she will love that song.” I clapped him on the shoulder.

Oh fuck, he looked so devastate I had to do something, even if it might cost my own heart in the process.
I went to the hotel to find Jimmy. I needed some help with my plan...
